ESPN is so slanted against us and such a shady network. Think we can get the student section to organize and make up anti- ESPN signs for our home games? I bet they would.

Shocking that they would ignore us!  We have won so many national titles!  We have millions of fans all over the country and the world!

Ok, maybe they are focusing on the conferences and big schools.  Why would they do that?

    Oh yeah, money.

You're replies are so typical and boring. You seem more anti USF then anything.

  2. You're correct on not 100% knowing what will happen this year.  I "hope" we run the table and go 12 - 0.  I love the Bulls.  Always have and always will.  I'm also realistic about things.

This is a "get through it" year and build for the future.  Not negative at all.  Same old out of this world expectations on this board.

Since when is it out of this world to expect the team to win 6 games? Gimme a break.

  3. And DW is happy about this situation?

According to Brett McMurphy's latest article:

    http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/9364692/smaller-conferences-look-add-bowl-games-sources

If McMurphy is to be believed:

    1) AAC getting froze out of bowls against "P5".

    2) Aresco bowl can't get a "P5" opponent.

    3) Any new bowls we create will be against "G5".

    4) Liberty may not be a viable option. Looking at "P5 vs P5"

    5) According to McMurphy, we are a "smaller conference". Whatever "smaller conference" is.

    6) UCF bowl being considered, but will be against Sun Belt, MAC, or CUSA.

    7) LA bowl might pitt AAC against MWC.

    8) The independence and Military bowls (thought to be a lock for AAC) might be out also.

    Bad to worse

You spam up the CSNBBS board too, same exact posts.

Other than the name, what would really change? The P5 have huge TV contracts, the rest of us have tiny TV contracts. How many of the Non P5 teams have a legitimate chance to win an NC? How many of the lower level P5 teams have a legitimate chance? If there were zero inter divisional games, we would lose 2 to 3 games a year. We could replace those games with Boise St., BYU, SDSU, Fresno St etc....Not every good recruit in America would flock to the likes of Wake Forest, Northwestern, Vandy etc.... just because they play in the P5. I just don't think that the change would be that big.

You are very misguided if you believe what you just wrote.

How? Am I wrong about the TV contracts? Am I wrong about having a legitimate chance to win a NC? How am I misguided. What do you think will happen? Please enlighten me, guide me in the right direction. What am I wrong about?

I guess you don't remember just a few short years ago when our team was ranked #2 in the country... You need to get a clue bro

So why aren't we in a P5 since we we're #2? One season, check that 2 or 3 weeks at #2 mean nothing. BTW, 6 years are not a few short years ago. We are already in the second division. You can chose to ignore that all you want, but a pile of dog .... by any other name still smells the same.

You are the one who mentioned having a legitimate chance at winning the Natty Champ. All I said is if you are ranked #2 in the BCS at end of season, you play for Natty Champ. If you ain't in a power conf you will NEVER be ranked #2. You asked "what would change if we were no longer in a power conf", well that's the answer. Get it now?

We are ALREADY outside of the P5. IF they create a new level NOTHING will change regarding our legitimate chance at a NC. Bottom line, end of story. You can argue all you want about as it stands now, IF we were to win out we would have a chance at a NC, that is pure unadulterated BS. Hell, there was a debate as to whether an undefeated ACC champ would get into the playoff. Do you REALLY think that an undefeated AAC team would out muscle a one loss SEC team. I'd bet that they wouldn't get in over a 2 loss SEC team. Do you honestly think that if we were to go undefeated this year, that we would have a chance at a NC? Seriously consider the situation before you answer. If you're honest, then you will Get it.

You are totally clueless when it comes to this topic, my advice is to move on to something else.

  5. .
I have to see how the holes on Defense get filled in before making a predition on wins but UCF's QB Bortles is the most talented QB GOL has had at UCF. If he continues to develop he will be the best QB after Bridgewater in the conference this season.

     No.

Then who else is there in the AAC? Do you even follow the other AAC schools? Bortles is easily #2 in the AAC and probably the best QB in FL, this year. That's until we see what that super freshman at FSU does.

  6. Y'all talk talent separation and lopsided victories. The 2007 game was a beat down, no doubt, but the last time we played in 2008, went into OT with USF's Grothe at the helm and UCF finished 4-8 that year. But that's the past, we'll have to see what happens this year. Honestly, I think the AAC is Louisville's to lose, followed by Rutgers. With the rest being old CUSA and Temple, I see UCF at 7-8 wins. Hope one of them is vs USF to get that monkey off our backs. Marshall was 3-0 vs UCF while we were in the MAC, but has gone 0-8 vs UCF since we both joined CUSA. Things change. But it's all in good fun. See ya in November.

LMAO we aren't Marshall bud. It just irritates you that we are and have always been better than you guys. As long as you guys have O'leary it will continue to be that way.

  7.

Sure, you're 4-0. But that doesn't mean crap anymore. It's 0-0 as conference mates now, in my eyes.

How convenient.  Discard history when it's not on your side.

    :loser:

Funny how this dude seems to think they have a chance at the conference title. He forgets that his team severely lacks the talent of the 5 leftovers for this season. They aren't playing the UTEPs and Rices this year to inflate their win total.

  8. Not stirring the pot CPR, just reading this thread and wondering where some of your fans are coming. Sure, you're 4-0. But that doesn't mean crap anymore. It's 0-0 as conference mates now, in my eyes. And yes, we may have a chance to beat USF this season and countless more to come. And UCF, the AAC and Gator honks like Bianchi will go above and beyond to make sure the national perception of USF tags them as arch rivals to UCF, for as long as we're in the same conference. Sounds good?

Being conference mates means jack. Talent wise we are head and shoulders above the golden knights, and the "rivalry" will continue to be lopsided.

  9. I guess y'all admit you're playing catchup to UCF. Even if not and you think it's the other way around in your minds, it's not like you set the bar that high to reach. If there is one.

But UCF also has many bigger fish to fry prior to our lil match to give a what-fer, like South Carolina, Penn State, Louisvile, etc. So, we'll see how we stand by then.

Some of you laugh like what I'm saying isn't real, but it's very real and i truly think you all believe this situation is temporary and you're on your way out like Louisville. You're not. You're still hanging onto the idea of joining the FL "Big 3" as #4. Good dream. We have that too. Difference is, USF no longer has a leg up on UCF. Not only that, USF is pretty much being shoved to rival UCF and can't control it. Billed as rivals on TV, video games, our conference and even being out on ABC on Black Friday during rivalry weekend!

LOL you're a complete idiot. And my money is on UL beating your C-USA talented team by at least 3 TDs.

  10. I hate to break it to you, but this isn't another September home/home OOC game series. It's now a conference game and meaningful. It's also a inner-state game from two schools 1.5 hrs away from each other. If its not a rivalry now, it will be. And this new conference will sell it as one. And guess what, this isn't a temporary solution. USF is stuck with this, so deal. I think a lot of you are still in denial thinking that the Big 12 or someone will be calling any moment to save USF. They're not.

I'm glad someone brought up ECU as well. You all will be playing them each year after this season from now on. You are 4-0 vs them. Now maybe they finally beat USF and can start a rivalry with USF, too. Same with Tulane and Tulsa. Welcome to our hell world now and get used to it. Nobody is coming to save any of us.

Right now, UCF is a better football team and program than USF and many give UCF a good shot at even winning the AAC. If anything, for USF it'll be UCF as the team to beat, not the other way around. USF should be more aware of the fact they're rebuilding from their "Holtz new era". That's gonna take a while.

And based on our recruiting classes, it won't take long to overtake little UCF.
