Just wanted to see the campus plus planned on visiting Busch Gardens, I fly in gameday morning the 12th and then fly back the 14th late at night.  So my plans is 12th: Bearcats game and nightlife  September 13th: Beach and Lightning game and going out after  September 14th: Busch Gardens and visiting the campus then fly back

Check out the Residence Inn near the airport. It looks like its right at or under your budget. You'll be within walking distance to the stadium and a short Uber ride to SoHo (I wouldn't recommend Ybor as it can get a bit sketchy at night) where all the USF and UT folks will likely be, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. That hotel is also a pretty quick Uber ride to downtown to check out a Bolts game. St. Pete beach dumps on Clearwater, and has way better beach bars. Campus and Busch Gardens are a little bit further of a ride from the airport area, but still not more than 15-20 minutes in traffic.

EDIT: La Teresita right near the stadium is fantastic for Cuban food. Especially after you've been drinking/tailgating all day. Like someone else said, sitting at the bar and having a meal is the best.

    Sweet!!!

Thanks man! If you're on Facebook and interested, he can do just about anything and the prices are very fair. Look up "Tuesday's Creations Custom Wood Work" and send him a DM with photo and details of what you're looking for. He'll put together a mock-up and send it to you for edits/approval. I think I got this one made and shipped in a week.

The thing that bothers me with Fortin is that when we run the read option with him there is no threat of him keeping it so the defense just follows the ball carrier.  I can't remember one time in the first half he held onto the ball himself.  At least there is the threat with McClain. As for passing accuracy I don't have a problem with Fortin.  TMc doesn't seem to have that in game yet. But that one deep ball to Weaver(?) was spot on.

This. Cade refuses to call his own number and run. It didn’t matter if he was sending his RBs into 4-5 white jerseys waiting for them. He would not pull that ball down and go.

Hopefully we get some details on everything very soon. The fund should have been opened years ago. Will Weatherford is going to become one of the heroes of USF Athletics or just another individual with empty words. If he makes this happen, just give him the presidency

I know USF has a large number of alumni (Google shows approx. 290k), but that A LOT of them aren't active or don't donate to the university... I know the percentage of alumni that donate is VERY small.

But if USF announces the fund, the location, fancy pictures of the OCS, construction costs, and other metrics and sent emails/mailers/etc.  with the details and some donation packages (i.e. tiers or monthly donation levels), I'd like to think they'd do a pretty good job of locking in some significant funds.

    We can dream.

  5. UA overpaid for us and many other schools all those years ago when they tried to jump onto the uniform scene. My buddy works at Wilson in Chicago and told me UA is bleeding money which is why they couldn't afford to re-up many of their contracts when they expired. It's well known in his line of business. Hence why we landed with Adidas and received a lesser contract. The fact that we weren't performing well also plays into what Adidas offered.

@John Lewis  I second that... any updates??  We are 2 days away!

Game time is still TBD on ticket...maybe that's the issue?

TBD isn't the issue. I've got tickets for Tulsa that have the game time on them and I still can't add them to my Apple Wallet. It's not my browser because I'm getting different error messages with Chrome and Safari.

Parking passes added with no problem.

  7. I've had Sling for a few years. I typically run Sling Blue, but during the fall when football starts I add Sling Orange and carry it through the season, then just get rid of it after football is over. I may be switching to Hulu Live though because Sling dropped NFL Network.

Thats one thing Tampa has going for it.  The options for the Rays are limited really.  Doesnt mean they dont pack up and leave.  But what city is going to pay for a Billion dollar stadium.  And they actually have real fans here.  What city is better as far as media market, existing fans, etc.  Montreal, Potland , Charlotte - give me a break.

The Tampa community also has a sour taste in its mouth after bankrolling most of Ray Jay for the Glazers. Speaking of transportation to and from stadiums, I found it quite awesome when I was in NY a few years back and went to a Mets game. The subway had a stop right at the stadium.

Its amazing the variety of Sports options that Tampa has, for its size.  I know Tampa is growing and if you take in the entire  metro area outside of Tampa, we are pretty large population wise.  But I'm Tampa through and through of love all our teams.

Still hard to be understand why Baseball isn't working here.  I guess "Location, Location, Location" really does mean a lot.  I hope they can figure it out before its too late.  There is nothing else going on sports wise in the Summer.

I think baseball is failing here has a lot to do with the location. The Rays have one of the highest TV ratings in the MLB in the Tampa Bay area. However, I think that's due to the division the Rays play in. The Red Sox, Yankees, Orioles, and Blue Jays all have such a deep history and they also have another thing in common all being in the Northeast. Take all the snow birds that retire down in the Tampa Bay area and consider the fact that they are only watching to support their original team and/or can't get to the games due to transportation and I'm thinking that's why the TV ratings are so high. I'm born and raised in Tampa and I'm one of the ones that believes if the stadium were across the bridge in actual Tampa that baseball would work here.

If any thing we have simplified it and went from pass heavy to run heavy

Yeah I thought Bell was about passing to set up the run and it looks like we're doing the opposite now. That made me think Strong actually got more involved with the offense. Either way, just keep the ball moving and the points coming.

Hey @usfsig, the auction ends at 7:50 p.m.

Thanks @Brad I actually got a text from the website 15 minutes before it closed. Was driving back from Sarasota. Not one to text and drive so almost missed it. Picked up the phone 2 min before the auction ended and snagged the Coke Zero 400 tickets.

I was surprised how much some of the items went for. What a great fundraising event!

LMAO USF football players and cars. So he said to himself “I think I’ll smoke some weed and drive around with a busted tailight.” Anyone that stupid needs to leave...

Admitted it was his, but denied he had been smoking because he “just bought it” and said he only smokes in his room. Only a civil citation & was likely paid because he would’ve been arrested if it wasn’t. My guess is he didn’t report it to the university or team which is likely a violation of team rules and university code of conduct.

What did you hear? I know he was a 50/50 chance of catching the ball. He became down right bad at the end of the season znd its ashame. Dude was always open.

Pulled over for busted tail-light. Car reeked of marijuana. Multiple grams found in the car. If you want to know more, send me a PM.

Do you know why they are gone? You paint a sunny scnero (earrings, tucking in shirts, etc.) but this simply is not true. It is just as easy to say these players were snorting coke and slapping the coaches. We simply don’t know the facts.

I heard some stuff about Salomon that happened around the beginning of the season. After I found out, I was worried he wouldn’t finish the year with the team. Willing to bet it’s related.
