UCF landed Auburn running back transfer Mark-Antony Richards on Tuesday evening, he told 247Sports. Richards will rejoin his former Tigers head coach Gus Malzahn...

Richards, a former top 100 recruit and a redshirt freshman, is a huge transfer splash for the Knights early in Malzahn's tenure. The former Wellington High School (West Palm Beach, Fla.) star is returning to his home state to play for the Knights. Richards ranked as the No. 90 overall prospect and No. 4 athlete in the 2019 class, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. He was a highlight member of the Tigers' class that cycle and drew a ton of buzz in offseason workouts that year.

My thoughts, UCF is up, but has not dominated. Smells like a late game let down by UCF. They have yet to get the best 2 scorers involved. Maybe that is due to USF D, not sure, but it just drives me crazy.

Lol no way in hell USF is ever going to be recognized in every day conversation outside of Tampa for its "academic status." I'm sorry, I'm even an education graduate but its the reality. No one will look at your resume and say, "holy crap you went to USF?? Thats such an amazing academic school!" But they might say, "oh you went to that school that had those couple of undefeated seasons and claims a national title?" 

I'm sorry but its the truth. Even if we pass FSU in academic standards no one will care, FSU is always going to be more "recognizable" than USF in every sense. When we were #2 we were the talk of the nation and no one cares now.

USF winning a conference title in football would give me more pure joy and happiness (tell me I'm wrong) than any "pre-eminent status" stuff. Sounds ignorant but its the truth.

 

To play Devils advocate, we just hired a USF accounting degreed woman, I congratulated her on a GREAT. USF does have some stand out degrees, and people take note.

Will they keep moving the pre-eminent goal posts? I know little about it but I have read they the Florida  University Blue bloods will keep moving the goals to keep the status a VERY small club.

Yes, the brain says yes, the heart says what in the heck are you doing. We have helped 5 rescues go to the heaven in less that 5 years. Love greyhounds. Just have never had one cross our paths. Good on you sir. Well done. Happy stinking New Year.

I represent that remark George! Tough week for us, UCF lost  an AD, a football HC, and above all else, my wife and I lost our first ever rescue, Jack. 14 years here, we were his 5th home in less than 12 months,he was a holy mess, but love and attention, turned that boy around. We had to help him pass on Thursday, my life has been a **** mess since then. On we go.3 others to love and care for, 2 of the  deaf!  Best of luck to every USF and UCF fan. Hug your puppies everyone.
