  1. Good win, great effort by the players, poorly coached game especially at the end. I saw Buckley argue with Mac towards the end about the in bounds play, Mac yells at him and then shakes his head as if to agree with Buckley. Buckleys reaction was like "what a head case!!!" Mac is psycho! He looses his direction, yells at players and has them do stupid plays that do not work. Bucley, Mattis and Verdejo started to move around without the ball to try to get open. Mac yelss at them to stay still. End result, turnover, turnover, forced outside shot. Those three players have O confidence in the coach. I wonder why!!! Great job by the kids. Horrendeous job by the coach!    Reaper

  2. Besides the obvious issue, one thing I have noticed is this. The players are not moving without the ball. They stand and wait for the ball to come to them, instead of constantly moving to get into an open position. If you notice the top teams on how they play, they are always on the move away from the ball. Even on set plays, the good teams are moving. This sets up the play. Our guys unfortunately have not been coached to do this, which has lead to laziness on the court, bad passes, turnovers, poor rebounding. Another area has already been mentioned... free throws. Evidently, the free throw issue is not important, (like a lot of issues on this team) to warrant extra work. My work ethic would be to run the court. Stop play shoot free throws, run the court, stop shoot free throws etc. I feel our guys are not conditioned. They are in the lazy mode which reflects the free throws. This is a coaching issue. And lastly, I feel these kids DO want to succeed. They are affraid, or sick and tired of being yelled at all the time. There is no morale on this team. No fire. They are affraid to speak up, affraid to lead for fear of retribution(remember it's my way or the highway). This is ALSO a coaching issue. Shooper, I know you are doing the right thing by bringing a different slant to this issue, but unfortunately it always will revert back to the coaching issue. Until we see a change, we will remain in the mediocrity we are expiriencing.     Reaper

  3. Here's a fact. We almost got to have Bob Knight as our coach. He loves to fish, wanted a warm climate, and was considering USF, but Seth was in the last 2 of his contract and we couldn't pony the cash on the buy out. Plus, BK wanted so serious cash on his contract and we could not come up with that too! Just think of what it could have been.    Reaper

  4. Plus the fact that the drugs they gave the kid for the shoulder had not taken effect yet. He really was in pain physically. Plus he in his entire carreer had never seen speed from a defense like that. Just as White from WV. We bring it, and with an O line who couldn't handle us on a stampede, he was a sittin duck, or I should say Plurple Plirate( LOU HOLTZean pronounciaction) who we made walk the plank! The kid was good.
