  1. All he had to do was signal a fair catch on an onside kick? The ball hit the ground all ready. You can't signal a fair catch until the ball is in the air and the same goes for after it hit sthe ground. One more point-- YOU CAN'T SIGNAL A FAIR CATCH ON A KICKOFF, PERIOD! The ball is live immediately after it is kicked and can be recovered by the defense as soon as it goes 10 yards. I thought the "leaping" call was chickenshit. That call hasn't been made EVER in the NFL from what I understand. Where those jerkwad referees pulled that lame ass call from is anyones guess. They literally gave the ball game away by letting the Colts Idiot Kicker get 15 yards closer-- and even then the dufus almost missed the chip shot off the goal post. That was the Bucs win-- plain and simple. I can't understand even for a minute how they let that game get away from them. I know Brian Kelly is a good cover cornerback but come on-- DOUBLE TEAM Harrison! ugghh-- that was just horsecrap! Two home games-- two easily avoidable losses. A championship team doesn't lose those types of ballgames. They better get their chit together and pronto if they expect to have any shot at home field advantage any time this year-- too many teams have ZERO losses already.
  2. Let's say miracles of miracles occur (and it's really not that difficult to believe they an pull this off this year) and the Flubs finally win a world series. Do they actually lose that luvable loser luster they have abused their silly fans with for so many years? Many people bring up the Red Sox as the ultimate team to feel sorry for but the Cubs last won a World Series in 1908. The White Sox last won in 1917. I believe the Red Sox last one was in 1918 (or is it 1915?-- I forget). But the bottom line for me is that no one has really given the White Sox much love for being the hapless team that never wins the golden prize when they have endured nearly as long a wait as these other two teams.
  3. Get your priorities straight Justin! 1) Atlanta has NO Bulls on their team. 2) You're moving to freaking Canada anyway 3) The Falcons blow monkey without Vick
  4. Too bad for UCF that they left. They might have won the Atlantic and gotten an NCAA bid last year.
  5. Hard to believe Steve-o has gone this long without asking us vital questions of mundane significance. Anybody find the body yet?
  6. If it pairs the list down to those who actually want to get tickets, then so be it. If you won't part with $50 bones, are you showing any thing even resembling a going concern? Now if the Bucs do it, I doubt I would keep my iron in the fire ONLY because I already have my season tickets. I just wanted to see how long it would take to get the call-- at this point, if they did call me, I'd buy the tickets and sell them to one of my many friends who is desperate to get in on the season ticket band wagon.
  7. when did you predict this? And even if you did-- predicting anyone in the NFL will be injured some day is about as tough as predicting the sun will rise.
  8. I think we are getting some good work from Carl Crawford as well. Lugo and Travis Lee have made some impact. They are fun to watch and going to the games is getting better. I'm kind of used to the warehouse they play in. Pinella has made a difference- anyone who says he hasn't or wants to dwell on past performance is being extremely short sighted. I agree-- Winning the division (or finsihing second/wild card) is the biggest problem these guys will have. Who know sthough-- put enough successful seasons together, increase the attendance/merchandise sales, and they might have enough money to get the missing players to over come that difficult obstacle. Some injuries ot he Yankees could send them into a tailspin-- it's really about luck and timing. I like the Rays chances in the next few years.
  9. Sorry to throw a barb your way Mr. Mazza-- I'm running out of material and I went to the well. It doesn't bother me Steve-- there isn't much to talk about I guess. Not too many Buc fans interested in talking about the team here apparently.
  10. Let's hear it for the Rays-- they swept the Orioles (edit-- the stupid ass on the radio this morning said it was the Rangers) yesterday. Maybe this has not registered with you guys but the Rays are playing great baseball this year. Maybe not good enough to finish over .500 but you never know. Lou's got them firing on all cylinders. I'm hopeful for next season. He's really made a difference in attitude of these young players. That's the beuty of baseball. Unlike basketball which IMO is a freaking yawn fest once your team sucks or football where you can pretty much tell when a team just doens't have the ability to compete week to week (Bengals)-- baseball is a game that has plenty of opportunity for excitement. It may be a bit slower than the other sports in terms of field action but each game can be pretty interesting in itself. oh sorry-- I forgot this board has turned into the smazza trivia corner... my bad.
  11. he won't be available until very late in the season. Almost made me think that Shaun King was in trouble since they will not be carrying 4 QB's. Doubtful that Simms would get put on the practice squad since it would open him up to waivers. He's played way to well in the preseason not for someone to want to grab him up and steal the Bucs 3rd round pick. This kind of puts the Jets situation into perspective. I don't think we need to worry about MB getting out there any time soon. It would just draw attention to him if he plays well (he will)-- maybe Herm is playing this right. Assuming MB gets on their practice squad, he can either come in once one of their guys goes down (granted with ZERO snaps behind him) OR he gets to work on his game in NFL Europe-- maybe for Doug Graber?????
  12. It's AC Green-- no doubt about that. My memory tells me it was 950 straight games. Then he got hurt, not too long after breaking the record. What a wussy.
  13. I would post the answer but I read the article. That's not trivia, it's regurgitation from my perspective.
  14. Time for you to watch that movie again. It's "Mean Machine, Mean Machine". By the way-- those films are all listed-- it's a top 50 listing. Caddyshack only made it to the top twenty (unless you are one of those folks who don't consider it a sport )
  15. stupid? more like worth the embarassment
  16. The whole game-- it was worth watching for a change.
  17. Riiiiiight. Tell me again how they helped the Predators beat the Storm then.
  18. well that certainly narrows down the choices-- LOL
  19. I meant the write in candidate, not a "Mickey Mouse"-like candidate. You know-- the silent protest against the election where people put in anything as a write in candidate. Perhaps "Beavis" would have been more relevant. uhhhhh..... heh heh .... Shut up, Beavis. Sorry to hear you lost by two votes-- was there a recount? You know how much we like recounts here in Florida.
  20. I heard an analogy on TV this morning that made me laugh. They were talking about the recall of California Gov Davis as being a method of overturning the outcome of the election. The analogy(paraphrased): "This is like the Raiders recalling the loss to Tampa Bay in the Superbowl so they could try again" Yeah-- sure-- like the Raiders would even come close to beating the Bucs if they had to play them again. The Bucs are a better team all-around. Elections-- well-- you could be the best politician in the world and still lose to Mickey Mouse as a write in candidate.
