If that’s the case seems a bit silly to stop because a coach can’t attend.  So what, move forward and set it up for next year.

I agree if it's something that simple. But I would think Michael Kelly at the very least could be had. Maybe Joey Knight or another local sports guy would show up to answer questions. My guess is the "problem" is something different than this though.

  2. If you like drinking then the Tampa area is a good place to be. A ton of craft breweries. Plus the Yuengling factory is in Tampa right next to Busch Gardens. Downtown St. Petersburg has a high concentration of really good breweries and museums. Plus it's closer to the beaches.

Fort Desoto, Bean Point on Anna Maria Island, and Clearwater Beach are the top beaches. John's Pass is a but touristy but there are a lot of shops, good restaurants, a brewery, and great views.

You can find good Cuban sandwiches all over. Seafood is something you gotta eat while you're down here too.

The tailgate atmosphere should be good vs you guys. Our fanbase is pretty laid back and welcoming. Lots 3 & 4 are where the students generally are and the more party-like atmosphere.

Hope some of this info helps!

This is complete fantasy right now. Would be nice. I wonder what the TV deal $$ of such a conference would look like compared to the current AAC contract?

If Army, BYU, Air Force, Boise, San Diego St., and Colorado St. were involved you'd easily be doubling the 7 mil a year each program gets with the new AAC contract. Still probably falling well short of the 22 mil a year each program is getting in the Big 12.

The biggest detractor for adding teams out west seems to be travel and the costs (especially for Olympic sports).  Is there some way to limit this by limiting scheduling across the divisions?  Football doesn't play every school every year, why should the other sports?  Keep the majority of the games among the divisions with 1 to 3 trips cross country.  The conference can schedule schools in the west strategically (ex USF and UCF) in one trip and vice versa (Houston, SMU).  There has got to be a way to make it work and with UCONN leaving this presents the perfect opportunity to go bold and be the first 16 team conference (only if the tv deal is negotiated to keep the payouts the same of course).  Also eliminates your closest competition (MWC)

West: SDSU, BYU, Boise, Air Force, SMU, Houston, Tulsa, Memphis, (Wichita)

East: Temple, Army, Navy, UCF, USF, Cinci, Tulane, ECU

Adding the likes of Boise, BYU, and the service academies are far more desirable than a 12 team league with UCONN.  I know most of this has been speculated at nauseam I just think it's time to go bold with a major statement or else the conference may as well throw in the towel for football like UCONN has.  I think if  Aresco can come up with a structural/scheduling strategy that limits travel expenses, all the schools you are looking to invite would benefit much more financially from the new tv deal and would jump at the chance for higher payouts (with the exception of BYU depending on their current negotiations).  The MWC is not going to get close to what the AAC did on their next contract so why not as long as the numbers work, big "if" though.

I'm on board for this except I'd make a few changes. As much as I like Army I'd add Colorado State or Fresno St. instead. Move Memphis to the east. In your scenario I feel the divisions are a little too imbalanced. Plus to your traveling points I think that helps out quite a bit there as well.

If signing an NLI isn’t making a commitment , then nothing is.

Iris Tsafara #24....early commit, and early NLI signer came and went as quickly as she came.  Another Euro-flop for CJF.

No further reply will be made by me.

Another Euro flop.. much like Kitija Laska, Maria Jesperson, Laura Ferreira, Laia Flores, Ariadna Pujol, ect. Some players pan out, some don't. It's part of sports. Whether they come from Europe, FL, NYC, Philly, or Chicago has no determining factor on that.
