I'm pretty surprised schools are willing to jump from the pac to big 12. Very underwhelming schools there. Barely above g5 level with TX and OK

Home vs fiu in 2026 will be a conference game replacing one of the last respectable members of our current conference (maybe Memphis?)

@ fiu in 2029 will be after theyve followed every other Florida school and blown passed us

I imagine it'll come to no surprise that yes, I do favor this. 

Decades of abject failure across the board in sports should be enough. We've continually watched programs come from behind us and blow past us, even with less funding. Ucf, now Fau were jokes to us 10 years ago but are now well clear of us. 

No harm in waiving a white flag. Just drop football and move everything else down to something we can be competitive in. Maybe the big south or the mid eastern athletic. Start a rivalry with famu. 

We should just have a random fan coach the games. Just grab someone on their way in and reward them for showing up. We are an abject failure at every sport might as well lean into it.

Fau has already blown past us. They're in the elite 8 and have a very good chance of making the final 4. Nothing usf will do in any sport in our lifetimes will compare to that. 

I'd bet money on Florida Atlantic getting a conference upgrade before us. 

They've literally accomplished more in this ncaa run than we have in any relevant sport. 

That this university hasn't figured out how to do anything well in any sport after so long is really something

A truly comical schedule. Can't imagine a bigger waste of time than attending one of these. 

Need to leave this conference now. Or shut the program down. Independent is better than this.

As someone who wants us to either shut down the football program altogether or go independent and play 12 road games a season at power 5 schools, losing them all, I LOVE this hire 

Pretty sure we're just going with the idea I've been championing of becoming the Washington generals of cfb and playing 12 road games a season as an independent, getting blown out in them all and this is just the first step of that. 

Any player who doesn't enter the portal should be viewed as having character flaws. If you place any value on winning you'd have long since gotten out of here. 

I said in another thread. The difference between systemic losers like us, and winners like ucf was shown in our 3 straight rb dives from the 50 yardline followed by a punt. Compared to them going for the td at the end when they could have run it out for a fg. 

Shut down the football program. 

Really illustrates the difference between a systemic loser like us and a winner like them. We have barely been stopped all half, get the ball in great field position with 5 minutes to go and run 3 predictable runs up the middle and punt. They're sitting on our 20 yardline in easy field goal range but they go for the win and throw a td to put it out of reach. 

Please shut down this garbage program.
