5) Bulls total offensive yards (closest without going over) 269Late game, nearly a mile high...tough atmosphere for the young club. But hoping for a break out by some key players to keep it close....maybe steal one.

Good teams have bad games. The Bucs lost by 5 touchdowns the same season they won the super bowl
We had some bad bounces but the defense played hard in the first half, probably lost focus when they realized they had no chance of coming back.
I really don’t think the offensive play calling was too bad. It seemed like NC State realized we couldn’t connect on a deep ball to make them pay so they just went all out aggressive and took away everything underneath.
we just have to hope Cade is actually good and can hit the deep pass, and last week it was just nerves. Because if that was actually his accuracy he can’t be our starter anymore
this Gator team seems worse than the 2020 squad, but our D looked small and overmatched via NCSU...it may be worse today. It'll essentially be a home game for UF, sold out, mostly Gator fans, I'm betting.

Sadly, my goal is not to win, but to score...and to see a glimpse of a promising future.

Decided to go to two USF home games instead. My away games this year will be home games
which games are you headed to? I will try to make a few games this year, but likely later in the season.

USF and S.Alabama BOTH belong to G6 conferences. Its not a downgrade either. I do know that the TCU coaches are following him on twitter. I noticed Arizona coaches were following McCloud for the past month as well. I didnt think McCloud would end up at a P5 school and he did. N. Roberts had a waaaay better career at USF. So why rule out a P5 opportunity for him?
fortunately for Roberts, my opinion doesn't rule out P5 for him. I wish all transfer well.

Had to go back and make sure who was being talked about .... and it was Nick Roberts .... and if he does have offers from those 2 schools, that does apparently reinforce GB saying his best shot is not D2. Still remains to be seen, though, if he ends up at one of those places. Also, I think players can transfer at any time of year so his story may be a long way from being over.
Yeah, I was a bit flippant with D2, but I don't believe he'll play for a team in a P5 or AAC team. I don't dislike the kid, I just saw him get burned far too many times in the passing game.

He can go to another AAC team as well. Either way, to call him a D2 player or assume that's his best shot is ludicrous.
Not trying to disrespect the guy, but NSD is over and per his Twitter has offers from Middle TN State and S. Alabama. Not upgrades.

So 3 years of good behavior and not getting in trouble can be erased by 1 emotional outbreak? He was like in our top 3 defensive players on the team and has talent. Buddy will be ok.
respectfully disagree. Fighter, but not even top 3 in the secondary. D2.

Wonder why none of our former players aren't finding schools (besides Sanders). Wonder if they realized there weren't many chairs left when they entered portal. Wonder if anyone is educating them on the fact there are hundreds of guys in portal and very few FBS positions available. Some of these guys will be luck to get FCS or D2 offers. Some may be out of football altogether, because they entered portal. The portal has not been a boon to average or poor athletes, and some of these guys are finding that out.
I get the sense most didn't choose to leave.

I wonder if its talent or cultural fit. Or both.
Yeah, could be he showed some upset at the drop in production, but that's speculation. Before the season, St. Felix Tweeted that he planned for this to be his last season, implying he'd move on to the next level. Not a great season. Horne never seemed to recover from his knee injury. I had real high hopes for him.

It appears he is graduating as a junior?? That shows a lot about him being a serious student. Good for him.
He was here 4 years, which is typical time to graduate (unless he enrolled in the Fall, in which case 3.5 years is excellent). I thought he'd break records when I was at the spring game his freshman year. I think he suffered thru mediocre QB here the post-Flowers. I think he'll do very well somewhere else...hated to see him go, but some Tweets imply CJS is nudging some players into the portal that he doesn't see have a roll in what he's building.

I had high hopes for Felix.

A starting QB at D1 should be able to improvise and bail his butt out if the Oline breaks down. QF, BJ and Grothe were all good but not going to start for say, Clemson-Alabama-etc. But..they all demonstrated the ability to make something happen. They all were pretty intense in their play and were very competitive. I have not seen that in McCloud(not slamming the kid) I just haven't seen him look like a hungry QB. We can all recall seeing any one of the above 3 running for their lives if they had to. Getting that 1st down or had fought td. Weve all seen them pissed on the sidelines. I watch Mc lean away from hits and most of the time looks hurried and flustered. Again, not slamming him but, something just aint there...
good summary. Great kid and good promoter of USF. Just not the QB we need to go bowling.

Tulane's stadium is an excellent high school stadium. One of my favorite road trips, though.

Quinton needs to make decisions that are best for him. How can any of us know what is best for him without being in his shoes?
BTW BJ Daniels was the backup on SEA and was finally given a chance and we see what he was able to do. Trestman never gave Flowers a legit chance even though everyone knew he was the best QB on the team.
I'm late to the debate, so while I can't speak to everyone on the thread, I'll share my POV.
I grew up fairly poor, raised by a single mom. I was embarrassed that my friends saw my reduced lunch card, while they got whatever they wanted & and used cash or a regular lunch card. I didn't own a brand name article of clothes till my first paying job, at 14. I had to work my way thru college.
But that pales by LONG shot to what Flowers went thru and if not for football, who knows where he'd be today?
Again, I won't speak for other posters, but I don't know many people who've lived a more difficult live (at least in our generation).
Different opinions here notwithstanding, I think we all share this in common: we're pulling for Q and are disappointed with his playing time & opportunities with the Vipers...as well as the fact that he's off the team (for whatever reason).
I'll be a fan of his forever and wish him success where ever he goes.

Quitting will not help him catch on somewhere else.
the silly thing is he's one hit away from being the starter. Or, a slump from getting the job. But, who knows what Trestman is telling him?
