What are the great talents he brought to IL ?
Mendenhall, Brit Miller, Doug Pilcher, Juice Williams, Jon Asamoah, Will Davis, Vontae Davis, Antonio Steele, Martez Wilson, Rejis Benn, Josh Brent, Mikel Leshoure, Tavon Wilson, Jeff Allen, Michael Buchanan, Justin Green, Jonathan Brown, Darius Millines, Chandler Whitmer, etc, etc, etc. All highly or relatively highly sought recruits.
Ok, but how did he do with all that talent?
I will let you know........HE GOT FIRED for poor on field results!

Ummm, you might want to take a closer look at the larger point I was making in this thread.
I agree with you, NO THANKS! I'm just letting all those who like him know he didn't do crap with tons of NFL caliber talent!

I'm serious! This guy had was **** good at UF. I think he's a little unproven, no HC experience, but he's probably within our price range and has some of the top Bay Area talent committed to play D for him. Perhaps one or more would come with him! By the way saw bunch of emotion and intensity on the sideline from him during UF games I saw this year!
Oh and by the way, he's a finalist for the top assistant coach in the nation! I will say that again....top assistant coach in the nation!

HOT is a J-O-K-E joke!
They sounded like garbage, were pathetic and had no clue when to play at both football and basketball, when I was a student 10 years ago.
This hasn't changed, they got shown up by a tiny portion of the FSU band that was in the far corner of the upper level and the halftime shows are terrible!
I've been to high school games with bands that have better performances. I know that the attendance at home football games has been horrible, to say the least, but
have any of you watched the half time shows!?!? I have, they SUCK worse than our football team!

Every team in the country has injuries and most don't point to them as excuses.
Too be fair the loss of BJ is a huge loss for USF. It made out offense as bad as our defense.
However, we were 3-6 with BJ as the starter (counting the Connecticut game he was hurt in), so it's not like the injuries made us any worse.

holtz should have recruited a top qb in each of last 3 years

Top tier talent isn't lining up to come to USF, but I'm with you, a 3 star QB or even a 2 star should be recruited every year. If I was a HC somewhere, I would have 1 QB in every recruiting class. Sometimes those 2 and 3 star guys turn out to be diamonds in the rough. Look at Aaron Rogers, he had to go to JUCO because no one offered him, now he's arguably one of the best QBs in the NFL

The soccer and track stadium holds 4k that may work for next season and then we can add moving us to an OCS as one of skips accomplishments.
