  1. Ok I don't get the logic here. If she did something that bad and you don't think she should play, than you put her in when we are down by 9?????? So did she do anything that bad?  If so than why bring her in at all? If she didn't than why sit her and put your team in a bad position from the start. Not a fan of sitting players for the first qt or half ect... Its either you play them or bench them.  Why disrupt the chemistry.

    Puzzled here.

  2. We really got screwed in the bracket this year, Our first game is against a 1 loss team(a Conference Champion). Filled with International players like our team. Will be a difficult task but think we pull out the win if we play our game.(we  played a more difficult schedule this year, however anyone who only loses one game cant be taken lightly).  The second game if it goes according to the seeding's will also be difficult. Good team in their Bld. ( I picked us to win this game as well in my bracket). I also picked us going all the way until we meet UConn for the right to advance to the Final 4.

Lets Go Ladies and cant wait to watch you represent.

I think part of the reason the mid 2000s games had great attendance was they were in September.  Being on the same weekend as FSU-UF is a tough sell, especially on Thanksgiving.  I'm glad they've made the right move and made it on Saturday at least this year.

Not sure the date of the game is as much to blame as the teams records when the game is being played.  When we were winning our fans showed up regardless of who we were playing, UCF fans also made the trek.  The last few seasons (before last year)we were bad and our attendance dropped.  UCF still brought a lot of fans to the last game played here in Tampa.  Last years game the attendance was down due to UCF being winless.  (their fans didn't show like they usually do when they play us) (don't blame them giving their season) We took a decent number to Orlando though.

  4. QF is the starter until he is not, plain and simple.   Anyone  can unseat any starter for any giving reasons: performance or lack of performance, injuries, off the field issue , ect...    Any moment anyone could be called up to play.   With that said QF is the starter until he is not.

We should be happy to finally have competition at the main position(QB),Should push them ALL to be better.

Nice to see, but we're 3.5 years since this thread started based on TY's posts - not gonna hold my breath.

So he says 4 teams for expansion,  (USF, UCF to get the Florida market) (UConn will be announced this summer) and according to Matt mentions Cincy is the 4th team with his question .  Yoda mentions (Colorado St, BYU, Memphis) .  So basically nothing to report here folks, just more opinions hoping that one sticks.    Until  the Big 12 and or USF announces anything, there is nothing to worry about or that we can do other than buy tickets, make donations and show up for games.  "Do Something" and do our part Bulls Community.

  6. Sorry meant to say USF is about 900 miles away from Morgantown , where as UConn is 795 miles away from Cincy according to your other post.   About  100 miles difference.  Bottom line no one is driving to ANY of the schools u proposed. So its really not a big deal.

USF is within 2 to 3 hours from Most if not ALL Big 12 schools via air. Time to come into the present day.  Bus trips are a thing of the past for the most part.

UCONN is on island, and USF isn't?  UCONN is only 525 miles from Morgantown, and about 795 from Cincy.

USF is on an island but its smack in the middle of one of the largest tv markets in the country as I pointed out unlike UConn, and in one of the best if not best recruiting states in the country.    USF is about 100 miles OR so further away from Morgantown than Cincy is.  You do realize that we have airplanes so that 100 miles is  like 10 -15 minutes max more. But the time saved by not having to drive once they land will all but make up for it. TIA is one of the best airports in the nation with direct flights to most major cities or easy connections.   (Not even close) One of the best with on time arrivals and departures as well unlike the northern cities. (Every day there is a potential for a delay or cancellation flying into the Northeast esp during BB and Football season.

Oh Christ I hope those deck chairs are not in the Titanic.

Turns out, administrators at both schools have met (to varying degrees) with Big 12 officials, who presumably will expand their league at some point. Meantime, any ongoing efforts by Bulls brass to market USF to the Power Five conference might best be described as covert.

"I'm very confident of where we sit and what we're doing," Bulls athletic director Mark Harlan said Friday.

