I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that they're going to maximize the entire open area. Should be bad ass.

Went. Had a ****(gosh darn) good time. That city really embraces it's bowl game like none of the other bowl games I've attended. The Bullspen meetup was fun, too.

Doesn't get any better for out of town Bulls.
Hell yeah!

Our gold helmets are, by FAR, the best and our green helmets are, by FAR, the worst. It took, what, 15 years to fix our gold helmets? USE THEM.
The BullsPen is back to normal now.

don't mind that guy. he wanted heath fired during his first year here. The same usf fans calling for Willie his first year would also call for saban to be fired when bama lost to ul Monroe his first year lol
If you're talking about me I still know Heath isn't the guy for the job, then again mediocre (at best) isn't good enough for someone like me.
Usf will never be a consistent winning bball program with Heath but if you're happy with a flash in a pan season once every 5-10 years he's your guy.
I don't think Willie will ever have a good season at usf. Recruiting only gets you so far. I see the plays being called, it's painful. Defend away.
I'd like to thank you for allowing me to, from this day forth, scroll right past anything you have to say.
Wow.

CWT's main problem is putting the team in long yardage situations with his stupid pre-snap movement. It doesn't fool anybody. White is obviously not smart enough to make sure the motion man is set before calling for the ball.
I have no problem with this particular play. I do have a problem with continuing to do the same stupid things and expect some different outcome.
Except that motion is not about fooling the other team. It's about the other team showing you what coverage they're in.
In those cases, the problem wasn't the motion being called, it was the motion being executed. That's on the players, not the coach.

I liked the call. We were a 2-8 team that was not going bowling that was playing their rival and he wanted to make a statement. He has been talking all year about this team having a fragile psyche and lacking confidence. This call was all about showing your team you have confidence in them. You have confidence in the offense to get the 2 yards and you have confidence in the defense to stop them if you don't get it. This was an anti-Skip call. These players have had 3 years of playing not to lose and not playing to win with their coach having no confidence in them. This is all about trying to change the culture.
It didn't work and we were still up 4 in the 4th quarter with the ball after a pick in UCF's territory. This game was there for the taking despite the call.
That.
No one mentions the "3 points lost" on Kloss' missed FG, late in the game. The Mike White pick on the final drive was the second chance we had to tie the game. We lost this game because of a lack of execution by players who have not "learned how to win" yet.
I honestly don't know how anyone can watch that game and think that our coaching staff didn't coach their asses off and put their team in position to succeed.
-
Sometimes a play call like that gives your team confidence even if it doesn't succeed.
Go back and watch DeDe walk up to him before the time out and practically beg him to go for it, telling him "we got this."
That same call at this point in the game is probably not the correct call, but at that time, it absolutely was.

. Also, how long will it take for Taggart to fix the penalty problem? Seems there is no sign of improvement?
You can't fix stupid.

We've been inside the redzone a dozen times all year. No reason to expect we would be down there again and we will eventually need touchdowns to win.
This.

Glad to see some discipline, sad that it is seniors.
Another example of players in a position of leadership that just. dont. get it.
I'm kinda glad they were Seniors......in a way.

Most impatient fan base ever.
I really doubt that.
An impatient Bulls fan probably would doubt that.
It really is unbelievable. There are no trades or free agency in college football. This will take time.

Our success will be limited by our crummy conference.
Just win, baby.
The Big East didn't make us a losing program in the same way that the American doesn't make us a losing program. We are in this "crummy conference" because we didn't win and force ourselves to be a commodity in others' eyes.

Came across this today. I love this story and think it's very relevant to us.
Duke had an abysmal program, and David Cutcliffe has come in and done all the right things to change the mentality, performance, and culture of the program. If you want some indication of what a culture change looks like (when it works), how long it might take, and what the results can be, this is a great read.
TLDR:
Cutcliffe knew teams with more established reputations also had more established recruiting tracks. He had to build his own.
"I tell prospects, if you don't want to run and be pushed and conditioned, you don't need to come here,"
It's taken years to build minds, and the path has included some breakdowns.
The weak minds (and bodies) were gone
"I expected to win an ACC championship," says the redshirt senior. "He laid it out. He told me about the process, and what he was wanting and expecting to do."
I love everything about this.
When you think about it, Taggart has said and done some very similar things in year 1.
-
When I think about this season and get depressed, I just look to the north at UF to regain hope. They have a $100m athletic budget which is nearly 4x ours. They had a national championship in 06 and again in 08 (96 was the prior one) are 4-7 today soon 4-8 after fsu beats them Sat. Look at those zook years and how bad that was.
Or fsu. Four or Five years of 6 loss seasons before finding their way back under Jimbo. Two NCs in the 90's. Might win one this year again. Nice rebound.
We were not at that high of a level so our fall was from and is to a lower level, but both of these examples illustrate we are probably in our dark days at the bottom. We will rebound. Taggart will repair what skip did. Heck I'm still pissed at leavitt as he started this unraveling.
History proves teams go up and down over the years. There are ebbs and flows. From a possible and probable 2-10 season (can't believe how bad that looks in print) the only direction is up. We are a great school in a great place in a state with enormous football talent and our coach is a great recruiter. It's just a matter of time.
Today's game will suck but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
All of this.

At this point it's no longer about a handshake.
You have Joshua Brown, who was going to be one of our starting DBs this year before he tore his Achilles, talking trash about his Coach. He is still on this team and if he's talking on social media, he's talking in the locker room.
Cut the fat. Remove the cancer.
I want to agree with this......I really, REALLY do............but, as JTrue said way back on page 1: "Nothing good has ever come from reading a teenager's twitter."
19 Seniors and a BUNCH of transfers after this season make this year's recruiting class THE most important of Coach Taggart's entire coaching career. I have confidence that he'll find smarter, more mature(this is key) players than the previous regime(s) could get in here.
-
I know it's nearly impossible, but I hope everyone will just keep the hype out of the picture next season. That always seems to spell doom for us.
......which is why the beginning of 2007 was the best AND worst thing to ever happen to this program.
-
The trenches.
If we read between the lines, early on, Taggart said that he was surprised at how this team had seemingly forgot to use the sparkling weight training facility they have at their disposal. -
That photo is BAD. ASS.

Feel better, I felt this offense just need a qb and it would click and I was glad to see it start clicking last night.
White will be better next year having played this season. Bench I think isn't that bad he just needs more polishing and if
we get Flowers we will have some decent qb depth like we have never had before.
After starting the season with a freaking beatdown by McNeese you gotta say this team has greatly improved since then.
It will take awhile to get rid of the stench of Holtz and it really starts when CWT can get his guys on this team. The guy can recruit also. Earlier this year this team would have folded to Houston after they went up a few touchdowns, CWT has made this
team mentally tougher and they played tough and had a legit shot to beat a good team on the road.
If we can finish the season with 2-3 more wins I will be very happy with this programs direction.
A win vs UCF would actually make this a pretty good season considering how it started.
The season isn't much longer so just relax and enjoy watching CWT build up this program. We only have a month of football left.
This.
Flat out...both our football and basketball lack
