Tickets may go down due to no FSU next year (hey were are the people saying level of opponents doesn't matter), but it is a lot easier for fans to pick up extra season tickets for friends if there is something new about the direction of the program. They have more time to do damage control until the renewal deadline.

i rewinded and watched twice. Landi came in and move the ball. When Floyd came back in and Landi left, they booed. Very clearly a good size group of people booed Floyd coming back in. No question whatsoever that they booed him.
That being said, they also booed Holtz at his decision to kick a FG with 10 minutes left. Teams have come back from more improbable odds before. They also booed holtz at end of game as he was leaving. These were the rough years. Now behind us.
Well I disagree on what they were booing on the first part, but I think everyone can agree the wimpy field goals and clock management were trademarks of the Holtz New Era. Hopefully the next coach is a hard-nosed guy that fights until the clock is 0:00.

NO PETRINO.
We need defense and a tough physical team. Even the Gators figured this out

Took me this long to get to a computer. In defense of the original poster, I saw this go down on the sideline (and heard thanks to silent crowd). Shaw basically freaking out and saying he was "done" and a couple players tried to come over to stop him halfway to the tunnel. It was quite a scene and none of the staff ever came over. it looked like the ESPN sideline guy and cameras were trying to get the scoop after he came back out, but I am not sure. There was a LOT of drama on the sidelines with security, fans, and team last night.
I thought the same thing about the coaches losing the team. Kind of a moot point today, but just wanted to point out that it did happen.

For the record, I don't think people were booing Floyd at all. It was cool to see Landi get that drive down the field and I think people wanted to see him punch it in. They were booing the coaching staff.

Thanks for the excellent in-game gossip, Hem! I was checking it out on my phone during the boring game.

I'm all in for next year.

I like Butch Davis. I liked his style of teams on the field. Admittedly, I am not an expert though.

This is a bummer. A trip to ATL would be cool.

It is a good debate. I think it is similar to that alcoholic family member that needs more money to buy food. Do you give them more beer money or throw them out on their arse?
Am I supporting my university or enabling them? All the signs are that football is dying and moves aren't being made. I promise I'll get clean and sober next time!

We need more of these regional matchups with ACC or SEC teams. Fun for road trips!

ALCOHOL!!!!

They should take the donation levels back to 1AA levels again since we are starting over anyways.
I would be down if they drastically reduced ticket prices because then I wouldn't feel bad about skipping half of these games. I just don't have the money to throw around pointlessly lately.
Not arguing, but how does the conference make a difference?
Personally, I think home game ticket sales will suffer when the reality of Temple and Tulane sets in. That's just my opinion though. I wouldn't mind as much being bad at the moment with Skip at the helm until he gets fired if I knew we could at least recruit on the conference prestige and buy him out ASAP in the near future.

I am all for the Askgary.com Powerball Field at USF Stadium

I love all the news flashes about how good practice is going. Practice? Are we talking about practice?
Aw shucks. His undershirt looks like he was assimilated by the Borg.

I'm concerned that other teams out of the "big 5" really don't have a reason to schedule us anymore.
I'm not sure. The expanded conferences give them less options for OOC games.
Agreed. If you're not in, you're getting choked out.
This is true. By the way, I love the out of conference games. Another thing I don't like about the current trend in CFB.

Hey, if McNeese state is coming back, can Matt Grothe come back?
-
i'd rather us go to ACC, what makes you think we could compete in the BIG12?
We can't even compete in the Big East
Who cares at this point.
1) Big 12 would generate us MORE CASH
2) Home games with 1/2 of the Big 12 conference = Filled Stadium
3) Home games in the NBE = Tulane, EZU ect
I will take the Big 12 conference whether we can compete, at the start or NOT!
Ty
Seriously. I am wondering how they are going to sell season tickets building up to the epic Tulane game.

Big 12 will approach FSU and Miami which will try to get Clem and GT with them. Issue is Fox/ESPN has Big 12s TV rights, and the only way to force renegotiate contract is to go to 14. ESPN will not pay more money to contract for just 2 ACC teams (as ACC is their baby), does Fox finance we will see. I still stand by the fact it has to be UVA/VT next to get FSU moving and give up hope of SEC.
The issue now with USF to Big 12 (assuming 12) is who to add, Cincy? Again in order for Big12 to go to 12, an additional $100 mil per year needs to be added to contract value, Cincy and USF will not provide that, thus no movement.
So correct me if I am wrong, but our situation essentially boils down to: FSU controling our destiny, or somehow get into the BIG 12 early? The future ACC looks like a version of the BIG EAST.

ESECPN will try to destroy the ACC after the Big East is finsihed. They want a league with 4-16 team conferences plus Notre Dame. Its cleaner and easier for playoffs, plus they only have a handfull of teams which they have to study. Easier for all.
I think it sucks, actually.
I heard Kirk on TV piling on the Big East today almost on cue.

im pretty sure UM gets 10x the ratings USF does
Hmm that would interesting to know since TV is apparently driving everything now (not regional travel, traditional rivalries, common sense).
I do know that no one goes to their games...

Question out to all the realignment scenario experts: How would FSU going to BIG 12 impact our changes in getting out of Big East? Do we have a chance of getting into an FSU-less ACC, or could we also get into a BIG 12 scenario?
Would FSU go with Clemson? If not Clemson, then which school?
I realize that people get sensitive about new threads, but I wanted to focus on FSU-related dominos since I keep hearing that rumor.

One step closer to sitting out a season on the tix for me.
It's tough. One starts to realize that there are better things to do on a Saturday. You can always buy 2-3 single game tickets.

then we invite TCU back to new BE/Old conference USA I guess this means my old usf shirt with all the old CUSA teams on it is almost back to being relevantSo what's the next move here? We knew acc was ging to add a 14th school and that's been done with Louisville....who acts next? We might see some down time in realignment for the next few months....nahhhhh
Side note: gotta be tough for uconn to see the cards go to acc....we've been giving Doug a hard time imagine the anger towards their athletic director
If UVA/VT makes a more after Maryland exits fees happen in next few months, then more movement, otherwise we are done for 5-7 (if Big 12 dissolves) or even 12 years when GOR end making 4-16 team conferences out of the "Big 5". Its either ACC or Big 12 that goes and one of either TCU,Iowa St or WF gets left out, imo.
That's hilarious. And sad.

Coaches you would like to see replace Skip (If he leaves)
in USF South Florida Bulls Athletics

Man I would love that. Notice that when we started doing this, our offense moved the ball this year? On the other extreme, you get teams like Oregon that are all offense, generate buzz, but always lose to a real defense. I'll take defense and pound the rock, plz.