I like this statement the best "Im very confident of where we sit and what we're doing"  One would assume that it would mean getting into the Big leagues and not being left behind in the Pee Wee league.  Anyone who would think staying in the AAC instead of a power conference would need to be ran out of town  (Harlan appears to be too smart to think the AAC is the best option)

Big12 is very much a basketball conference (6 of 10 in the AP Top 25 and 4 of 10 in WBB), UCONN and Cincinnati would add value to that.

    http://cincyontheprowl.com/2015/04/06/bearcats-basketball-attendance-highest-in-mick-cronin-era/

Ill make a few counter points,  1. They don't need another Big time Basketball program since they already have a good Basketball conference as you state, but for how long? 2. Much easier to build a  good BB team than a FB Team, takes less time, can be done in  one or two recruiting cycles unlike football which typically takes longer.  3. Football is the Cash Cow, Not basketball.  (TV money, ticket sales ect..) (Fewer BB programs turn a profit than  football programs).(USF is reflective of this as well)  4.  Look at the Old Big East ( was the best BB conference in its day and now look at it)( One year its the Big East, one year the ACC, The next the Big 10 ect...)    So with that said I feel certain that  BB will NOT drive the expansion train.  I also think UConn is getting way too much credit for Big 12 consideration,  They are on an island by themselves (Worse the WVU)  , Also not much of a TV  market either. (# 30 )(we are # 13)  http://www.stationindex.com/tv/tv-markets  Not much for recruiting either.   Cincy is a legit threat to take a spot though. Good Football and BB for years, good recruiting base, (not as good as Florida) and about the same size tv market as UConn

I'm well aware of our history I was there from the KW game to the present including AU and El Paso, I was just trying to educate those who think that Houston is a new be. I too believe the administration is working behind the scenes to get us back into a meaningful conference.

Thanks for the clarification.   Interesting times ahead that is for sure, (Esp with all the other schools making their wishes known publicly)(Cincy,UConn and Houston).  Hopefully you and I are correct and our Administration isn't sleeping at the wheel, Time will tell.

Houston used to be a member with the big boys as in the old SWC before it blew up so they're tired of life at the kiddy table and are putting a full court press on to get back there.

Not sure how long u have been following USF football but we too were part of the so called Big Boys when we played in the Big East ( what was known as a power conference with an automatic BCS bid to one of the Big Bowls).  USF needs to be going "full court" as well if they are not ( which we don't really know).   USF has typically kept their intentions close to the vest in the past.  With that said don't be surprised at what Harlan and Judy are working on behind the scenes. (have to figure they are on top of the situation).

So does he deserve the third year no matter what the on court results have been over the first two years?

He deserves a 3rd year based on his current situation.  He came in and basically started fresh (mass exodus of players, transfers , graduation , injuries, and players not wanted back ect..) He had to build from the ground up. He also had to change the culture (not an easy task)(still a work in process but can see some of the rewards).   Im not for keeping ANYONE for a certain length of time just for time's sake. I look at the situation in which they came in, and what they had to work with, what they have done, and what their vision is.  Now if we don't see a major improvement next season I suspect his seat will become hot If not scorching.    I think he will right the ship.  Time will tell.

We can not fall into the Instant gratification trap that society has become. Rome wasn't  built in a day. Some programs take longer to turn around than others.

  13. Can we now let the Fire Antigua talk die for the rest of the season.  Playing with half a team, been in most games this year, lots of youth and inexperience ect...  Give the man and players the rest of the season and Next before we call for his head.  Time to support them not tear them down or rip them apart.

  14. Trop would be a disaster and kill the attendance even more than it currently is.

Find this interesting :  Rays looking to build new stadium , Buckhorn wants to put it between Ybor and Downtown.   (You know who is building a new Downtown Medical Facility and College of Medicine)  Not that I would want the Bulls playing in a shared stadium with the Rays, Or the Bucs for the matter, But wonder how long before we start hearing the chatter? http://www.tbo.com/news/politics/buckhorn-wants-rays-ballpark-near-downtown-parking-garages-20160115/
