I'll post my thoughts later but here's the pics and vids, it's all anyone cares about anyways. Here is the link for all videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIjgJFIc9iCEQkyTq--_78Q Brett Kean looked good today besides one terrible looking pass which got intercepted by Auggie Sanchez. And for the full blown crazed fan like me here on some pictures: http://s56.photobucket.com/user/BlownDaytona500/slideshow/2016%20Spring%20Practice Edited April 6, 2016 by usfbullrider

Are they blaring music the entire time as well? I want to hit the Pinellas Park practice up but I'll have my 4 month old baby with me and she'll probably get pissed if it's too loud. My advice would be to leave her with grandma so you can focus more on football!

Popular Post usfbullrider Posted April 6, 2016 Group: Member Topic Count: 64 Content Count: 3,222 Reputation: 387 Days Won: 8 Joined: 07/30/2011 Author Popular Post Share Posted April 6, 2016 So this was a more of a situational scrimmage practice than anything else. Practice was focused on short yardage situation and redzone offense and defense. The defense was susceptible to misdirection multiple times today which has me worried. Woulard did not participate in these situations, it was just Flowers and Kean. I found that odd but it may just be Keans day to showcase his skills and the coaches may pick teams for a full blown scrimmage Saturday where I'm sure Woulard will participate. I should say though, you could plug and play Kean in for Flowers and not have to change the playbook/playcalling one bit, he's very athletic and sneaky, which is perfect for the option. Kean showed a lot of confidence with the playbook and poise in the pocket. He had confidence throwing the ball even after a shaky start to the practice for him. Flowers was very reserved throwing the ball as usual and took care of the ball as best as anyone could. The only thing that is hard to grade Flowers on is his ability to break contain and break arm tackles and throw bombs downfield or scamper for 20yards. So we won't know how well Flowers is performing based on non-tackle practices, ever IMO. Willie Taggart's investment in Eric Mayes may finally pay dividends this year as he is back to his High School form, even chasing down Flowers sideline to sideline which was reminiscent of his HS film. He has also gotten stronger to my eyes. Somebody to watch out for for his first real action this year is Mayes. Daniel Awoleke is also somebody to watch out for as he is very versatile and has an arsenal of pass rush weapons to beat the man in front of him. Kevin Bronson seems to be the strongest of the bunch and his body now looks more in line of DT and he's running with the 1's as was Hector. Senat is running with the 2's but it may be just a one day thing as he is still extremely important to this defense. Out there at Bull position I think we might see a slight resurgence of Josh Black who seems to be quick to get around an OT. The defensive line seems to be a mess right now and I hope they can find a combination(s) that work. There is plenty of talent but the line is not all that deep at the moment. Strongside Defensive end is really missing Eric Lee right now. Offensive line looks to be pretty set for now as they have a rotating 1 and 2's. Not much to mention here, Atterbury looks solid and has a mean streak, Galati looks like a tree stump at center, but he needs to get more consistent with snaps. Saw one early snap and one bad snap but there were probably more. Not too bad for Spring and breaking in a new starting Center. I really like Amichia and Atterbury right now at the Tackle spots. Bethel was getting work with the 2's and he is a mountain but didn't seem as locked in as Amichia or Atterbury. I didn't see Jeremi Hall or Mitchell Wilcox out there today. I have some videos of the Olinemen facing off against the Dlinemen which is always fun to watch. Elkanah Dillon looks good for now, although I still have questions regarding his awareness and blocking downfield. The defensive backs that stood out to me were Khalid McGee, Ronnie Hoggins and Malik Dixon who has good size out there at Safety. This unit has question marks for me suprisingly. They don't seem to be in spot to make plays at times, almost invisible. Jancek better get to work. At linebacker, no suprises I think we'll be seeing alot of Sanchez and Harris, and as long as Harris stays within team rules, he is our best linebacker option along with Sanchez, they have obvious chemistry and trust which can't be stressed enough on a defense that seems disjointed at the moment. Cecil Cherry has a lot of potential but he was missing tackles and wasn't reading the offense good enough to contend at starter mike position. Danny Thomas did not participate in the situational stuff and he was having a long conversation with Taggart I don't know what about but it wasn't good. Nick Holman is getting better and seems in-tune with the defense now. At Wide Receiver, there were some success today, but not much. Flowers was reserved and maybe just couldn't find an open man (now I'm contradicting myself). Brett Kean hooked up with Aikens a couple of times in a row and his FB who I'm not familiar with, and DJ. AJ Legree did not have a good day cathing the ball however I'm not sure the passes thrown to him were all that great (one was thrown behind him another was thrown late and Hoggins was on top of him and made a play). Valdes Scantling was double covered in the endzone and DJ tossed one to him on a trick play but it looks like he was interferred with early so it's really hard to evaluate this unit .

The problem with team scrimmages are that every good play by one group on the team is likely a mistake or breakdown by another group of the team.
