  1. Great pickup UCF. Damarcus Smith is a good dual threat guy. If he turns out to better than Godfrey, I wonder if O'Leary gives him the starting role. Doesn't Smith have better natural attributes than Godfrey (size, height, speed..etc)?
  2. UCF already has Godfrey, who has proven himself at the collegiate level. Bridgewater has not yet, Smith would probably have a better chance to start at Louisville this year. Godfrey already has the eligibility clock down to 3 so that might be a factor. But w/ no coach contact the last few days, the whole city of Louisville is in his ear so I'm not confident he switches to UCF, probably sticks to Louisville I think you mean Bridgewater has a better chance of starting at Lou this year, that's why Smith is giving you guys a look. Do you really think Smith would even be sniffing UCF if Lou never signed Bridgewater? Come on...
  3. because this thread keeps on getting bumped...it's impossible not to look.
  4. Sounds like he is gone since his parents are partial towards USF. Ehhh, I know I should care, but I don't.
  5. Vandy has great academics and other than that, the real thing that may make him sign there is the chance to play QB, instead of playing safety at USF. I don't know what the fuss is about this kid anyways. I could care less either way. We're stacked at the safety position.
  6. If Holtz finds out, comments like those could get Gradys scollie pulled Please, nobody's get a scholarship pulled over a comment on twitter. This whole thing is RIDICULOUS!!!!! Of course it's a ridiculous comment and situation. Most of the people on this board see it this way, but not everyone in the twitter world is like that. All I'm saying is these athletes need to be careful when it comes to what they post and submit, even if they are just screwing around with friends. Not everyone can take a joke. We're nobodies...they on the other hand have followers watching their every post.
  7. Grady was probably screwing around. Kids say stupid **** all the time. He just shouldn't have said it on the internet, especially a heavy traffic place like twitter because a lot of people will read it and take it the wrong way. That QB is being recruited by Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles and the Stanford Cardinals so he has talent.
  8. Great news and thanks for the update. Highest recruit on our radar according to ESPN. Hopefully Holtz can land this WR, since he would be a top 5 overall recruit this year.
  9. Holtz won't be able to sign this kid. He needs to concentrate on players like Devin Clarke, Andre Davis, Bryan Holmes and Rashawn Scott. We actually have a shot at those guys.
  10. Wait and watch alright....in Bill I trust then. :eyecrazy :m16
  11. I hate to say this, but it's either Miami or Lou., we're out of the mix.
  12. ****, that doesn't sound good. Hopefully he makes his decision this upcoming week so this never ending story will be over. Thanks for the update.
  13. I disagree, I don't think fans care about local kids that much if there is an athlete out of state that is better. All fans care about is winning regardless of where the athlete is from. Most Louisville students probably don't even know Smith is from Kentucky.
  14. Teddy would beat out DaMarcus Smith, so I'm sure he's not to worried about who's going to be the starter. He's a more complete all-around QB and he has much more size.
  15. Why anyone would want to go to Louisville, KY over Tampa, FL is beyond me. But I've never been to Louisville, and grew up near Tampa so I'm biased ... but still. Go to their athletics website and look at their facilities and on campus stadium. Certainly something for USF to strive for. Exactly, that's probably why and they have a history. Let's not forget a lot of the FL kids like Strong too. I'm sure he is a big reason why. Let's hope he goes to Miami if he doesn't come here. I'd hate to play this kid every year for the next 4 years in conference.
  16. He specifically said he didn't want to run as much as last year, he wanted to throw more. Who knows how many games he wasn't 100% for because of nagging injuries. He lost a lot of weapons that he had last year, WR's. It's a really tired debate. We'll see what happens with Bridgewater.
  17. I can't believe it sounds like you're arguing against having Bridgewater in this recruiting class. You've never seen him play, so you don't know if he is a good passer or not (sounds like he's better than average). Across the board, it seems as though he is a much better (higher) recruit than BJ, Carnes or Grothe ever were. Yes, Carnes and BJ were 4-star recruits on Rivals, but they both had average rankings at best on Scout and ESPN. Bridgewater is ranked 4 and 5 stars on every recruiting webpage. This guy is special, if he wasn't, Holtz wouldn't have invited him on campus for an OV. Holtz knows what's up.
  18. Even if he wasn't unsure about Weatherford, Holtz should still be after every 4 and 5 star recruit possible no matter the position they play.
  19. There's a big difference between being negative and being realistic. The only thing I was pointing out is it seemed like he wanted to go to an elite school from the get go and even though we may have made his final 14 somewhere, we weren't in his top 5 or 6 in the end. Hell, hopefully I'm wrong.
  20. Highly doubtful, he never considered us to begin with, so why would that change. Even if he does decide to de-commit, he'll go to a school he considered in the beginning, like Florida State Seminoles, Miami (FL) Hurricanes, LSU Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes, Tennessee Volunteers.
  21. It's a great campus with a lot of history. I've been there twice and had a great time. I wouldn't take what Billreef says to heart, he's a troll. Back on topic now.
  22. Well, those are impressive....not sure about the last one but I won't quibble. But to be fair, what is the record pre BE..(and I think you have some nice wins)...but to compare BCS conference status wins to our non BCS wins is really intellectually unfair. Just my opinion...though....for which I was banned this week from another board...which I now proudly wear as a badge of honor! Good Luck against UCONN. I think they will be tougher than the "u". You make sense and I actually agree with you. What's wrong with me today? I know we've won some games against ranked teams pre-BE, but I'm too lazy to look it up.
  23. They just had a turnaround season and their coach is above average. It seems a lot of the FL guys like Strong, so I can imagine it, even though I'd hate to see it. Louisville is going to be dirty in a couple of years again.
  24. Making Teddy and Eli a Bull this year would be a recruiting success in my opinion.
  25. Yes, the black jerseys look terrible. Didn't Jeffrey Godfrey originally commit to USF, then switch over to UCF last minute?
