Today was like owning a stock that goes up like 10,000% and then watching it drop 50% in one day.
It's definitely up overall but that one day hurts.
It's good to keep a big picture perspective.
This season was the first time this program ever even GOT to the AAC semifinals. Is losing that game fun? No. But, if we are ever going to win the AAC tourney, one first has to get to the semi's, and learn what that's like. The elder statesmen of the team can pass that down, and those expectations and that learning can continue in the halls of LRS and the YC in the offseason.
We have always punched up as an athletics program. We are going through the painful growing process of becoming a program that doesn't want to just punch up forever, but to live with the pressure of being the one with the target on it's back. The one that's favored, ranked, expected to win, whatever, and then goes out and does just that. That's hard to do in one single season, and hard to do consistently over many seasons.
I do hate today but we CAN win the NIT, and that'll be another "next" for this program. In football, Memphis will be tough but we can and should compete this year - that's another "next".
Chins up Bulls Nation. For the most part all the things we've been wanting to happen, are happening, but there will be bumps and learning and lessons along the way. But we seem to finally be trying to build this thing the right way.
Oh, and hopefully some actual, juicy rendering will be here in a few weeks.
You say that like winning the AAC tournament is some achievement. Uab, a school with a logo made on fiverr that never should have been added to this conference to begin with, and is nothing more than an embarrassment to every other school (just like the other 6 turds we added) just won it in their second season in this league.
If we actually deserve to go to the acc like some of you think we should be slapping down these ai generated teams in the AAC easily.

Cool. I'll be doing something else then. Won't give this matchup a second of my time.

Turn it on, USF post season basketball is rare.
Absolutely not. This game is yet another example of the ncaa making a mockery of us. Supporting it is harmful to the university
-
We should have declined this. Especially when it turned out we'd play away to Orlando. I'd just no show the game without any notice now. We've been made a mockery of
-
I won't watch this. If we advance maybe I'll watch the next round but I don't want to watch us against Orlando in this situation
-
We really should just not show up. Don't give any advance notice, just no show and let them figure it out.
-
Shouldn't even accept this. Just no show. Better than getting embarrassed again
-
Days like today make me relieved that I don't bother going to games or getting overly invested in our athletic programs anymore. Any opportunity to do something big and they fill their pants. Sat by and let themselves go from big east to the worst conference ever assembled, and now regularly lose to ai generated schools. It's time to end this entire athletic program and stop wasting our money.

We lost to a school with a Madden create a team logo. An utter embarrassment to everyone involved in this university.

It's hilarious that any of you think a conference improvement is in the cards for us. We just had a chance to go to the tournament and blew it by losing to a school that the sun belt would turn their nose up at. This whole athletic program should be burned to the ground before it embarrasses us any further.

We will unfortunately show up with a turd stain of an aac logo on our shirt. We have no chance.

Bottled it like we always do.
Leave the AAC now.

It was a fun January and February. Hopefully we can replicate it from the beginning next season.
And go where? Who would want us?
I prefer no conference over watching this
-
Losing to Alabama Birmingham is a complete joke. We've let the AAC drag us down to a level we'd have never accepted 20 years ago. Leave this conference now.

Heck if that is the Cade then USF is already set in the AAC. Might as well dominate the AAC and continue growing the fan support. Plenty of other programs will survive if SEC & Big Ten run away. College sports will be more pure without them anyway
Should leave the AAC immediately. There isn't a single worse conference. I'd sooner join the sun belt
-
I would join the two team pac 2 before suffering through another season of aac football.

We need to get out ahead of realignment and leave the AAC. I'd rather play new Mexico state 11 times than have to follow another set of American conference games

Wait until you see the UTSA gym on Wed, you will know we have hit the big time!
Embarrassing.

aaaand this is why i am a fairweather bball fan
foul after foul
let them play the freaking game
Worst part is they were mostly letting them play early, then when the games on the line it's a whistle every possession

15-0 run is embarrassing.
-
We're going to blow this aren't we?
-
What has abdur Rahim done to usf? This is unrecognizable. Very impressive turnaround.

Won't be tuning in to watch Orlando community College but if we get through it'd be fun to play a former conference rival in Villanova.
