So he succeeded here because of the players, if he succeeds at Oregon, it will be because of his coaching staff ...... jilted lovers, indeed.

Leavitt was huge...his d will prop coach up in a bunch of these games...he is on the cusp though of getting a hc gig again very soon though..I wouldn't be surprised if he got one after next season

While it often seemed like opponents had career bests against our defense, our offense racked up some amazing records. I'd like to capture all of them in one place, please help.

It was a great year to be a BULL!

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    11 wins. Wow!

    12 one-play drives

Adams had 67 receptions for 822 yards, both records

    17-straight 30-point games

First Florida team ever to have a QB with 2,000 yards passing and 1,000 yards rushing

There are a bunch more you're leaving out as well...it's been a fantastic season

All of these rankings are based on total talent, which makes big classes better than small classes. It's much better for comparison sake to rank the class on AVERAGE athlete star ranking. Based on this, how did we rank, I wonder?

This is correct...we have a pretty decent average star rating...that being said we had and still may have some higher ranked recruits we can land

This, I think.  there's always a chance a local stud wants to stay (like DT Oliver at Houston).  Not sure what he can do with the 2017 class, but hope he can improve from where Taggart left him:  70-80 ranking, which is no bueno for a 10-2 (the pessimist in me wonders if Taggart didn't press as hard, expecting to leave).

If Taggart stayed the class I think would have ended up in the 40's...the commits all would stayed and there are a couple of 4 star backs he legitimately had a chance at landing...Strong still may have a solid finish though once he announces his staff and starts hitting the recruiting trail

  5. There are plenty of other metrics they leave out because of course it would make them look worse...for example...number of bowl wins...alltime winning percentage, winning percentage vs top 25 teams, winning percentage vs p5 teams, head to head record...that doesn't stop our crazy little friends from kicking and screaming in the twitter verse now does it...

You are not going to like next year as we will have to run up scores when we can due to the poor out of conference scheduling.

It's gonna be like the old WAC...well, hopefully our defense improves so we aren't in as many shootouts

Who from UCF is talking?  As said by Trip many times, link?

Pretty  sure Coach S Frost has been showering USF with praise for  the recent  results.

The UCF football team has never really talked trash that I can remember. ..it's always been their crazy fan base that really pisses everyone off...they talk all kinds of trash then they kinda disappear

Some posts yesterday in the game thread that we should have gone for 2 when we got to 41-34 to make it a 2 possession game. I did not agree with that as being up 8 forces the other team to make at least 2 good plays as opposed to one.

Seattle had just exactly that situation against New England and failed the two point conversion. I get the strategy but wide open to second guessing.

Yeah without a doubt you kick...we can't stop their offense and kept leverage by kicking the extra point

I'm sorry, in a head to head contest we beat Navy...I feel like I'm taking crazy pills

I know their are other indicators...besides head to head records....other indicators considered put us very close to each other...when that happens you have to look at if the teams have played each other, and what was the result

Navy only has 2 losses and one of those is against a dominant air force team. Plus their strength of schedule is much tougher than ours.

Virginia tech also deserves to be ranked. They lost to a very good Syracuse team that would pound us.
