  1. Ouch-ain't that the truth. It's sad, because they have a good team and have played a really tough schedule this year. I've been to every one of their home games (incl. exhibitions) and listen on-line to every away game. Hope others don't wait too much longer to find out that we've got the leading scorer in the nation right here at USF and come out and support Jessica Dickson and the rest of the USF Women's Basketball team. Kudos Coach Fernandez.
  2. So...if you'd like to see USF win some games in the Big East, come out to see the Women's team! Next game is 2/11 at 7 pm vs. Pittsburgh. Current Record All: 15-7-0 through 24 of 32 Conference: 5-4-0 through 9 of 16 You might be surprised by how well they play!
  3. Ari: I just love your logic... "Athletics is the tip of the spear in fundraising." "Actually I am very proud of my economics degree, and when I make my small fortune I will for sure donate a nice chunk to all of my economic friends at USF." So here you are expressing some future philanthropic intent to USF despite all the things you see wrong with the athletic program currently. What is motivating you to consider future charitable intentions? The football team? Basketball? Soccer? I'm guessing it's your economics degree. "I don't think I could have gotten a better ed anywhere in the country. It was well rounded, it crossed all ideology, and has served me well in the real world." Maybe you should chat with the "liberal arts" group at the water cooler a little more often. I'm sure some of them could tell you about the 'logic' classes they took at USF.
  4. Hey "Guest" Ari: Read the thread. The call is for people to join the ALUMNI ASSOCIATION not the Athletic Association. They are two completely different organizations. Before you start dropping more 'let's beat up on USF athletics' e-bombs in every thread, try reading what you're posting to, ok? P.S. Don't speak for me. I am very proud of my University. So much so, that I became a life member of the ALUMNI ASSOCIATION this year. No, it wasn't because of the athletic programs; it was because of the quality of the educational programs and the impact they have on our lives and in our communities. I will give you one point though. You're right (to paraphrase you); "the truth" is you are a "downer" and a "jerk."
  5. Great pics! Thanks for posting. We had a great time at the game and really enjoyed the road trip back "horning" our fellow Bulls fans. Looking forward to next year!
  6. P.S. How about the Green & Gold guys? We've gotta have them there....!
  7. IMHO-March Victorius is a better song but I'd definitely go with the Fight Song. It's pretty good except the "Our beacon lighted and noble to see" part. Not sure how that relates to USF and, honestly, it sounds kinda dumb or perhaps too grandiose. We're not some old brick and ivy covered, staid university. USF is a young, vibrant, modern university and has accomplished great things in a short amount of time. Lighted beacons just sound old-fashioned to me.
  8. "Going on down to Southpark...." We just booked our rooms there and are looking forward to seeing all our fellow bulls fans at the reception, game and other festivities! Charlotte here we come! GO BULLS!!!! ;D
