  1. USF 37 INCY 10 Please beat the heck out of the baby blue bastages. Next to the fans of the University of Texas, theirs are the worst on earth.
  2. Windbane, that is what I told you guys after our game. Barmann is very effective when given time. Rush him and he will make mistakes. He's a senior and our THIRD string QB. That fact should tell you something. Had you guys put pressure on him all night you might well have had a different result. As for the offense we racked up on the vaunted Nebraska defense. Please don't tell anyone, but they are not all that great. Our Oline was pushing them around pretty good there in the fourth quarter. Once again, KU gives a close game away. Missed extra point (bad snap), two dropped TD passes in the end zone, and a fumble on the two yard line (sound familiar?). Oh well, aTm next at our house. We can beat these guys and I think we will. Go bulls, beat the tarholes!
  3. Please beat the heck out of the powder blue. Misery is the only school I enjoy watching lose more than carolina. Have no doubt that the Jayhawk nation will be pulling for USF to get the W. (Don't just earn a W....pulverize the baby blue).
  4. I do not agree with the joke comment.  Their being ranked in the top 25 might be questionable however.  My Jayhawks are a second tier big XII team.Rutgers would be hard pressed to finish in the top half of the B12, and the conference is way down this year.  Texas -L Oklahoma - L Nebraska - L Misery - L aTm - L Iowa State ? Kansas ? I was pulling hard for the Bulls.  Gotta tell you guys, no matter what your record turns out to be, watching Grothe is worth the price of admission all by himself.  If you guys can find a way to solve your defensive issues, you can bet a bowl committee will want to have Mr Grothe come visit.  (btw, a reliable running game not featuring Mr Grothe would help also) Good luck next week. ÂÂ
  5. I wonder if his mother knows he is on the computer. Juvenile is the single word to describe his drivel.
  6. Just one true blue Jayhawk stopping by to wish the Bulls well. Beat Rutgers.
  7. Thanks Getahobby. No disrespect was intended I assure you. Even were we stupid enough to schedule USC, that too would have been a tune up game for conference play. You are correct, the pre and post game shows were very positive on USF. And deservedly so. Beat Rugers....Go Bulls!
  8. Totally unsolicited comments from an opponent. (only 1 game observed) Please understand none of this should be considered a slam on USF. I was impressed with your team speed. Faster than we typically see in B12, save Texas. Grothe...stud, say no more. Running attack....no opinion, I have not seen it #51 absolute stud....will play Sundays Dline....problems there. Need to scheme ways to get to QB. Dbacks....I think it unfair to comment. No one should be expected to cover as long as our QB was getting. I will say our receivers were open a lot, but then Barmann had all day. I will reserve judgment. Special teams.....good. Your punting style was unconventional but placed us consistently in poor field position. Guys, I like your team and think you will be bowl bound. You gotta find a way to pressure the QB, and a running game to take the pressure off Grothe before he is killed back there. You guys are young like us. With experience USF will be a helluva team. I did think your coach messed up by not going all out to get to Barmann. Adam is almost a stationary target and will pee down his leg if pressured enough. Perhaps he planned for Kerry Meier, but when an immobile QB with little experience started, I thought you guys should have gone after him. I have an advantage because I have seen Adam for four years... Go Bulls....Beat Rutgers.
  9. Touchy aren't we. For a troll, I have been rather complimentary of the Bulls don't you think? If I have in any way run down USF, I apologize, for such has not been my intent. If trolls on your board wish you well and say, "Beat Rutgers" perhaps I fit that description. I am not trying to stir up problems.....are you? Hmmmm.
  10. You are probably right re a game at your house. We stink on the road. Let us not forget however that KU's starting quarterback played exactly zero downs. Adam had done only mop up minutes in one game. That and the fact that KU had one TD called back and another would be TD resulted in a fumble at the two yard line. Kerry is every bit the runner that Grothe is and he is larger. (Not nearly the poise of Grothe). For a frosh, your QB is something to watch. And #51 on you D is one of the better ones we will see this year. That said, if Kerry Meier played, I would take KU and the 14 thank you.
  11. Would you prefer to play us in hoops? There your perennial powerhouse comment might be more warranted. We are not a good football team, but I don't think we are as bad as some of you evidently thought. Especially at home, you have to bring your A game to beat us.
  12. Grateful, thanks for the kind words.  I hope it does not seem arrogant when I say that I am not surprised that you were welcomed.  Way back when I was in school (when dinosaurs roamed the earth), KUs position was that our opponents fans were guest and should be treated as such (except Missouri fans who should be shot on sight).  I hope you enjoyed your time on our beautiful campus.  It is hardly the stereotypical scene in most folks mind regarding the state of Kansas.  Please visit again.  Beat Rutgers....Go Bulls. ÂÂ
  13. Yes, we won the Fort Worth Bowl, which is conveniently located only about 15 miles from my house. Lucky me. Don't quote me on the score but I think it was 43-15, but the game was not that close. Last year we did have a very good defense. Highly ranked nationally against the run. This year is a work in progress. Were I in your position I would be concerned that the offense of the Jayhawks was pretty limited in play calling due to our starter being out. We used only basic plays and had pretty good success. Suffice it to say that the entire play book was not available with Adam in there. Kerry is a genuine threat to run and has the speed to burn you with a long one. Adam might run but can be caught from behind by offensive linemen....lol.
  14. I will only say that it was a major mistake not to put more pressure on Adam Barmann. Adam is an efficient, not spectacular, QB when given enough time to throw. He is slower than molasses, and is easily rattled when under pressure. He will blow reads repeatedly if the heat is on. Failure to blitz him was a mistake in my opinion. Rock Chalk Jayhawk
