The Big East had 3 or 4 new head coaches last year and Skip only managed 1 win with arguably the most talented team. This year we lose to first year coach Kile Flood. A first year coach usually signals a re-building year, but they continually get the better of the Bulls. What is going on?

The best player ever for the Jaguars came from Jackson State (Jimmy Smith)...granted he was a walk on and not drafted.

I was just wondering if any of you know whether the new schools will be bringing in competitive programs in sports such as baseball, softball, soccer, tennis etc. I know that UCF has a pretty good baseball and soccer program...I would like to see a Big East team in the college world series. We are already a pretty good soccer league.

If anyone has any tickets that they cannot use for the FSU game, please message me...I am planning on driving down from South Carolina with some passionate Bulls fans, but I know getting ahold of single game tickets will be difficult.

I like Holtz as a person and a recruiter. It's just his defensive philosophy that kills me. That could have factored into VH3's decision a little...the prevent defense and a nickel package are not the best ways to show off a corner's abilities.

This makes me sad...well, I guess we have to beat them up badly this year. We will likely face UF or FSU in a playoff game in the future

I chose USF over UF mostly because Gainesville is a crap hole. USF has tons of potential and I don't know about the older alums but when I attended, we were told not to back down and admit that you are second rate to anyone. USF is as good as any school in the country in my honest opinion. The facilities are amazing, the academics are on par with the other public state universities, the campus is gorgeous now, tradition is even there if it is brought to light. Sure we don't have the titles...yet, but it will come in time. We can't give into the mind set that we are the little guy at the kids table. I would have rather seen him go to a Big East school because I want USF to compete against the best and the Big East to be as strong as possible...I don't want to beat pansies. The SEC already has enough top recruits and UF as well as the billions of Gator fans have enough arrogance to make most people's head explode. Am I jealous of their titles, a little...do I want to see them fall hard, yes...Can I stomach them winning another title, probably not.

Ask most USF students and even alums...the school that they despise the most is UF with UCF as a distant second. I never expected to get VH3 because it is almost impossible to be able to do your thing with dad as the coach...it's just that choosing UF is like a dagger in the side.

Usf's arch nemesis...wow he must really hate his father. I would have rather seen him go anywhere else, even Notre Dame.

I am losing faith in Skip. Leavitt had both the players and fans thinking that USF was on the verge of being an elite team. His enthusiasm was matched by the players as he took no name recruits and had them beating the top programs in the state. I would like to see chubs run with the players everyday and set the example about how to be fired up for a practice/game.

UF as a better academic school! What are you smoking?...UF has a ton of arrogance, but not much else. It truly is the redneck school of Florida that happens to have a bunch of good ol boy congressmen that boost the "rankings".

I hope that AW is a competitor. am so tired of seeing BJ Daniels laughing and joking with the other team after an interception when they are kicking our butts. It is as if he doesn't care about winning most of the time and it really pains the fans to watch. Grothe would run over UCF players and then spike the ball in their face after scoring the touchdown...accidentally of course.

Got a call from a buddy of mine who is an assistant coach at Clemson. He says that there will be an announcement in the next few days that Clemson and FSU will be going to the Big 12. I hope USF has a plan in place.

Seems like based on that twitter, other coaches might have Been offering bribes. Holtz and co. May not be good coaches, but they run a clean program.

I say, as far as success goes Basketball was the biggest, because so many people pay attention to the sport and it is good exposure for the school...I get ribbed on when I am watching college softball (I still watch it anyways of course).

USF baseball has been the joke of Florida programs for a loooong time.Any success aka a winning season (even in the crappy Big East) is a plus.

I like him...he looks to throw first instead of taking off. He has a good arm and is willing to throw a block downfield.

How will this new student union compare to those at oter universities?

I believe that they are planning to put in a large bull statue approximately where the old Marshall center is now. There is a bull statue in the athletics department, and while it looks nice, it is hollow and not very hevy...I say something like the one on wall street with the charging bull, looking down the flowered terrace of MLK plaza.

it is disrespectful to sit during a college football or basketball game. If you go to a UF caliber game...you don't sit.
