That hurts just looking at the photo. I hope he gets better immediately after the USF game.

Thank God for Johnny Ford!

At this point I will be happy to win by any margin...ugh.

Lets hope you are right...would love to see a blow out for us. Our games have been stressful to say the least.

One of the UConn football players, Eli Thomas, sadly had a stroke (not sure if it was during practice or game). Their fans believe this is going to have a galvanizing effect on the team Saturday night playing for Eli Thomas.

Weekly Press Conference Notes:
Ed Daigneault @EdDaigneault 58 seconds ago
UConn about to play another team (USF) that is undefeated at the time of the game. That would make six such foes in seven games.
Jim Fuller @NHRJimFuller 34 seconds ago
#UConn football coach Randy Edsall opens up press conference saying "Just another week playing another undefeated team."
Storrs South @UConn6thBorough
Including this weekend's game with USF, UConn Football opponents have a combined record of 34-9 this season
Gavin Keefe @GavinKeefe 35 seconds ago
Edsall called the bye week beneficial. Gave players a chance to get healthy and coaches a chance to recruit.
Gavin Keefe @GavinKeefe 34 seconds ago
Edsall on evaluating his team during bye week: "You take a look at yourself and evalute to see what you can do to get better. Our options are limited in terms of personnel and what we can do."
Ed Daigneault @EdDaigneault
Edsall says he's not going to panic, that he and the staff believe in what they're doing.
Neill Ostrout @NeillOstrout 17 seconds ago
UConn coach Randy Edsall: “I’m not going to panic or anything like that. ... We didn't re-invent the wheel (during off week).”
Neill Ostrout @NeillOstrout 6 seconds ago
DT Kevin Murphy (knee) probably out this week.
Ed Daigneault 1 minute ago
Edsall says guys who didn't play in the first six weeks will play in the second half so the staff can see what those players might be able to bring to the table. -
Either way this win will be minimized. If we win by a large spread, as predicted, then oh it was against UConn (one of the worst FBS teams this year). If we win in a close game, we will be the laughing stock of ESPN (they have to mention us because we are ranked in the top 25). Playing such a weak opponent does nothing good for us. We have to play UConn because they are a conference foe, but the argument goes the same for Elon & UMass. God forbid we lose.

I think UConn is going to concentrate on stopping the run. Having said that Cronk is going to have another 100+ rushing yard game. I think our wide receivers will have the opportunity to have a good night. I also think BB is going to be back in form and be much more accurate. Go Bulls!

UCONN is averaging 13 points per game against FBS opponents so far this year. If they get somewhere around that, we will have to put up 45+. They have the worst defense in college football history. They are giving up 55ppg. A thirty point spread might actually be conservative for the book makers based on the data they have.
The FBS teams they played and lost to are good offensive scoring teams...Memphis, Cincy, Syracuse (not so much) & BSU (#20).

No one thought Pitt/PSU would be so close.
its a conference game.

My favorite ballot is the guy from Riverside, CA who placed us at 14th. He has UCF at 13th and Cincy at 16th. He also placed NCSU at 7th.

I like that guy

LaPointe has been impressive. I believe he is a red shirt freshman. Also not sure he is a “leader”on defense, but he is leading by example.

Oh brother.

I too believe he is being underutilized.
