The only thing I see is 0 espn top 300 commits.

Charlie was supposed to elevate us, right?

Taggart was a great recruiter for us. I didn't really hear anything about how coach Strong be be that much better than Taggart. I expected a team ranking from 40-50, just like where we were with Taggart.

Of course we do.  We offer scholarships to 3, 4 & 5 star recruits in our backyard, tri-county area as an example, as does FSU.  It is a bigger concern, because of CWT's roots & relationships in this area.

I could be wrong, but I don't think any of our 23 verbal commits have an FSU offer. Again, we very rarely beat FSU out in recruiting battles and the guys we do get with FSU offers, FSU has cooled off on recruiting them. Frost is the guy we need to be concerned about, not Taggart. FSU will continue to land top 5-10 recruiting classes with or without Taggart, nothing changes there. But, we'll get in some actual recruiting battles with Frost.

Depends on how they do in their bowl game (if without Frost coaching), who they get as their coach and whether we win our bowl game and keep CCS.

The voters have a lot of respect for CCS and will probably believe he will be able to continue to improve our defense next year. We will likely be even more of a running team, with Cronkite, so whatever QB we have won't have to do it by himself to win our conference.

I know that seems far fetched now, but if we win our bowl game and both Memphis and UCF lose, we might be ranked in the preseason which would make us one of the favorites, since we will get UCF at home.

Frost is supposedly coaching their bowl game.

    Me too.

Without Frost, USF may be the favorite to win the conference AGAIN.

Based on what though? We lose our best QB ever and UCF returns Milton for 2 more years. As long as they have Milton, they are the favorites in the East for the next 2 years. Our QB's haven't played any meaningful snaps. The media would be dopes to put us as the favorites next year.

Kind of my thoughts. Either we are freeing up some space by letting some of these earlier guys know they may want to look elsewhere(Not sure that's the case with Peterson) or the recruits firmly believe that Strong is gone. Either way with the class as big as it already is an extra scholly for some of the bigger names out there isn't a bad thing. WIsh him well.

Are there really P5 schools that are dumb/crazy enough to want Strong as HC?

Means nothing. We beat ucf and Memphis it’s ours.

Boise St is a bigger brand than USF. If we both win out, I could see the committee put an 11-2 Boise team ahead of us. Our schedule is horrible and we lost to the one team with a pulse so far. The committee has shown they don't care about the other polls, they do things differently.

USF: Humbled by 1 loss already, hungry from being knocked out of top 25, underdogs again, bye week coming up, offense showing positive signs at right time of year, 2 extra days rest before Black Friday

C.: Defense is looking worse every week, head coach distractions, CFP ranking distractions, playing way over their heads, offense not tested yet, USF game will be 10th straight week without bye, likely overconfident, USF game will be on short week

Not to mention the fact that we ALWAYS bring it against them even when we've had our most awful teams.  We're winning on Black Friday.

I hope so. I think Memphis is playing the best football right now. That could easily change though.
