That over the last 34 games, USF has the 6th best record in all of FBS? Pretty darn impressive no matter the level of competition.

    1. Alabama - 32-2

    2. Clemson - 30-4

    3. Ohio St. - 29-5

    3. Oklahoma - 29-5

    3. Wisconsin - 29-5

    6. USF (aka South Florida) - 28-6

Feel free to add other statistically interesting facts to this thread as we wait for the next 5 days and 1.5 hours to tick by before game time!

Nice stats, now add the SOS...

I'll give you the wine part. Can't argue with the biggest wine cellar in the world. Food is meh ...

El Puerto in ybor is way better and a fraction of the price.

Forty-some years ago, my big brother was in town for a visit so we all went to Bern's. When he ordered a $200 bottle of wine ($600 today after inflation), I nearly pooped my pants!

No way some spoiled grape juice could be worth that kind of money, LOL

Same...I have been defending him for three years now but I am done. Attendance reporting is one thing but going over to talk to those people is another...

maybe he just wanted to take the wife and kids to mickeyworld and stopped at the campus so the paper would pay for the trip over and back....

Got a Honda generator last year.  Ridiculously quiet compared to the lawn mower noise produced by our Champion 3000 watt before it.  Someone else mentioned using an inverter off of your vehicle battery.  We used to run our TV, direct TV box, and one fan off of a 400 watt inverter connected to the battery of my truck.  It works, but don't forget to start your truck every so often or you'll be making a run to Wal Mart after the game.  Also, if it rains (which it always seems to at least a few games at the beginning of the season), you will need to figure out how to keep water from getting under the hood, while also providing sufficient airflow to keep the inverter cool.  We use the inverter now as a backup in case the generator fails, runs out of gas, etc.

If you want to run an inverter, get a Marine Deep Cycle battery installed as a second battery on an isolated circuit. You can charge it from the alternator (or at home), and since it's isolated, you can always start the vehicle. Don't try this with regular car batteries, they're not designed to be drained and recharged, they need to stay above 10V all the time.

I purchased a 2,000 W Honda Inverter last August. More than I need for tailgating but came in handy running the fridge and a fan (and thank you Jesus - phone chargers) after Irma

    And very quiet.

Dual-purpose is good. Buy more wattage than you need for just the tailgate.

Also, make sure it's got USB output, not just 110. Never have to look for the adapters that way.

No, it's just not normal or a place where a program traditionally wants to be. This is basic ****. If you're coaching and S&C are good the guys that have been its longer SHOULD be better than kids who have been in it for a few months. Yes, you can find some exceptions but again, they are exceptions. If your coaching and S&C are better than the kids had in high school they will be playing catch up to kids who have had that advantage for 2-3 years, all other things equal. If you were talking about skill/speed positions I'd be right there that it's not unusual for those kids, but typically, for the big boys things are either really good or really bad if you're playing them as true freshmen.

They can get them ready from a S&C standpoint in the summer and sometimes spring workouts. I see it all the time when kids comeback with an extra 20 pounds just by simply changing their diet and putting them in some kind of routine. Kirby walked in the door at 248 and Leacock at 269 so its not like they needed to add that much and there isn't much fat on either one of them. Leacock I know, I saw him face to face as a HS senior. Most of the development has to come from a mental and technical standpoint and that comes down to how many reps you are getting, is it 2 deep reps or scout team reps. It all comes down to talent and whos in the position group.

You're both right, since you're arguing specifics against generals.

USUALLY seniors will have the edge, OCCASIONALLY freshmen will start.

For too many years we haven't had the recruiting or depth, and have started a lot of underclassmen that wouldn't have seen the field that early at most programs. I'm always happy to see a  freshman beat out a senior - may the best man win !!!

Any recommendations on a portable generator for powering TV/Cable Box? Don’t need anything crazy for lights or cooking. Really would just like to be able to watch college gameday and some of the games prior

When I did the research last year, the Hondas were the quietest. By far.

You'll remember the noise long after you've forgotten the extra bucks.
