  1. The AAC on the field competes at a level very close to the P5 and by some metrics better than the Big 12, but the problem is that we receive G5 money and less respect. This makes us the perfect poaching ground for coaches and leaves our programs in a constant state of turmoil. Sure, other G6 conferences get raided occasionally when their coaches are successful, but this is getting ridiculous with the AAC. As a conference, we lose our top coaches every year including the 3 best coaches in conference this year. Aresco needs to get us that better TV deal stat or this conference is not sustainable. The fact that our coaches are in such demand constantly should be indicative of the quality of programs we have and we need to get paid accordingly.

On the bright side... 1. If Oregon made a hard push for Ruhle, maybe they aren't interested in CWT... 2. If they made a hard push for Ruhle, maybe CWT isn't going to be so interested in being second choice.

Wishful thinking...if they call, "He GONE!" You will see a streak of light and a dust cloud. New slogan: "Bay made, gettin' paid."

  3. It's easy. What draws people to college football? Bragging rights and the feeling that you are a part of a community. Uf fans are competing with fsu and miami fans for bragging rights and they have a large community of fans as does fsu. Every game is big because the people in the office talk about it and fsu fans give you hell if you lose. I have never met a tulsa or tulane fan. No one cares if you win or lose that game and nobody in your office cares if you win or lose that game. Need to pick on the big boys and start some drama to get people to notice. Maybe taggart or AD can call out uf for stalling on the second game?

Ugh. I am beginning to feel that I would rather the game not be televised and have it at night. Fan/gameday experience taking a back seat to "exposure" is exactly what got us into the lackluster fan support situation we are in (obviously, among many other things). I drive up from south Florida for home games, and the nooners really kill everything from tailgating to gameday experience.

Yeah, and CBS Sports net is not going to get us much exposure anyways.
