  1. The Sun Dome could be a great environment...no offense but your clueless...

Florida's O'Dome is considered to be almost an exact copy (they do not have replay boards and the lower level is all bleachers. Yet it is considered to be a 10 ten hardest place to play. This is college sports its not about where you play, but the environment you play in.

When it was suggested that Florida build a new arena to big alumni and Billy Donovan they scoffed, they love the environment the O'Dome offers.

PS - Did you forget we had Texas come in a few years ago...what about Colorado...It's hard to get teams in you own house. Big East play will bring in PLENTY of quality opponents

  2. ET, I kinda disagree, the national media bringing up CJL's name is gonna make the local media start questioning him directly about a possible change in scenery. This is the main stretch of our season, the last thing we need is CJL worrying about what questions the media is going to ask him.

According to most sources (ESPN confirming) now its CJL and Brent Venebles of Oklahoma for the job and Synder is included in the process.

  3. If it makes you feel better the poster misspelled Venables too...

    Mandel just put this up,

Leavitt, who in nine years has taken South Florida's program from infancy to BCS contention, should be at the top of the list. He's rejected major-conference overtures in the past, but he has a personal attachment to this one. Oklahoma defensive coordinator Brent Venables is another former Snyder protégé. And TCU coach Gary Patterson, whose team just finished 8-0 in the Mountain West Conference and locked up its third 10-win campaign in four years, once served as a graduate assistant at K-State, though long before Snyder's arrival.

  4. toolio,

I'll have to agree, with FSU/Bowden in their twighlight UF went out and got a very good young coach to counter the down time that will come after Bobby leaves FSU. I'm sure fans are sweating now, but I believe it will pay off in the long run.

I thought Chris Leak was very clutch in thee SC game (as he was in Tennessee) I forsee him being very very good QB next year, seems like the offense is comming to him.

  5. Bulls96....I disagree one of the main jobs of a college coach is to TEACH the players how to play the game. You can give anyone great recruiting class after great recruiting class and not be a good program.

Zook did a bad job of developing those players. Now on Saturday Meyer was outcoached, I watched the games with some friends at a bar staurday, and although i didn't see much Spurrier was able to make the plays that Gators couldn't.

In the immortal words or Vince Lombardi, "Winning is a habit, you have to learn how to win, before you do so."

I wouldn't count out any of the Big 3 until they cannot pull in recruiting classes and don't have the funds comming in. Remember FSU and UF are two of the largest booster backed sports programs in the country.
