TAMPA, FLA. (January 9, 2007) – USF defensive end George Selvie has been named first team Scripps Freshman All-America, as selected by the Football Writers Association of America. Selvie hails from Pensacola, Fla.
Selvie, who was named second team Freshman All-America by The Sporting News earlier, was third on the USF team and led all linemen with 84 tackles. He tied for the team lead with 15 tackles for loss, and he also had 5.5 sacks. Selvie tied the school record for forced fumbles with four and he recovered two, including one for a touchdown at West Virginia.
Watching Florida's defensive ends just demolish Troy Smith last night, It reminded me of what this guy did to Pat White and Co. in Morgantown....

There is serious debate out there...I have never seen so many highlight reel plays. The way you can tell if games are good is by looking for the cliches that the movies use
4th and 18's
Last second 2pt conversions
Lateral plays
Crucial interception/touchdowns on the same play
This game had all of that.....in the final 2 minutes!!! I've never been more entertained

Why is there so much hate for this guy. Lou Holtz is a slightly senile old man...it makes for good comedy. He was a helluva good coach in his day so as far as Im concerned, the man can do what he wants. Plus I think he's pretty entertaining next to mark may and rece davis...if not a lil biased
Oh and he has my namesake...the man is genius!

That couldn't be better news....with Jenks staying, this could be OUR year

He will stay for his senior year...just long enough to re-write some NCAA records.....
And isnt option #3 a lil morbid :-/ haha

Hey KL, what are UCF's bowl plans this year?
-
To the Pirates credit, they did beat a University of Miami team that was reeling from NCAA sanctions a bunch of years back. I believe ECU had David Gerrard as their QB when they pulled off this win. Besides that, I really can't think of anything in recent memory that makes ECU stand-out.
All we have to do is beat ECU again, if we play them during the bowl, and hope that their fans finally shut their pieholes.
That's myth everyone uses that's untrue. The two Miami teams we beat were in the top 10 and even after we beat them both FINISHED the season in the top 15, one even won the old Big East.  The 1999 team only had about 15 1st round draft picks playing that day, guys like Dan Morgan, Santana Moss, Clinton Portis, Bubba Franks etc.  We also beat two Syracuse teams that finished in the top 15 as well one with McNabb, Marvin Harrison etc.
...but you still have to get up every morning, look in the mirror and realize you're a purple pirate. Tough way to start any day

That is a great pic

"RU's best win was over Navy?"
......or was it Louisville....
-
As quoted from UCFingSUX
"As said previously, we don't want to win out after having embarassing losses like Cincy and Kansas along with narrow wins against UCF and such. All in all, I say we win against Pitt and Cuse and go to a good bowl, and then make a run next year or the year after."
Nah, I say Bulls first, BE second... if we win against Pitt then Cuse do you think Leavitt's sit back take the last 2 weeks off? Since when do you aim to pack it in ever, let alone against 2 of the best teams in the country. Saying that we dont want to win out, thats madness.
-
Ha, it seemed like just last week we were all so positive and chummy about the progress of Da Bulls...wait it was last week. Everybody, it's one loss. I'm not being naive but c'mon...it can't be easy playing the second of two straight road games in the cold in Cinci, a team who gave Louisville a real test the week previous. Cinci came into the game having played Ohio St, Virginia Tech, and Louisville on the road in a roughly a five week span. 3-4 was prob a realistic goal for them coming into our game Sunday. Im not making any excuses, we executed poorly and Grothe looked like the frosh that (we can easily forget) he is.... we are one of the youngest teams in the country and we had an off-game, big deal! Calling for Leavitt's head, that's ridiculous!!!
