I spoke with a friend last night who is a law student at MSU and they have an all you can eat and drink tailgate so I may do that, as I want to be outside as well.  Hopefully we get a cold front this week and have some nice cool fall weather.  Most of you do not get to experience that weather, I will say you can literally feel it is football season up here in the fall.  One of the few good things...

That sounds awesome. The tailgate part is what we're still brainstorming on. Luckily our hotel is right next to campus if we need to run back and get anything.

We decided not to do the USF tailgate. I was really hoping it would be outside on campus somewhere, not at a pizza place east of campus. Hopefully it's a nice day out!

Any suggestions for a place?  Maybe the same place as the Alum party on Sat?

We're thinking of starting at the Peanut Barrel. Everything is within walking distance from there to all the other bars and restaurants.

The alumni party Saturday looks to be in a strip mall on the east side of campus.

Any Friday evening events planned yet??

I reached out to the Alum Association and they don't have any plans to host anything Friday night. 

Would be nice if we could organize something at one of their bars in town. Sounds like we'll have a decent amount of people showing up for this one.

I can't listen to it at work but it looks funny!

We're currently ranked 23rd in the country and first in the AAC. Not bad.

Did you get tickets already?  I just read my email confirmaton and it says section TBD.

 

I decided to get them on my own this time. MSU had a lot of different visitor sections around the stadium and some in the second level. We're somewhat recent alum and probably not very high on the ranks - didn't want to get stuck up high somewhere. 

We usually show up at 2 for a 7pm start and pack everything up starting at 6. 

I'm flying in to Flint. Will I make it to East Lansing alive?

I like basic billboards like the one above. If you try and crowd too much on to it, you're losing the point of the message by trying to add too much flash.

Actually I just looked at the one the OP posted above and do see the season tickets $80.

I pass the one on 75-S but all I see is the Power of U. I'll have to check it next time.

I emailed my rep and this was my response. Guess I need to donate more next year. 

"You’re actually in our third round of season tickets to be printed and shipped so you tickets will be mailed out next week. "

Doubt it goes by most important to least. Buddy of mine is a new season ticket holder and he got his email early this morning. I've had tickets four years now and nothing yet. Not worried about it. I am hoping for my Hooters discount card though...

Didn't get an email or a phone call. Oh well, three weeks to go!

As I student I went to a lot of the games. I usually make it to two games a year now.

I was up in section 317 and some people from the bulls section moved to my section sitting in other fans seats, then when those fans got back from concessions or where ever, they offered them their bulls section seats. What's the deal? Taking other fans seats is not cool.

I left at the end of the 9th inning, heard the rest of the game on the radio. Exciting finish.

I thought all of the USF sections were in the 100 level

As others said, sound was rough. Also, two of the tvs in our section were extremely fuzzy. Other than that, food was ok and beer delicious as always.

I think next year have an activity or two for people to participate in, other than the ones for people that have their tickets pulled.

Had fun, will go next year.

Odd. My seats aren't as nice as yours, but my section (222, $99) was the same as last year.

She picked them up from One Buc while she was there today. I'd imagine the tickets from the ticket office are still a little ways off.

They're going out the week of August 5th.
