    OK, in an effort to regain my stature, I think all of the USF female cheerleaders are ......really ugly. There.....that should ramp up thre anger.

    Have a safe New Year everyone. Off to Memphis of hopes that half of the UGA defense gets  a RAGING case of the flu ( oh...Green the WR as well) the  morning of the Liberty Bowl....and that those huge D line guys do not break Jeff Godfrey in half.

    And it still in no way compares to UCF's futility. Things USF can claim that UCF cannot:

    - USF has beaten BCS conference teams with winning records, including out of conference

    - USF has beaten ranked BCS conference teams, including out of conference

    - USF took fewer than 34 tries or whatever it was for UCF to beat a BCS conference team

    I'm sure I could think of more along those same lines if I were so inclined, but I think the point is clear. UCF winning conference USA three times now says FAR more about the poor quality of Conference USA than it does the UCF football team. They should be excited and all that about winning their conference, if USF was still in that minor league I'd be thrilled with a conference title too. But UCF's football team is not any good, and never has been. Even when they won that conference back in 2007, they still lost 64-12 to a team finished fourth in the Big East.

    You are right, we totally &*(), but we are gaining. Oh, see last B ball score and on the recruiting front, we just had two potential Bulls sign ( commit)...had offers from USF. don't look back...we are gaining! If we get a B East offer, it will get VERY exciting. Have a good Bowl. I hope we can play again soon....in football. Merry Christmas.

    Besides, UCF's football team is not "performing." Not in the same way their basketball team is. Their basketball team deserves this ranking and is probably the best team in the state. Their football team got ranked by beating a bunch of terrible teams in an embarrassingly horrible conference.

    Horrible conference....Non AQ conference vs. AQ conference.......pot meet kettle. Keep pickin on little ole UCF and C-USA. Love it.

    Man Dude, why are you so worried about UCF's attendance?

    The the band section commenter...as for the band being the complete student section, come on. Are you serious?  Pick on something you know about...and that is in the relm of reality.

    You realize the text in my post was the article written by one of the writers that covers you guys right? I didn't take the time to write that...

    And I think the band thing was directed towards me as well. I said that UCF's band is in the middle of your student section...somehow you took that as an insult, while all I was doing was commenting on the fact that, well, your band is in the middle of your student section, with no underlying meaning behind it. I've been to plenty of UCF games, in the citrus bowl and at BHNS, and I like how you guys have it in the middle of the section now a days.

    I'm not hating on UCF's attendance that much, but to be honest I was a bit disappointed you guys didn't sell out.

    Well, that author is just selling web hits..and yes, I too was bummed we did  not sell out, but so be it. The band thing was not directed at you....so sorry.

    Be well, good luck in your Bowl. I watched the UCON game last night..wish Mo had had  achance to score the winning touchdown,...and was sort of shocked by the multiple throws. Mo is  agreat person...and player. I have been watching him play for 10 years. Good luck in your Bowl..sorry if I was mis directed.

    They didn't fill the stadium.

    That's what you need to know first.

    They didn't fill the stadium.

    After a week of speculation, anticipation and, frankly, a bit of desperation, UCF couldn't fill its home stadium for its football team's title game.

    They gave away tickets to students for Saturday's Conference USA Championship Game, a game the Knights won by beating SMU, 17-7. Repeat. They gave away tickets. Free. No cost. No charge. Just come. Please. Pretty please. With a chance to witness history. Not that UCF has that many students. Only, oh . . . 57,000! Second most of any university in the country. Not to mention the more than 100,000 alumni who live within a few hours drive of the university.

    And yet they couldn't fill Bright House Networks Stadium, which seats 45,000. By the time thousands of late-comers trickled in -- and how do you arrive late for a championship game? -- they announced the crowd at 41,045. Which, trust me, is a generous, if not a disingenuous, figure.

    Whatever.

    Point is, they didn't fill the stadium.

    And this is a program that wants to be big time.

    Or, at least, Big East.

    At the noon kickoff, the stadium was a bit more than half-full. Or maybe it was a bit less than half-empty, depending on your point of view. I prefer the former, because I'm optimistic about UCF. This is a football program and an athletic department on the rise.

    But, really, how do you not fill your own stadium for a conference championship game?

