2 goddammit hands dolleson. Not a pick, but they'll keep it.

I think Mangham might have gotten up gimpy at one point. I like that qb power with RB as lead blocker here.

I always think it’s funny when a guy 150lbs heavier then the running back gets happy when he makes a tackle. Congrats bro
He's a solid 200 heavier.

Defense stiffening up?
I know I am.

As ineffective of a passer as he has been tonight, GB is leading this offense
Yes he is. Kid is leaving it all out there.

Why are we passing!?!

If we can stay in this, it has to be a huge confidence boost for the team. This offense works, let's keep it going and start seeing things click.

The Timmy we saw last year would have been extremely flustered out there tonight. GB, for his shortcomings, has been able to run this offense in a hostile environment.
True freshman Timmy that we saw last year. Who knows if he matured or not, but I don't like writing anyone off based on their true freshman season.

I think we need to steal a possession on special teams. Either onside kick, fake punt, fake FG, something. Our defense can't hold up, but the offense can keep the clock going and florida defense is getting gassed.

I'll have to rewatch, but I wonder if problems with WR separation is causing him to second guess the throws.
Horn may have scored on that last over throw, he was wide open underneath, not sure he could outrun those deep guys, but definitely not when the ball is 6' over his head.

I’ve said it before, all reports said play was similar in practice. Makes me wonder if this was another CJS qb **** up.
Yeah, I thought Timmy had a lot of upside. Wonder if coach was feeling his seat getting warm and afraid to develop a qb.

Why not go with a little tempo and run until they stop it. It's 2010 all over again. Terrible effort by the receiver on that too, gotta attack the football. A lot more competitive than I expected at this point.

So... what is Jeff Scott's plan to fix this? Horribly unprepared, over-matched, and uninspired. It's so depressing.

Sometimes I just click on the last page of a thread when I miss the earlier parts to see where it is going, I figured this one would be about cincy/bama game...nope... somehow got to OCS.
But.. congrats Cincy. They bested us on several levels, but I still find it funny that they were the AAC team to break through and not anyone else.

I mean, if we're talking about Leavitt...
I believe when Cristobal got hired at Oregon, Leavitt was interviewing as well. Hope he gets another shot there... Alternatively, I think he and Cristobal had a decent relationship, could he return to Florida as Miami's DC?

Replacement head coach? Uhhh, you realize Scott was not fired nor will be for two years…
I was thinking if Scott gets things going here and gets a shot at a job in a better conference. AAC has been a stepping stone for coaches, if he strings together a couple of winning seasons, he'll be hired away.
-
At this moment, Diaz is still Miami's HC, so, I doubt he's talking to anyone about a DC position... however, if that changes today, there could be a chance. He's a good DC, and honestly, assume Scott turns this things around and get hired somewhere else, Manny would be a good replacement HC for us. He's under contract for 2 more years at Miami, so with them paying him, maybe it would be something he'd consider.

this is so true but more fundamentally he doesnt know when the play clock is running down time and time again
This may be on the coach, gotta get a play call in to him with time to get it called at the line, ideally a pre-snap read of the defense, etc. Gotta get quicker all around.
Now... Do I fee robbed? Absolutely, if Scott made the DC change sooner, we could have won 4-6 games this year probably.

It's a shame that he had to play as a true freshman, ideally he would have had a year to bulk up and learn before being the full time starter. I am impressed with the kid, is he a Heisman winner in the future? Probably not, but he did some really good things with very little around him this year. Having said that, if someone comes in and they are an instant upgrade, great. Just don't forget, he was playing HS ball last year, and there is no doubt that he was the best we had on the roster this year. I expect growth from him.

Second year in a row I got suckered into coming to the inlaws for Thanksgiving and they do not have ESPN. Probably for the best, but if we ever get good, I may have to think about this whole marriage thing.

Ok, seriously think it's time to part ways with this coaching staff.

Sure, pay him and the rest of his staff for the next few years? Who do we hire then? Orgeron, would not come here.
Maybe we can bring Kerwin Bell in as HC.
There's a defensive minded guy that just might be interested.

My God, McClain has legit been the only bright spot this season and we're calling for him to be benched? Pull yourselves together guys. This team is awful and our coaching is awful.

Win or lose, I LOVE that Scott went for the jugular on that series. Not supposed to win this one, I like the killer mentality. Now, burn the clock, score a TD, be heros.
