  1. Congratulations to Mr. Woulard here. You have to be one proud papa today. Asiantii is going to be special.
  2. Scott Kennedy of Fox Sports puts out his final rankings: 1. Shane Morris, Michigan 2. Kevin Olsen, Miami (FL) 3. Asiantii Woulard, South Florida 4. Max Browne, USC 5. Jared Goff, California 6. Brice Ramsey, Georgia 7. Cooper Bateman, Alabama 8. Anthony Jennings, LSU 9. Joshua Dobbs, Arizona State 10. Christian Hackenberg, Penn State 11. DeVante Kincade, Ole Miss 12. Malik Zaire, Notre Dame
  3. Ah I think that was the TD to his left that Scott Kennedy was referring to. Reading McKinney's tweets it seems like touchdowns were being thrown all over the place by the players so it's really hard to read into Asiantii's two touchdowns. But it's good to know he finished his week strong with another strong performance. Now it's just up to the coaches to figure out where to put him.
  4. Asiantii ain't done yet! Pushing for the #1 spot? Erik McKinney â€@EMcKinneyESPN Asiantii Woulard with another TD drive. Able to show off his arm yet again.
  5. The 4th day is supposed to be a real wildcard as well because it features the Red Zone and "Pressure Cooker" drills. For some reason Johnny Stanton in particular was supposed to be challenged a lot in those drills, whereas Greenlee was supposed to excel.
  6. Remember, he was one of the last few chosen, so he starts out with about 20 guys already ahead of him. It's not easy for some of the coaches who are voting to drop guys they originally picked, because that would undermine their original judgment. Yeah but at the same time, Shane Cockerille was Trent Dilfer's 25th rated guy, the guy that normally wouldn't have made the 24 but who got in by executive order from Dilfer...he's in the top 11 now. Maybe he was destined to be in the top 11 because of a storyline thing? I dunno.
  7. 4.6 high consistent low 4.7 told him he should run track doesn't know how to run if he is coached correctly he can get it to high 4.5 low 4.6 by the seasons end his qb coach discouraged his increase in 40 time told him he's a qb he don't need to worry about that. I fiercely disagreed he listened to his coach. Main reason i think is because his coach was afraid they would convert him back to rec on the next level... I think he's pretty safe from being converted to WR especially by South Florida. They will keep him at QB. But I agree with you. If I were a coach I don't know that I could ever see discouraging a kid from sharpening one of the tools in his tool box, and running is clearly one of the tools in Asiantii's tool box.
  8. So today is the last day and tonight's rankings are the final rankings. It's baffling to me that with all the good stuff everyone has said about Asiantii Woulard, literally haven't heard a single (even indirect) bad thing written about him by anyone...that he's not been in the top 11 yet. That strikes me as a loaded deck.
  9. They say Asiantii runs a 4.6 in the 40...is that verified? What's his fastest time? Just curious. It's not that important to me. Whenever I see Asiantii on tape it's always the stroke that gets me. His arm strength is superb but his stroke is just as good. He throws it how you coach it.
  10. I like Alex Collins a little better. Better feet.
  11. Yeah I definitely like Collins over some of the other RBs that have been mentioned. I love Robert Davis but if the Bulls were to lose Davis because they pulled in Collins, not going to cry over it.
  12. That's exactly what I tweeted to all my followers the first time I saw Asiantii's tape. Of course, of the 2800+ followers, probably only 5 are USF fans, so not a lot of appreciation for it, lol.
  13. Wait, apparently the 4.28 wasn't just an Atlanta record...it was an National Underclassmen (NUC) record. The previous record was held by South Carolina WR Demiere Byrd. The four stopwatches that recorded his NUC record 40 yard dash read: 4.30, 4.29, 4.29 and 4.28. In addition to winning the Fastest Man award, he also won the Leadership Award at the SouthEast Ultimate100 held in College Park, Georgia...300 total participants. NUC updated their Florida prospect rankings and put Robert Davis as the #46 prospect in the state...ahead of both Tarean Folston and JoJo Kemp. Robert Davis, RB, Carrollwood Day, FL (2013) Testing: 5-7, 163, 4.29 40 (NUC Record), 31-inch vertical, 14x185-pounds Assets: Davis broke the NUC 40-yard dash record held by South Carolina receiver Damiere Byrd. Four stopwatches tracked his record breaking dash reading 4.30, 4.29, 4.29, and 4.28 as he crossed the finish line. But it's not just his speed that stood out his ability to change directions and catch the ball with his hands are superior to most backs. Davis has everything a college coach could want in an all-purpose back. On top of all the physical skills he possesses Davis is a leader and a high character student-athlete. He walked away from this camp with the Fastest Man Award and Leadership Award. Development: His ideal playing weight at the next level is probably 175-pounds. If he can add this muscle mass onto his already shredded physique it should help with yards after contact. It's hard to believe that his biggest offers at this point in time are Ball State, Bowling Green, FAU, FIU, and MTSU. I usually don't bandy around comparisons to Warrick Dunn but it fits in this case.
