Not a bad option to have...hope Brown beats him out though.

Brown should start and play the last four games unless he gets hurt. Marsh played a decent game on Saturday but he is not the answer. You have four meaningless games to get Brown some free experience, which could be huge going forward into the spring and next season.
-
Come on now...our HC wins 3.85% of his FBS games...should we expect more than that?

Would be an epic fail if he plays part time in 5 games instead of the 4 that would keep his redshirt.
What's the difference? If he is good, do you really think he will be here for 4 years, especially if Scott gets the boot sooner rather than later?

Exactly. Brown can be the present and the future here. Marsh is not the player we need at the qb position.

Not attacking you, but me personally, I would not enjoy cutting someone a severance check while looking for another coach. That has been our mo now since getting rid of Leavitt, and it has not worked out for us at all.
We fire Scott, players transfer out, and we start from square 1 with new coaches/coordinators/system/players.
Who is saying we are getting 9 more years of Scott?
Also, who could we snag for a low price that would get us out of these dregs? You know, since we would be paying two coaches at that point.
Your point is valid for programs that don't care about winning, which we would certainly be considered at this point. There is no indication that Scott can REALLY turn it around. We just built a $30+ million IPF and are planning a $200+ million ocs and you are worried about paying Scott's buyout? You can't build those things while also acting poor and accept losing as the standard.

Whatever gets Scott fired is the best case scenario at this point. The team is somewhat improved but I would rather see 1-11 and Scott fired versus 3-9 and more years of Scott. Skip and Strong recruited better than Scott and they were both on vacation the entire time they were here.

Wtf are you talking about.....think better jfc
USF will have to pay out the ass for any warm body to come here, let alone a half way decent coach. You can say "think better" all you want but we all know this is USF we are talking about. Michael Kelly might hire himself as head coach and give himself a lifetime contract.

Honestly, would anyone really care if he didn't?
You're right, I'm surprised anyone even covers the team at this point.

IMO you really only have two options, Taggart or Larry Scott...if you can get Willie back, you can fix it quicker but Scott may be the better long term solution.

What can he even say at this point? It's almost cruel he has to do press conferences
I agree with this, he should just stop doing any kind of press stuff at this point.

USF won't fire him, but how long can you employ the worst head coach in college football history?

He can go winless rest of the year (likely if Gerry is out) and he will be back. Its how USF operates.
If they brought back a coach with an FBS record of 1-29 that would be something.

The Byrum Brown Era needs to start sooner rather than later.

With the way the defense is playing, we would have a real good shot to win with Gerry out there...pretty ridiculous

You wanted Marsh, right?
Who did?...Marsh is garbage

I hope they have someone other than Marsh ready to play.

Hill actually made a good play...it might be our day.

You would expect. I wonder how many of these guys beat their wives when things get rough.
They can be as critical as they want to be, hell, the Fire Jeff Scott thread was featured for a couple weeks. There is no opposition to the discussion.
What I am opposed to is the lying in order to malign someone. If such an easy target... why would those so upset have to resort to lying? Or namecalling? Or making fun of the way someone looks or speaks, or alleged nepotism (when they don't know the defintion of nepotism), all sorts of nasty assertions. That's what is disconcerting. Either so angry or so hateful, they've disgraced themselves in the process, but can't stop.
Yeah, there is no point in anyone being that angry about CJS. The guy that hired CJS is still in charge, that is more worrisome than watching bad football this season.

LOL. I'm good. I just don't like providing a platform for this.
When your coach has an FBS winning percentage slightly north of 4% things are gonna be rough.

Tulsa and ECU must be completely talentless. They were picked 10 and 11 by a pretty wide margin...

More talent, higher ceiling...he needs to play though. I would rather have a potential 4+ year starter than a 6th year guy who is out of options coming back for what?...6 wins, best case scenario. The schedule will be easier but the talent is still poor at most positions. We need a long term solution, not a stop gap.
