MattRat &  lovintheusfbulls,  To repeat what I said earlier, I believe a good tradition to bring back would be allowing students/fans to bring cowbells to the sporting events once again.  

I believe the reason the tradition was originally stopped was due to it being against C-USA rules and regulations.  But with our impending move to the Big East those restrictions on allowing noise makers at sporting events may differ from C-USA's.  And thus may allow us to resume the tradition under Big East rules.  

So you say you are looking for ideas, I believe this would be a great one to look into.  

Is there any way the Student Bulls Club could look into this & let us know?  I checked out the BE website, but they only listed recruiting violations under the rules & regulations section.  

I love to bring my cowbell to the game, but I actually got caught with it at the last home football game & had to walk all the way back to my car to put it away before they'd let me in the game.  Losers!

That's a really great analogy, wildrover.  But, if we take the info from another thread that says Julmiste will more than likely be our starter again in 2005 <*shudder*>,  :'( then how can we justify keeping an OC who obviously cannot adjust his coaching to the ability of the players he has to work with?

S.Bien, others out there may be interested, too.  My husband & I were just talking the other day about why USF players are perceived as "thugs" by other schools' players and/or coaches.  As fans we really don't see it (or don't want to see it?!)  But we've heard the same thing over & over for the past several years. ???

amie_abull here. . . me & my husband usually sit about 3 rows back from you guys, we almost always wear Bulls jerseys & beads to the game.  My husband (big, bald guy) is the one that's been bringing the digital camera & taking videos of you all doing the "fan" pushups after every score. We also have the "real" cowbell ;D

What's so bad about storming the field?!?  I've done it (before the days of the warning signs promising death to your first born) and it was pretty cool.  We got to walk right up to the players & congratulate them on a great game/season/whatever.  The players & coaches didn't seem to mind, just the uptight Ray-Jay security detail.  I even remember a quote from Coach Leavitt saying he didn't see any harm . . . so what's the big deal?

Stupid cop said they were drunk & disorderly. Duh - it's a FOOTBALL game, 3/4 of the crowd is drinking!!!  Then he covered up his badge number & refused to give it to them.  I guess that really riled the guys, so the trooper signalled to TPD to come down & evict the 2 guys. About 20 minutes later a group of their friends had to leave the game to go post bail.  

This group of fans is at all the games in the student section just to the right of the goal post in Mike's picture, cheering their hearts out & trying to get the rest of the section to do the same.  There was no way those guys deserved to get tossed - total B.S.

Amen to that, BigShoop!  You're not one of the guys in our row that got kicked out by that idiot FHP trooper last Saturday, are you?  What a load of BULL that was   >

Is anyone going to the Louisville game?  Mombull is going and would like to hook up other BULL fans.  

The hubby & I are going to Louisville.  We got tix at the USF box office in Sec 103, Row A!

What's up with the band's lack of playing? They play a total of 3 different songs/chants and they are only about every 20 minutes or so.....who decides when they can and can't play?

Our band SUCKS!!!!  They never play any songs to get the crowd into the game, they never play during time-outs, they never learn any new songs . . . Most high school bands in the area know more songs than them  :