  14. Some updates based on things I've found. 1. Memphis, Cincinnati, Michigan and Purdue have some interest in him. Miami has also been keeping tabs on him. 2. He will be at camp with Cincinnati tomorrow. He plans on attending camps with Georgia and Memphis before he wraps up his camp schedule. 3. He attended a Georgia Tech camp where he ran a 4.37, but they couldn't offer him because they already had two tailbacks commit. He thought they were high on him but their hands were tied. 4. "I’ve been to a couple of USF camps this summer. I went to their one-day and the ‘Super Bull’ camps. I felt like I performed extremely well and the coaches told me that they will keep in touch, and that I’m a hometown kid and they would like to see me stay home. I think USF is close to offering me." 5. He has a 3.7 GPA (sounds unweighted) and takes all IP courses. 6. His best 100 meters is a 10.8 and his best 200 meters is a 21.7. 7. He ran a 4.28 at an Atlanta combine, which was a hand-held time but verified on 4 different stopwatches. His second 40 yard dash that day was a 4.35. He had a 31 inch vertical, which includes a standing reach of 7'4" and a jumping reach of 9'11". He did 14 bench reps at 185 lbs. All this was at 5'7" and 163 lbs. 8. In the past he's talked about how special his first offer (FIU) was and how close he is with coach Apollo Wright. He seems open to going away from home for school and he's not really going to be impressed by new locker rooms or fancy gyms. What's important to him is for him to feel like he's walking into a good family. 9. Has offers on the table from Florida International, North Texas, Ball State, Bowling Green, Middle Tennessee State, Holy Cross, Florida Atlantic and Presbyterian. 10. He'll narrow his choices down at the start of the season and then make a commitment over the holidays. Video interview: http://baynews9.com/...ord, recruiting
  15. Could be difficult for USF to compete with Alabama, even with his own father on staff at USF. Nick Saban knows how to pump out DBs. That's a specialty of his.
  16. Looking through Luginbill's timeline, he said it was the best Elite 11 first day he's seen since the 2006 Elite 11 which featured Matt Stafford, Jake Locker, Tim Tebow, etc. He said the first day and week is "JR HS" stuff, they'll proceed to HS, Undergrad and Grad, "and we will see where these guys r at". Also said, "I spoke of aptitiude in my video hit this week and it looks like in the early going this is a bright group on theory of the game." Overall it sounds like he liked (IN ORDER) Kevin Olsen the best, followed by Danny Etling and then Shane Cockerille. He praised most everyone. He compared Asiantii Woulard and Troy Williams as like twins, with Anthony Jennings similar to the two but not quite as accurate or smooth. DAY ONE INDIVIDUAL QB NOTES 1. Brice Ramsey: "keeps getting better every time I see him" 2. Joshua Dobbs: "once (he) commits to one sport, he could be really good"; "Josh Dobbs had a very good day. Happy for him. Came out of nowhere. We wrote him up in March and he had 2 offers." 3. Troy Williams: "Troy Williams and Asiantii Woulard are extremely similar in skill set. Look like twins."; (reply about Anthony Jennings) "Similar to Troy Williams, Woulard. (Jennings) not quite as smooth or accurate IMO."; (reply) "Smooth. He & Woulard look like twins. Could wear a uniform w/ same number & u wouldn't b able 2 tell them apart. Great stroke." 4. Max Browne: "Max Browne and Luke Del Rio have the same high over accentuated release. Slight hitch too."; (reply) "Good. Has technical quirks that need to be ironed out. Can be long in his delivery. Is smart & shows aptitude for the position."; (reply) "Browne has some technical quirks to work thru, but he just gets it." 5. Tyrone Swoopes: "When Tyrone Swoopes just relaxes he has a chance to be very good. Will watch closely this week."; "Swoopes deserves some love. Knows he did not perform last week. Owned up 2 it. Came out today more relaxed. Fresh start. ACCURACY is the key" 6. Kevin Olsen: "Kevin Olsen may not have a cannon, but he's got the goods."; (reply on Olsen's strengths) "rhythm timing accuracy"; (reply on who Olsen reminds of) "I am not saying he is this guy, but he reminds me of a slightly stronger armed, right handed Kellen Moore. Time will tell."; (reply on size) "Good height, lanky, needs weightroom."; (on arm strength & whether he's a Jacory Harris) "No, it is not loose and whip-like. And no, you do not have a JH on your hands."; (reply about top 3 of the day) "Off of one, two hour session? Danny Etling, Shane Cockerille, Kevin Olsen"; (another question on top 3) "Off one workout tough to say, but Olsen and Etling sure impressed."; (reply) "Olsen has big upside. Late bloomer which is good thing." 7. Danny Etling: "Danny Etling is really stroking the football it's too bad his offense doesn't give him more opportunities."; "Etling has refined his throwing motion...more compact, concise and smooth. Great drill guy."; (reply about top 3 of the day) "Off of one, two hour session? Danny Etling, Shane Cockerille, Kevin Olsen"; (another question on top 3) "Off one workout tough to say, but Olsen and Etling sure impressed." 