  1. Our assistant basketball coach (hired under Harlan) has been arrested several times more than Plies and convicted even more times.... so... either your statement is hyperbole or... it makes no sense.

Was his arrest in lines with this? On July 2, 2006, after a shooting at a Gainesville, Florida nightclub, Plies was charged with illegal possession of a concealed weapon, and members of his entourage were charged with attempted murder.[1] The shooting, in which 5 people were injured, started after Plies' microphone was cut off for Lil Boosie to perform, after Plies' performance ran over time. According to the promoter Jonathan Smith, Plies became "enraged". A fight began with fists and shouting, and ended with at least six rounds of bullets being fired

  2. AAC should see a nice bump in TV money next time we come up for negotiations in the very near future (keep in mind that ESPN will have to be a player in the contract or they would most likely start the whole conference realignment crap all over again and kill us off for good by having the other conferences take a few of our schools).   Personally I wish we had another TV network,  Despise the EVIL EMIPIRE that is Disney ABC, ESPN.

  3. No, you guys should realize I live where the majority of coaches live..... no still stand by that statement BTW....  the source is good...  CWT fault will be YBOR...  he wins out, he'll be ok....  I ENCOURAGE you to dig deeper into the Ybor incident...  bigger than you think

I Tend to agree esp with the last two incidents as well (shooting at bld by two players and the last one arrested for controlled substance).   I posted on here shortly  after the YBOR stabbing asking who is in charge of who is allowed in the locker room before and after games.  The night of the Ybor incident the rapper Plies was in the locker room hugging Coach T.    ( do a google search on him) (he has a rap sheet longer than some of the college transcripts of the players suspended this season).  "Birds of a feather flock together" kind of thing.   I suspect that Harlan is not happy with the OFF THE FIELD issues as much or more than the Lack of wins in the beginning of the season.   I think that Coach is still on the SUPER HOT seat unless he wins most of the remaining games and we have NO MORE off the field issues.

  4. Section 31.   Cant wait. Annapolis is a great city with lots to do and see,  Its also a short drive(30-35 miles ) to DC or Baltimore.    (Ravens play the Chargers on Sunday).     Its another hour or so to Philadelphia (Temple hosting ND  on Sat at 8pm) Should be beautiful weather.  Fall is def in the air up here in the NE.

  5. So a curfew is going to prevent a kid from carrying drugs around with him? Ok, I got it. So if this happens at 12:00 in the afternoon how does a curfew solve that? Being out late is not the issue in this situation.

Not going to prevent him from carrying a plant that grows naturally,  that is medicine for some and  should be legal NO,  But doing it the smart way,  in you Home, dorm room or hotel and not out in public or a car is what Im saying.  Had he done this he wouldn't be in the news today. So a curfew would had prevented this incident.

  6. You're not going to get good attendance against the bottom of the barrel AAC teams unless we are ranked or it's UCF. The hardcore fans already go, but the average fan of USF football is not going to spend 5+ hours of their time going to see us battle 1-6 SMU.

Than they are NOT REAL FANS

  7. Bad overreaction in this thread. Bulls show up when we win. It will happen with a delay, but it will happen. Best year for attendance was 2008, not 2007.

Tampa fans are the worst. Bandwagon fans.  Always an excuse for not showing up.    Not just the Bulls but all the teams.  "Rays play too far away"  even when we were having our playoff run's.  "Bucs are horrible" or "the Glazers are greedy",   "Its too hot to sit out for a game"   "its a bad game time"   blah blah blah...    We (our fans complain about the lack of respect from the rest of the country (espn) yet we give them all the fuel they need to make fun of our fan base.   If we want to be Big time(Power conference) than we need to start acting like a power conference school and supporting our team no matter what, esp now that we are turning it around and still in the conference race heading into the final week of Oct.

  8. Do you really believe 2 place means anything when none of the conference wins were against a team with a winning record?   OCC wins against FAMU (FCS)and Cuse (another team with a losing record) Don't prove much.

Look at the full body of work and put it in perspective.  Yes we have 3 losses,  but lets examine those losses. 1) FSU  on the road against the defending National champions currently ranked in the top 10 in their bld.  We played them well, all but one quarter really. (covered the spread as well).  We also Had opportunities to win the game.  2) Memphis currently in the top 20 and undefeated with a Heisman candidate QB. Held them to half their season average for points scored. Should had beaten them if not for a few plays. Lost by 7.  3) MD our one bad game of the year so far.   Ill give you that one.

The 4 wins were against:  1)Syracuse (Power conference school)beat them solidly ,(they were 3-1 at the time when we beat them, their loss coming from #8 LSU BY 10).  2) UConn conference mate that usually gives us trouble (at least in the past or played us closely),(they had a 500 record at the time(3-3) and it was their homecoming game)(beat them Solidly as well.  3)FAMU in our first game and we destroyed them 51-3.  4) SMU another conference mate, beat them by 24 today. ( held them to 14 points, half their season average for points scored).Last year squeaked out a win vs them.

So lets recap:  We  beat a Power conference School Syracuse  who had one loss at the time, Destroyed a cupcake, and spanked two conference mates.  We not only won, but covered the spread With points to spare.

This is the most exciting Team we have had in 5 or more years.   Lots of talent, explosive players and starting to show it.   If this is not enough to get fans interested I don't know what is.

  9. Flew down again this week from NW NJ mountains like I have for EVERY home game this year, and the FSU road game. (will be at Navy next week,  and the remaining home games as well as the UCF on thanksgiving).  Students attendance was pathetic to say the least.

In all seriousness, What does the school have to do to get students to come to the game? (don't give me the win and they come crap) We are on a 3 game winning streak , currently sitting in second place in the AAC East behind Temple (who we host in a cpl of weeks).   Having our best season in years.   The new generation of Instant gratification, selfies and social media is the problem.

  10. I thought the "elephant" was do we suck again or not.

I Think we turned the corner (at least it  appears to be the case).  Not that its going to happen but IF and that's a BIG IF we lose today than I'd be right there with you about the suck again.  Luckily for us Bulls fans we shouldn't have to entertain this thought today.

Bulls Win Big today.  (Have to come out fired up and hit some passes early)  Do this and we run  all over them ALL day.    SMU gives up a ton of yards and points.  They are horrible.   Heat could also play a factor late in game if we control TOP and run on them.   SMU will be in the full sun all game like Syracuse was.

  11.  Hoping for a huge BULLS (HOME WIN) Again today.   Also hoping that we don't wake up tomorrow only to hear about another incident  after a home win. (2 home wins this year) (2  Sunday's being all over the national news for horrible things overshadowing the win.),  (stabbing Death in Ybor and 2 players arrested for shooting up blds on campus).   Hopefully our  Young men have learned the lesson on how to celebrate , where not to be after the game, and what situations to avoid). Didn't want to bring this up, but Im sure Im not the only one with this on their mind.  Hopefully WILLY has them dialed in and on a short leash.
