One of the best academic schools in the country? Plays in the ACC? Excellent facilities? Gorgeous campus? Has sniffed a conference title in the past 20 years? Pick one.

Wainstein report described as a “shadow curriculum” of classes that required no attendance, no interaction with professors, and no coursework beyond a single paper that was consistently given high marks.

    Top academics indeed.

  2. Leacock wasn't suited up.

Waller was in at DT. Absolutely massive but didn't look to get in on any plays of note.

Vaughn made a solid tackle in the 1st quarter. Got cut down but kept contain to take down one of the QBs that rolled out. It will be nice to see Reaves go hard for 1st-2nd down this year then see Vaughn come in on situational pass rush downs this year.

Coming into this class I thought we needed 2-3 big DT's. So far we have 0. I wonder if they are going to continue playing DE's at DT...230 lb guys on the interior does not seem like a good way to defend the run but correct me if I'm wrong.

    Starters:

    Kegler - 284

    Pinkney - 288

    Back Ups:

    Barber - 260

    Waller - 342

    Leacock - 270

    Armon Williams - 285

Yes it sucks to lose Ray to FSU however I think we are more than fine at DT.

LB on the other hand is a cause for concern. Unproven or underwhelming players everywhere: Polk, Reaves, Grier, Boyles, Copeland, Johnson, Sawtelle

  4. This should be a good gauge of our continued development as Austin Peay is a strong team out of the Ohio Valley Conference. Finished 3rd last year to Murray State and Belmont.

Having gone to the home opener, there is a lot to like about our team. They can only get better with more playing time together.

I really like Kiir with his length and athleticism (still unknown how he got that 2nd technical last game). The freshman C Durr has tremendous upside with his size and hustle (unlike Omogbehin of yesteryear, this 7 footer can move). Rideau showed flashes in the 2nd half of last game as he settled in, and Collins is coming off last years all rookie team performance.

In short, calling out all locals to make a conscious decision to get out and support this team. Strive to make it out and catch a game.

Maybe we can setup a bullspen tailgate for the 11/24 Saturday 2pm game vs The Citadel. Tailgating for basketball. Possibly celebrate a UCF upset?