8. Shane Morris: (reply to a question about changeups) "Very good means he's not trying to throw hundred miles an hour all the time."; (reply) "Feet and drop consistency are top notch, arm is elite. Continuing 2 develop into a passer, not just a thrower."; (on it sounding like he liked Shane Morris today) "I really did. He is starting to really understand that there is more to QB play than throwing the fastball." 9. Cooper Bateman: (reply) "Sharp, but where he really shines is in team oriented events he will be at his best in seven on seven portion." 10. Malik Zaire: (reply) "Sharp. With him it is all about his feet keeping up with his eyes. Is like a left handed JT Barrett. Very similar." 11. JT Barrett: (reply on question about Malik Zaire) "(Malik Zaire) like a left handed JT Barrett. Very similar."; (reply) "Actually I believe he is a passer first, runner second. Just lacks great size. Possesses man, many other fine traits. Release!!"; (reply) "Very quick and consistent in his methods. Smooth stroke. Nice RPM's. Marginal measurables. Smart and heady. Wish he were taller." 12. Cody Thomas: (reply) "Raw, but talented. Better ath than he gets credit for too." 13. Asiantii Woulard: "Troy Williams and Asiantii Woulard are extremely similar in skill set. Look like twins."; "Just as I thought, Asiantii Woulard has a huge ceiling for development. Great delivery. Folks are missing on him."; (reply about Anthony Jennings) "Similar to Troy Williams, Woulard. (Jennings) not quite as smooth or accurate IMO." 14. Anthony Jennings: (reply) "Good. Similar to Troy Williams, Woulard. Not quite as smooth or accurate IMO." 15. Johnny Stanton: (reply) "Rugged. He and Cockerille are like twins. Stanton a little more mechanical." 16. Shane Cockerille: (reply about Johnny Stanton) "(Stanton) and Cockerille are like twins. Stanton a little more mechanical."; (reply about top 3 of the day) "Off of one, two hour session? Danny Etling, Shane Cockerille, Kevin Olsen" 17. Devante Kincade: "If Devante Kincade were taller he would be a national recruit. Not to mention he was very sharp today on the theory of the game."; (reply) "Ability level says yes, but scheme will have to be tweaked to accentuate strength, mask weaknesses." 18. Jared Goff: "Jared Goff & Davis Webb look like camp counselor Mike Glennon when he came out of HS- rail thin, lanky, but talented." 19. Davis Webb: "Jared Goff & Davis Webb look like camp counselor Mike Glennon when he came out of HS- rail thin, lanky, but talented." (reply) "Sharp in first outing."; "Davis Webb wins red jersey for best in classroom for 1st day production on theory of game." 20. Christian Hackenberg: "Pure size/arm/release combo--Christian Hackenberg possesses some very impressive traits."
  17. Davis is one of those guys I wouldn't care too much about the recruiting list of offers. I'd just be out to get him. His speed is not just on a track, it was extremely evident on the field. It's not often you get a guy that has tailback instincts and running style yet the kind of speed that obliterates good angles on the football. But as always, we'll see.
  18. I can't help it. I watch this guy and all I can think is if you're going after this smaller back why don't you go after the Carrolwood Day smaller back instead? At least that dude has incredible speed, more than Coppet, IMO.
  19. I'd feel...less good...about winning a recruiting battle against Boston College for a tailback, as opposed to winning a battle against Boston College for a linebacker. Now, if we win a battle with Boston College over an offensive lineman, that'll be pretty cool.
  20. I am fairly certain the NFL has at least considered "special" supplemental drafts for players in the past that missed the official one. That's never happened, to my knowledge. He's stuck transferring or just sitting out the year. There will be no Supplemental-to-the-Supplemental Draft.
  21. It would be extremely shocking if USF weren't in his top five. At this point I think USF is more like in his top two.
  22. I wouldn't be so sure about the 240 lbs. Just my gut here but I think he's going to want to stay light and maneuverable. By the end of his stay at USF he may be around there...possibly.
  23. ESPN has him as a 3 Star and a numerical rating of 73 out of 100. They have him ranked as the 89th best OLB in the Country Rivals has him as a 2 star NR Scout has him as a 2 star NR 247 has him NR Which is exactly why star rankings mean absolutely nothing. In TB area he was rated no 3. LB/DE behind Jordan Sherit and Mike Love. Awesome company from ranking lists of a site(BCP) who has actually watched him play. We are also in good shape with Love, which would mean we would keep 2 of the 3 best LB prospects in the Bay area. It's funny, when we recruit at home, the recruits don't have enough stars, when we recruit elsewhere it's "why can't we build a fence around the bay area". Recruiting chatter get's absurd at times.Glad he flew under the radar, made his choice a lot easier. And again I go back to the fact that Boston College was onto him pretty hard. I tend to doubt Boston College with the linebacker history they have tends to come all the way to Tampa, Florida in order to recruit a linebacker that deserves his two-star rating. If they want a true two-star guy they can stay in the Northeast. What they wanted was a 6'3" and 210 lbs guy that runs a 4.53 and went all Charles Jefferson vs. Lincoln on Miramar during the state championship game.
