Want to keep your coaches? Get into a better conference, get that TV money and pay them what they're worth. Until then, any bit of sustained success will result in poaching by those who have that setup already. It's pretty simple. It's not the facilities, it's not the location, it's not the administration, it's the money and the lack of opportunity to really be great on a national stage. It's just a fact.

I wonder if Mike Kelly has thought of that brilliant idea.

You can likely expect a decent VCU contingent in attendance.  VCU travels very well and even if it's just the NIT, I would expect a good group of people wearing Black and Gold come Sunday.

Maybe some people online. But I live here, and most FSU fans I know are currently of the mind, "oh, look at that, USF is having a good year" instead of "we need to poach their coach!" FWIW.

That may be the sentiment of FSU fans at the moment, but if Leonard Hamilton really does exit after this season, I'm certain their administration will be interested in AAR.

Lol CAAR already racked up $50,000 in performance bonuses. Who ever would have thought USF's basketball coach would be cashing bonuses with 3 games to go in the regular season with the potential of cashing every single one remaining?

His 5-figure bonus will be nothing compared to the extension and pay raise he's earning.

It's actually hilarious. I'm listening to Doug Gottleib's podcast and he interviewed AAR before they played Xavier.

His second coaching job was at GT under Gregory. At that job, he was pretty much an intern, simply rolling around a white board from place to place and tracking stats. Says it was a humbling experience to go from scouting and working directly with players at Murray State to his role at GT which sounds to me like a glorified student manager.

10 years later he is taking Gregory's old job...
