cant believe I missed this and never saw anything before I glanced at the paper this morning, but Dave Andreychuk said he wants to play another year. He is technically an unrestricted free agent but I believe the only place he will play is in Tampa.

yeah I def have heard things about the negotiations... lets just say the meeting they had in Tampa during the Finals was pointless. Yesterday's meeting was actually a positive one, talked and discussed several issues but they are still FAR from any agreements. The biggest hangup is the owenr's wanting a hard salary cap and the players wanting to retain their open market value. The players SHOULD give in some in this situation because IF the NHL report of players earning 76% of NHL revenue is true that is a ridculously high number.

well FYI, if anyone is planning on getting ticket packages for next season you need to do it soon. A lot of sections are sold out already and your selection of seats is dwindling. and help a student out and message me on here if you want to buy any packages ;D

yeah there were def a lot of words that sounded wrong... and what was up with the wrestling intro's? having the players come in through the crowd looked stupid! -
part of the reason that Bonds is walked so much is that the rest of his team is average at best, so they dont have much risk in walking him and taking their shot with the rest of the lineup.

fans will be able to have pictures with the cup during the monday night DVD celebration at the Forum. Lightning hockey equipment and other random things will be auctioned off for charity as well. I want to say doors open at 5pm but im not sure on that, ill let everyone know tomorrow for sure

i havent seen a "schedule" per se for it, it will be heading off the with the players soon and then will be back in August. So your best shot for a pic with it will most likely be when it gets back in August. ill be sure to let everyone know if there any "appearances" coming up

they will be the last team added on the current ring of names, next year the top ring will be "retired" into the HOF and a new one will be added. I would think the players names would go on before they all take it out on their trips. the cup has not left on the players trips yet, as far as i know (saw it saturday), but it wil be leaving soon and then be back in mid-august

as of 6/18 it did not have their names on it, not sure when they will be put on. if I see the cup handler around again I will def be sure to ask

I promised a long time ago of pics of the cup and finally got them back from the photographer.... sorry no more pics... PS. always have to keep things in perspective... notice the nice USF laniard!

they were both guys that had been in the league for over 20 yrs and both were considered better to some of the best players in their respective leagues. Yes Andreychuk was more of a feel good story and I think Malone would have been just as good of story had he been with the Jazz still, but most bad mouthed him because he signed with the Lakers in pursuit of a championship. -

im not a laker fan but i wanted them to win.... between not being able to stand 'sheed and the pulling for the old guys that have played forever and never won (ie Andreychuk, Malone, etc) phenomenon the Lakers were my team for a week, but unfortunately they forgot to show up -
dont forget that potentially their best pitcher isnt even with the club officially yet (as far as i know). They just drafted a stud out of Rice, Jeff Niemenan or Neiman (something like that). He is a big guy 6' 6+ and some have said that he could be called up by the end of this year if he signs quickly!

you need to bring your ticket stub(s) to the premium services lounge to pick up the glass. That was what I was referring to when I said a giveaway on the way out, but I must have missed when they decided to pass them out differently. The premium services lounge is located on the same level as the box office and the main administration offices. I am not sure if they will leave the premium services door open so it is accessible through the box office or not. Your best bet would prob just be go the main reception desk, located on the northside of the building off of channelside.

The parade will be tomorrow (wednesday) at 12 pm. The parade will start approx. at Channelside and Florida, go up Florida to Jackson, Jackson to Morgan, Morgan to Channelside and inside the Forum. After the parade, there will be a rally inside that should start aroun 1:30. After the rally, Eddie Money will perform on the Plaza at aroun 2:30. He will be followed by a local band to keep the party going. yeah it will be hot as crap, but it will be worth it!! yeah i know wrong board and posted already elsewhere, but it will only be here for a couple hours being as the event is tomorrow!
