  1. Signee already enrolled: Marques Ford (6-4, 217, DL) from East Bay HS in Riverview, Fla. A transfer from Rutgers University.

Marques could be an option as well. Considered USF out of HS last year. Odd that he transferred to Jones College though instead of USF or another school. He got his transfer release in December. Perhaps he has to get his grades in order this spring. He did not play at Rutgers so he has good eligibility.

  2. I also checked on Kendall Sawyer (https://twitter.com/D1_Warrior2). Thought he had transferred to Arizona Western with Stefon McCray. Well, I see Stefon on the roster, but not Kendall. Wonder what happened there: http://www.awcmatadors.com/football/football-roster. For what it's worth, his twitter handle reads "University of South Florida".

He was on their roster at some point per this tweet:

After Scottsdale 3 and out, good punt return by Kendall Sawyer sets Matadors up with great field position - Scottsdale's 30

  3. " Just one example of hundreds of super fast high school play makers not being recruited is Kavious Price from Manatee High School in Florida. Kavious is a superstar run back specialist and wide receiver with the stats to back it up. He runs a 4.3 40 and is elusive to the extreme, but because he is a smallish 5-7 160 he gets no offers. Kavious is just one example of how coaches with a one way mindset are missing the boat on players that could turn programs around using the triple option"

  4. More on Michael Hampton via Twitter:

The January 29th recruiting weekend will be big for #Pitt - Hamlin, Hudson, Garner, DB Michael Hampton & athlete K'Von Wallace. #412Crew

Michael Hampton, Hillsborough High CB was solid on the edge in 2015. 6 INTs and 25 solo tackles. Big year for the senior DB

Looks like he had offers from IU, Iowa, Pitt, UVA, and USF.

  5. Well.....this thread got out of hand a bit. I hope that Sails comes as I think that he'd be a great fit in our backfield. And I  hope that he doesn't choose Cincy as I'd like for him to have the option to transfer back without the AAC handties, but regardless of where he goes, I wish him all the best.

(Someday I'll get too mature to stalk twitter to find out where a 17 year old is going to attend college, but apparently it's not this year.)

  6. #62 is Edrick Neal

" Edrick Neal is a dominating run blocker possessing great explosion and playing strength. His size and athleticism are what we like to see for the offensive center position. Displays good flexibility in a three point stance for an athlete his size. Edrick has a very good first step and explosion coming off the ball. Edrick knocks defenders off the line of scrimmage resulting in quite a few pancake blocks. Shows the ability to gain leverage down lineman and gets to 2nd level defenders. Edrick is an aggressive tough player who shows the talent to make all the necessary blocks. His finishing attitude and ability displays a bit of a mean streak. Pass protection is good he shows the ability to move his feet. Flashes good short set skill, can shotgun snap and stuff the bull rush, Edrick is a good prospect"
