  1. Depends when all the buyouts are due. USF is paying Willie T's $500k buyout from WKU. If that is due all at once, we don't have that in the budget.

According to GA, the buyout will be paid over 5 years.

"His contract will pay him $1.15-million a year for five years, which works to $850,000 less per year than Skip Holtz was making. USF will be paying his $500,000 buyout to Western Kentucky, so that works to an additional $100,000 per year, but it's worth noting that he will keep the same staff for his assistants as Holtz: $1.9-million, which should allow him to surround himself with solid recruiters as an extension of his own coaching philosophy."

  2. This is the most exciting thing to happen to USF in a long time.. Couldn't produces the W's on the field, but we can dream about the W's that will be produced in the future. I hope he puts together a solid staff, and puts a net around the immediate area in recruiting. I like his personality, looks like he has emotion (unlike SH), definitely has a swagger about himself. Can't wait to see what the staff looks like.

  3. What is he doing now? Does any one have his career summary to look at?

    Playing career

    1981–1984 Southern Jaguars

    1985-1988 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

    1989 Houston Oilers

    Position(s) Tight end

    Coaching career (HC unless noted)

    1996 South Florida (TE)

    1997-2000 South Florida (RB)

    2001-2004 West Virginia (RB)

    2005-2007 West Virginia (OC)

    2007 West Virginia (OC/Asst.)

    2008-2010 Michigan (OC)

    2011 Pittsburgh (Co-OC/RB)

    2012- Arizona (Co-OC/RB)

  4. Definitely not on defense. How many on here predicted Syracuse's last drive outcome??

I told my fiancee, "watch, they are going to complete side line passes in our soft coverage and get out of bounds and march all the way down the field".

We have the softest defense.. and his philosophy is he would rather not give up the big play if it means they get a first down. You can't play too conservative on the other opponent's last drive. How many times have we been down in the fourth and have a minute to score? We always end up losing because our opponent's defense is aggressive and forces BJ to panic.

Cosh is the problem, and that is the change that Skip should have made.

  5. Just half the team huh Must be a problem with the other half

Not being racist, but it was mostly the white half.

Oh so you mean a 1/4 of the team

    Haha could be!

I figured they wanted to have a fun night out before leavin for the Ville today. Maybe the other 1/2 went out to the clubs. Who knows, either way they better win tomorrow.
