Judging by the replies, I don't think anyone saw that. But why couldn't a corporate headquarters use some of that office complex down by Fletcher and 75?

Hidden River and Tampa Oaks office parks are pretty substantially built out.  Im not sure exactly whats left of developable land but uncleared lots lack the appeal of the MOSI site.  Its essentially on the campus of a major research University and has existing buildings and infrastructure that could appeal as a near move in ready property to quickly occupy.  Im not sure its that great an area for that type of thing much like it isnt really working for MOSI either. Municipalities want the tax revenue off that site as theyve put a lot into it over the years.

  2. The American Athletic Conference team is the FPI underdog in all eight bowl games involving an AAC team, but that does not mean the conference will lose all eight games. FPI expects the AAC to win about three of eight games this bowl season (38 percent), the lowest percentage of any conference.

Early limit bets (Teams that had attracted an early limit bet at Vegas book CG Technology as of Dec. 15, per vice president Jason Simbal)                        Louisiana Tech -1.5 (vs. Arkansas State)   New Mexico +12 (vs. Arizona)   South Florida +4 (vs. Western Kentucky)  Ohio +9 (vs. Appalachian State)
     Penn State +7 (vs. Georgia)

-- South Florida owns the best ATS record of any bowl team at 9-2-1.

    GO BULLS!

That high ATS record is due to the speed of the program's resurrection and that success takes awhile to get baked into the lines every week.  That said, I think we will handle our business and getting 4 points makes for some nice money line odds.

  3. But, but, but...that can't be.  Coaches don't adapt as the season progresses and as they begin to see that their players are starting to get it. </sarcasm>

I find that article in the Times pretty funny, it seems like there are more than just a few people believing Hope is calling the plays.  Whatever process he has for taking OC 'input' into his decision making on that end is working.  Id be wary of any disruption to either of the two co-oc's and head coach as it might have a negative impact on our soaring offense.

  4. Seeing the players execute better makes the games more fun for all of USF. Seeing better blocking. Teams can't predict the play calling as easy now since the players are making plays.

Yes to all of this and also the lack of bonehead 15 yard roughness penalties.  Actually even penalties along the lines seemed way down, what a difference it makes when you can stop shooting yourself in the foot and get your defense off the field when you make stops. But I agree the real difference maker is teams seem not ready to adjust we will actually take our shots and not just run, run, pass our way through the game regardless of situation.

South Florida cornerback and kick returner Chris Dunkley told The Baltimore Sun that he will visit the Ravens next week along with the New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions. Dunkley is a converted wide receiver and Florida transfer who's also had a private workout for the Miami Dolphins and Patriots, and visited the San Diego Chargers and Atlanta Falcons. "It's a childhood dream," Dunkley said in a telephone interview. "It's crazy how it's finally getting closer and closer. My destiny is starting to come true." Dunkley played in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl allstar game and participated in an NFL regional combine. Dunkley started 10 games at cornerback last season.

At cornerback, Dunkley had 26 tackles, one sack, 1.5 tackles for losses and led the team with five pass breakups. He had one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. "I'm a real good corner," Dunkley said. "Some teams are still shocked thatI switched to corner my last year in college. I have better hips than a lot of guys who have been playing corner all four years in college. "I'm a very exciting player. I'm very good at route recognition because I played the postion before. I'm good at picking up routes. I know the splits. I know what receivers like to do." Dunkley had seven tackles, two pass breakups, a 41yard kick return and a 24yard punt return in his first game as a cornerback last season. He was an allconference kick returner, averaging 24 yards per kickoff return and 8.5 yards per punt return. "Special teams are always an important part of the game," Dunkley said. "You can change the game in one play. Every time I touch the ball in the return game be ready for me to take it to the house." Dunkley started seven games as a junior and caught seven passes for 87 yards. He had 18 kickoff returns for 406 yards, returning a punt 50 yards for a touchdown. He also scored a touchdown on a reverse and named the Bulls' MostImproved Player.

Dunkley transferred to South Florida in 2011 after redshirting at Florida while dealing with hamstring and academic problems. Dunkley served a suspension in 2012 for a misdemeanor domestic violence battery case that was resolved through a pretrial intervention program as a firsttime offender with the charges nolle prossed by prosecutors. Dunkley was reinstated and earned back his scholarship after initially rejoining the team as a walkon. Dunkley played at Pahokee High School and was named to the Under Armour AllAmerican game after catching 103 career passes for 1,923 yards and 16 touchdowns. Dunkley was an allstate selection who caught 34 passes for 721 yards and four touchdowns as a senior and 40 catches for 596 yards and six touchdowns as a junior. Dunkley has been working out with Ravens safety Matt Elam in Boca Raton, Fla. Dunkley is friends with Elam and Ravens safety Will Hill, two former Florida Gators, and former Ravens outside linebacker Pernell McPhee, who went to Pahokee. "I'm best friends with Matt and real good friends with Will Hill," Dunkley said. "I've been training with Matt. That's my guy. He's ready to go this season, trust me. He's been working very hard to get ready."

Dunkley has heard different things about his draft stock, but has gotten positive feedback from teams. "They've been watching a lot of film of me and I'm hearing good things," Dunkley said. "I'm learning a lot about the draft process. Some teams say I should be there to draft the third day of the draft. I'm just going with the flow and working hard and ready for whatever happens next. I'm hoping for the best and preparing for the worst."

  6. The mental mistakes on offensive side of the ball by both coaches and players has to somewhat attributable to the complex, line shifting business of our scheme right? So now what if Kinnan and Willie simplify things to the point where a bunch of options are available from no huddle based on a handful of foundational sets? I'm grasping at straws here trying to figure it out but if HS kids can run a variety of the offense we are said to be pursuing, certainly USF can?

  7. I don't see how our low rated recruiting class this year is because we are waiting on undecided recruits that will commit late. The classes are ranked in relation to other teams in the country. Presumably all teams would suffer from similar situations of undecided recruits which wouldn't effect the rankings. Unless you are saying that USF has an abnormal number of recruits committing late. Last years class was looking good and rated higher than 50 from very early on.

For perspective on Rivals we are behind FAU and FIU but ahead of Michigan and UF.  Cant put much stock in this yet,

  8. I thinking you are saying we've had poor luck with coaches and in turn, we should soon get good coaches, having been so unlucky lately. What's more likely is that none of this is luck, but more a reflection of leadership in finding quality coaches that will out coach and out scheme our opponents. Given our level of competition and rankings of recent recruiting classes, the tools to be above average are there.
