3-9 with a loss to UConn. Similar to Strong’s third year at Texas when they lost to Texas. The Charlie Strong effect. 

Shockingly impressed. This is what good coaching brings a program. 

This is easy. 3-9 is in the bag already. I’ll even go as far as predicting a loss to UConn. Just like Strong lost to Kansas in his third year at Texas, he will do the same next year. UConn will be his Kansas game. 

I say we beat SC State, at ECU, and upset someone we shouldn’t (Navy?). Next year will be another sloppy, bad executing low energy Strong team. He’s got to go to right the ship folks. 

Why does this program have such bad luck hiring coaches? 

This is Holtz 2.0. He’s going to purge talent to “right the ship” and we are in for a 3 win season next year. We will still look as bad as we did before with execution and sloppy play but at least we will have students with good grades this time. Just fire him now and end this madness.

Just pathetic how unprepared we look. Gilbert was a problem, but Strong is THE problem! 

I’ve never faulted Strong in recruiting. That’s one of his positives. I just don’t want to see sloppy play, bad execution, and dumb penalties on the field, like we’ve seen for the last two years. 

Well, he’s half right. He’s forgetting that we didn’t look prepared all of last year too!! We have looked sloppy ever since our visit to San Jose, and never improved. He just isn’t cut out as a HC anymore.

My worry is that our offense looks good suddenly against a SB or CUSA team in the nobody bowl, and Gilbert is retained. I don’t think it will happen, but it’s possible.
