  1.

As ugly as these games have been, and they have been UGLY, the offense has been able to move the ball with White at QB.

White is a true freshman, and he plays like it, but you have to think he will only get better given a full offseason in Taggart's system. He is accurate and sees the field well. His interceptions have been a result of forcing passes that aren't there when we need quick scores late in the game.

The same could be said for the penalties. Taggart knows this is unacceptable. The illegal formations and false starts can be fixed (not sure about Lynch's or Price's issues).

I'm not an optimist, we are likely going to get buried by UCF, and it will be rock bottom. However, I see where Taggart is trying to take this team, it's just going to take longer than 10 games to get there.

This may be the most inaccurate post I have ever read.

    Please, do explain.

Taggart was handed a turd and is trying to turn it into a winning team. It isn't going to happen overnight.

This team is bad, really bad, but it will get better.

  3. 2-7 and almost the whole forum is against him.

That quote is taken out of context, and reading the rest of what he said, I really don't have an issue with it.

He said they will get better, they will recruit the right guys, and that we are limited at receiver. Is any of that wrong?

Let's stop criticizing everything Taggart does, this season is bad enough already.

  4. I think how many freshman we see playing every game says a lot about what Taggart thinks of the players Skippy left him.

If Taggart keeps the recruiting up, we will be fine. We had NO OFFENSE for 7 games. It's hard to win like that, but our special teams have been improved over Holtz, the defense looks better as we get further into the year, and if White can play well and stay healthy we have a bright future.

The 2012 season was the worst ever.

  5. I seriously don't understand our fans sometimes.

They are up, we are down. It happens. It isn't the end of the world. USF made a bad hire and we are paying for it. Hopefully Taggart is the guy to bring USF to where we were (and higher).

However, isn't the plan for USF to build an indoor practice facility next? And, I could certainly be wrong, but the last time I looked, USF was ranked higher academically by a few schools. It has been a long time since I saw the stats on that though.

USF has had a couple bad seasons and lost a lot of the momentum of our move to the Big East, but with a few 8+ win seasons we could get it back.

Finally, this team is still fighting to become bowl eligible. I truly think 5-6 wins is possible after seeing White play.

  6.

Although I don't get the hate towards Southern Miss, if there is one coach that can find a way to lose to a terrible team, it's Skip Holtz.

How long have you followed USFf football?

Since I graduated high school, in 2006. Reading other comments makes the hate understandable, I guess, but who cares about C-USA? We moved past them, they are on a 20 game losing streak. I'd rather them win than Holtz, screw him.

  7. Was it a bad call - YES.

Did it cost us the game - No.

Did it effect the outcome - Absolutely. Just as Houston scoring in 3 plays to start the game, or the onside kick, or the next play after that...

It didn't cost us the game?

That ONE play would have put us up either 29-28 or 31-28. Putting the pressure on Houston to score with 4 minutes left (they had only scored once since halftime, believe it or not). That play was the game.
