  1. Earlier in the game the ESPN guys said middle Tennessee is 3 and 0 in Nashville, so I guess this is not where they usually play..... MTS is having their "Home" game closer to Louisville to draw a larger attendence from the L'ville fans..... I.E. Its all about the money. Similar to when Wake Forrest (from North Carolina) played a "home" game against FSU in the Citrus bowl a few years back.
  2. Get there atleast 5 hours before game time (when the parking nazis get there) and parking is free.   ;D
  3. 14 defensive points for rutgers 7 minutes into the first, this ones gonna be a run away. Louisville is playing temple on the game plan, 7-0. L'ville ran a 60 yard drive in just five playseasily sticking it to the temple D. Big shocker there.........
  4. He's not the right person for our head coach but you want him to stay .......... Got it. I never said I wanted him to stay. I personally dont like him as a coach and think we could find someone who could bring in stronger players, produce more victories, and put more discipline into our players. He's definately not the worst guy in the world, just that we can do better.
  5. I hate to say I told you so, but I've been saying for 2 years Jim isn't god and isn't the right person for our head coach. And every time I've said that to somebody I get the same answer, "But look what he has done for the program!!" Yes we've moved to 1-A, yes we are in a BCS conference, yes we've got a new athletics complex, but thats not just because of Leavitt's doing. His on the field antics and demeanor are not what I'd expect from a million a year head football coach. We've all aired our displeasure about the media availablitiy as of late. Out recruiting (or both players and assitant coaches) could be better. His "loyalty" to a certain player because he's a senior over the better performing player is reminisant of Pee-Wee football, not NCAA football. I'm not saying Leavitt is horrible and has to go, but I get tired of some people talking him up like he's a god.
  6. More the reason to get Gothe in Early this season to get the reps in befor we get to the tougher part of our schedule Rod Smith still needs to go.  It not a matter of IF the contraversy comes up again, but WHEN.  (and for good reason) Like it or not Grothe is the future of this team for the next few years.  PJ has had plenty of time to learn what 1-A NCAA ball requires from a QB, but again hasn't been able to show it consistently on saturdays.  I'm not saying Grothe has, (obviously) but leadership is something are offence is going to need bad, and new quarterback with 2 or 3 good showings can spark the entire offence mentally.
  7. I gotta agree. I see us using this game like an NFL uses a preseason game. Get the starters in there, pick up a comfortable lead, then get the second team out there to gain some experience when victory is sure in hand . We start the season with a weak schedule, while the last month will be pure hell. Adding a little depth to the roster will help big time down the road.
  8. 2-ish? whoa.... I plan to be tailgatinging by noonish-ish
  9. I transferred to USF out of Community College so I was really looking forward to a "real" college atmosphere with the crazy parties, comradery, school pride that you imagine when you think of a large university, even though I knew nobody at USF. Within a week I realized that everyone else in the Engineering department was more worried about studying 24/7 than athletics, so I was going to have to take matters into my own hands.  I went to my first football game alone, got wasted, and made a bunch of great friends.  The rest is history......  Go Bulls!
