Could be he would be happy being here for the long term?  Maybe he says where he can make this thing his own for the next 15+ years.  He knows by staying here he is set to make at least 12 mil over that time.

In the world of coaching if he gets to 9+ wins in the next 2 years he probably gets a new contract that doubles what he is getting. All that and his life is probably less stressful than at an SEC school.

Would be nice if he has a love for the Bay area, makes the program his own and is in it for the long haul.

    Let's hope.

Love the thought but it's like anyone else who is offered more money, better facilities, higher profile etc - be difficult to turn down.

  2. Rodney Adams, Quinton Flowers and others on Twitter really eager to lead the resurrection of this program. Great to see this passion. EDIT - my tweet embedding skills are lacking.

You know this is easy to check and totally wrong, right? He pretty much focuses on positive USF Athletic stuff so acknowledging the games is pretty much all he did ....... and he's gone Twitter quiet on MBB since the Boston College game so I guess CBG is outta here also ...... smh.

Got me, didn't check it, thought he went quiet after SMU game for a while. Point remains, if Strong comes back next year I've lost all faith in the AD.

  4. I'm sorry but if Strong returns next year, I will have no faith in the AD going forward. Tough decision but time is now (or right after UCF game) to make it.

To me the writing is on the wall. Kelly went quiet on twitter after the SMU game, not even acknowledging the existence of any of the remaining football games. No public support from him for Strong at all. I think the way we capitulated to Wiscy and SMU might have made the decision for him, maybe he's spent the rest of the season trying to convince the donors.

We CANNOT have another season of Strong,

Willie Taggart had a losing record (24-25) at USF.

Willie Taggart never won a bowl game for USF.

Willie Taggart made the choice to leave us for one year of Oregon.

Willie Taggart has a losing record (16-17) across two other HC gigs since leaving USF.

This is the real issue I have. He left before QF's senior season with one of the best offenses in the country, 2016 was the year we were going to finally ascend to the next level (conference championship then possibly a new years bowl). Really hard to forgive him for that, especially after he leaves Oregon after that ONE year.

If he turns it around here again, what's to stop him from bolting again if we are on the edge of greatness. In other words how can you really trust that he's in it for the long haul, the guys track record says he will take the best offer available at any time.

    He

He is also leading in missed tackles!!!!  The kid is not a free safety and will hurt you more than he will help you. We need a true thumper at safety that can tackle. He also lazy like some others on this team. Caught out of position often and is awful in open field tackling. Our D as a whole does not wrap up and its the sole reason the run D sucks.

Nick Roberts clearly has wronged you in the past. Didn't hold a door open for you? Turned down an autograph maybe? Rejected your love proposal?

He continues to start for a much improved good defense and is a weapon on special teams. Ronnie Lott is not available in the portal, sorry.