    You're a ranked team, for the first time in school history. You had a chance to win your 10th game, for only the second time in the school's Division 1-A history. It was a gorgeous day, too, one seemingly cut straight from a postcard of what a college football Saturday should be all about.

    And you know what else it should be about?

    Filling your stadium.

    I got a text message early in the first quarter from a UCF alumnus, a friend, who was sitting in the stands.

    "This attendance is stupid and embarrassing," he said. "Truly a shame."

    Man Dude, why are you so worried about UCF's attendance? I was there...along with another 41K fans. Yep we always come in late which I hate, but you know, the goal was to WIN! And, we did that, and over 41K cheered. Several times, the noise was so loud the other QB had to go to each lineman to verify the call..and that is why we want  a noisy involved crowd.

    The fans will catch on...maybe. But 41K did, and enjoyed the nice win.

    Attendance comments on anyones part are just dumb.

    Can someone please show me some stats on UCF accomplishments that have come close, because they seem to think they are on par with what we have done because they one a USA Conference Championship.

    Well, those are impressive....not sure about the last one but I won't quibble.

    But to be fair, what is the record pre BE..(and I think you have some nice wins)...but to compare BCS conference status wins to our non BCS wins is really intellectually unfair. Just my opinion...though....for which I was banned this week from another board...which I now proudly wear as a badge of honor!

    Good Luck against UCONN. I think they will be tougher than the "u".

    Gaitorbait.net. A prolific poster posted a request for a TV site to watch the UF/UCF B Ball game. I answered with the NCAA ( legal)  free TV stream. I was immmediately banned. Seeveral other people posted sites..all continue to post there. I e mailed the Admin, no response.

    er ... OK .... Not sure why you brought that up in the midst of that paragraph, though ... Thought you were banned for something to do with UCF/USF.  :-\

    Oh, sloppy writing on my part. I was referencing in my run on sentence, that my opinion cost me...I was not rude....but opinions are not welcomed there...unless you fall all over Urban and his team. Unless.....you are an insider.

    No, I had posted there not many times...but fairly often. My opinion was not in the link, but in my content. They are having a very tough week. Probably a little sensitive!

    all the expansion rumors have actually taken my focus away from this next game. You know most USF fans absolutely hate UCF when they want IAA Nova over UCF. If the roles were reversed there is no way I'd want another IAA project from Philly without a stadium in my conference but just shows you the mindset of the masses here.  And about the ranking, hey I'm happy to just be close or in it...it's good for the program but who knows how UCF matches up w/ any other state team...when you don't play, you don't know

    I will want UCF once they fire all the Athletic department heads, and your coach.  You have lost to two BCS teams this year.  Your record versus us stinks. 

    Time to grow up and clean house.

    What, and give you a better M soccer and M B ball coach?  :)

    No team fielded from this state would defeat my team this year.  Just my view.

    Chad, God love you but....several teams would give us MORE than a run for our money. Let's see how we do in the finish...before we raise a State trophy...just sayin.

    are you really a UCF fan? I don't think I've yet to see you compliment UCF in any of your posts...not saying to be a huge homer for your team but just seems odd.....

    I absolutely am. I am just waiting to see how they preform week in and week out... before I crown them State Champs. I have watched every game for the last 4 years...been at every home game...and yes, they are special this year, but to say that they could beat UF or FSU this year is just to "fanlike"....and not supported by the current facts. Beat a BCS (ranked) team in a Bowl ( and I hope that happens), and if they end up the top ranked Fla. team, I'll eat my UCF hat.

    Go Knights on Saturday...I'll be waliking in at 11:00 to honor the eniors.

    As a ddeicated Knights fan, it means ZERO,. Just like our compiled  D stats...our strenght of schedule is weaker than most we are compared to. Now, rank us against other non BCS teams, that would be fair.....sort of.

    Wins are the measure against tough opponents. We are better...but we have yet to beat a BCS team and win a Bowl. When we do that we will be legit in my mind. This is nice to read, but of Zero value. G luck next week.

    I think the hope is that we can get to a Bowl game.....and play and win against a BCS opponent. We shall see...it has been illusive.

    I don't even think O'Leary can screw up you getting to a bowl this year ...

    Are you that sure? To be honest, he finally has more than one horse...as he should with a lot of seniors, but we are one key  injury away from .....drowning.  We are pretty thin at a couple key positions. We shall see....congrats on dumping the Rutgers Monkey
