While I'm not crazy about the hire (would have rather had Herman) this may not be a bad hire. I think he can keep the offense humming (if he can bring in a couple of recievers) and I'm feeling confident BJM will come with him back to USF and fix the defense.
Both are strong recruiters and they have a lot to sell USF on now with the new focus on athletics.

I'm saving a lot of money by not getting season tickets next year.

With that said JP seems pretty good on our chances with Prime. Since it sounds like Vinik is a player I'm sure JP is getting some of his info from him

The stadium just popped on the agenda this week after JP’s Tweet …. ?
He is looking at an old agenda

Indiana would let him leave witout himpaying a buyout. Save them money from firing him next year. If it wasn't for the hope of Prime I would be very happy with Tom. Met him at his apt compex on bayshore when he coached here amazing man

Guys it's so freaking obvious. He is holding up 2 fingers on one hand. Equates to the number 21. He is telling us it's Deion

What I am finding very interesting I am only seeing reporting on Deion from local sports guys. Even the national reporting is coming from locals. I take that as a good sign

Stoops does have some nice Tampa ties. See him at Old Memorial alot. But we can only dream

Trent Dilfer to UAB. Such a keen eye for talent at the QB position. He knew Asanti Woolard was a generational talent
-
Weaver would get manhandled by NFL corners. He is a stick

I'm not questioning anyones sources, but something like this and can't see peoples sources updating them every 5 minutes

Willie Fritz to G Tech

This would make me sad that's a big drawback. I think he might be one of the best we have had and is a freshman.
If we do get Sanders I guarantee his son goes to a big program that needs a QB

I really would like serious thoughts of why are they so bad?
It cant be just talent as there is so many plays were know one is near the ball.
Are they not intelligent players?
Has coaching been that bad?
I'm at a loss

Boyles always gets props on TV but I think he is over rated, I have never seen him get off a block. The only one may be Grier even though he has been MIA

I watch that last play a couple of times now. Chapman did not need to take a dribble. He could have went in for a dunk. Then he didn’t need to even alter his shot and fall backwards. The defender never left his feet. These players are only athletes they have no basketball IQ

I watched like 2 minutes of Gregory's presser. He started out how he told the team the Peay was going to be a very good team this season for various reasons. OK maybe they are and maybe they are not. Wish a reporter would have the balls and ask, "so is they are a very good basketball team, why isn't USF with tons of more resources"

If there is something that inhibits his ability, it has to be considered. And it would have to be real. I wouldn’t say I love the guy but I do love what he can do for USF. I’ve watched him on the podcast and he seems agile and sharp as ever, so the first thing that comes to mind for someone his age - made famous by the highest leader in the land - is age-related cognition. Send a note if you want. I also have ways of finding out about specific issues.
Lies have been told and accepted out of convenience. I’d be wary.
Brad Just sent you the info

I have been a big CJL guy, but i heard something yesterday that makes me question his mental fitness. I believe it is true but can't be sure 100% Makes me very sad as I love Jim. I'm not gonna post it as it is to sensitive and if not true it would be an injustice too Jim. Brad I know you love the guy and I would be willing to let you know and hear your thoughts.

That's all fine and all, but perception matters more than reality when it comes to recruiting. How many players will want to come play for him? How many parents won't even take his phone calls? He has made no attempt at a public apology or damage control - whether he was in the right or not - he simply has too much baggage. The only way USF will ever be a relevant program again is with someone who can outrecruit our level.
I'm a big sportdsfan and honestly I barely knew about the email scandel until this whole rumor thing came up. Most people have no idea what happened and if he uses ex players backing him up it will be no problem
Time to move on te the next big coaching search Mens Basketball
