I hate bye weeks, so boring. Although we have a number of banged up players that will benefit from the extra time to recoup.

Nice achievement to be honored. Wish him continued success toward winning The Campbell Trophy

Good catch, thank you.

Apparently ECU thinks they only need two offensive linemen to stop him.

Thankfully aside from Horne, I think we should recover just about everyone in time for the next game. We definitely need them.
Will Vivonetto recover from his mystery illness?

Lack of kicking game is going to hurt us...we have gotten lucky so far without a kicking game.

I would change nothing. My biggest concern was defense and they proved they can win the game 4 us. 3 out of our last 4 opponents were held under 20 pts. Im not worried about the offense, they just need to find their rythm. They score with ease when they play 2 their potential. The kicking game will get better once Vivonetto comes back.
When will this happen...inquiring minds want to know.

Still too early to tell. The meat of our schedule is ahead of us. We play to our competition. If we continue with the inconsistency I don’t see us winning 4 conference games. I am optimistic that we can improve.

Props to Schneider...huge improvement. He was punting injured. I hope he is healed after the off week. Still nothing on Vivonetto?
-
Horne was a big loss. CCS seemed to down play Wilcox’s injury. I hope it is minor and he will be ready to play after the off week. He seemed optimistic that our injured RBs will be back to play after off week. Very little on kicking game addressed. I guess there is no near term fix which is a concern. I would like nothing more than for us to play a complete game. These nail bitter games are growing long in the tooth.

I agree with Bullrush with the 8 - 4 record. It is inevitable we lose games without a kicking game and inability to stop the run defense. I think we go 7-0 into the Houston game.

Honestly most of our fans probably don't know where ECU is located. Some may even think East Carolina is a state. Not that anyone would ever want to visit....
Come on....give us some credit we are preeminent status now

Anyone have access to the ECU boards? Curious what their fans are saying about this game.

Great job!

That would be good news. Keep working at it Nigel.

As much as I would enjoy seeing UCF lose to FAU, it is better for us that UCF wins. We need UCF to continue to win so that when we beat them in our final conference game of the year it helps us with the polls. This of course assumes that we continue to win our games for any chance of a big time bowl matchup.

Are they our most defeated opponent?
Not certain, but I believe they are up there. I believe we are 8 - 2 against Syracuse.

Would love another shot at UF.

St. Felix is the real deal and stands out the most to me as our biggest impact freshman.

Just an honest question. Would knowing why actually change anything? I know you're all curious, but the, " why" really doesn't matter unless you have some way to change the current situation with that information.
I think the "why" will give us more insight on how long we have to suffer without a kicker.
What's the W-L record at the end of the season?

Not sure I agree with this, but with no kicking game and no run defense I don't see us taking the Houston, Temple, UCF or Cincinnati games. I don't have a crystal ball, lets hope we are able to fix these things moving forward and have our self proclaimed "National Champion" season.
