No, they're not Big East material. But the money could be set to build up the new sports so that the entire athletic department can be represented in the conference. As of now, football/basketball/baseball will compete in the Big East at a respectable level. USF won't be the Rutgers of the Big East. But you also can't expect to just throw money at a select few sports and assume those sports will automatically be top notch. Plus, walking into the Big East will provide plenty of money through BCS contracts and the such, much more than USF is scoring through CUSA.
