  1. God, please don't strike me down, but I have to agree with goodknight on this one.  The possibility of Leavitt becoming coach at UM is clearly behind Silly-o's change of heart.  He wouldn't want to be shut out at the U by the new head coach (assuming Leavitt is offered and takes the position).  Shows how much the ding dong (silly-o, not goodknight...at least this time) knows, because Leavitt would never go to the U.

  2. Man, will we ever learn.  Sure, we beat WVU yeesterday, but we are not good enough to take ANY team for granted.  We better be ready to play against ECU or anyone else we play or we will look silly.  College football is 60% emotions.  If we are thinking, yuck what a crummy matchup, and ECU is thinking, finally we can get revenge, well I don't want to think about what might happen.

Here's to hoping our coaches and players respect whoever we play.  It's kind of funny that some posters on this message board are complaining about the lack of respect that people are showing us after beating WVU while at the same time we show absolutely no respect for ECU.  That's a dangerous attitude to take folks.  Beware.

Maybe lots of teams play in bowl games, but it is still a privilege to be in one.  Ask the fans of teams that are not going to bowl games if they are going to enjoy the off season very much.  My family and I will be in B'ham in full Bull regalia and I will be rooting the Bulls mightily.  I will not disrespect our opponent no matter who they are.

  3. Why would Dell write that we have a history of "having trouble every time we leave the state?"  I don't think UNC believes that.  Last year at Rutgers?  At UAB?  Memphis?  TCU?  East Carolina?  Pitt?  North Texas?  at Syracuse?  Seems to me we have won quite a few games on the road over the last 4-5 years.  Maybe not a top ten win mind you, but that is not what Dell wrote.

  4. They were on the proposed future schedules that Brett found on USF's site.  The issue was that it appeared that we would enter a 1-1 agreement with them.  They are currently in the same conference for football as Illinois State (Gateway).  The Gateway has already talked with South Dakota State and North Dakota State about moving in for football.  It was pretty much a foregone conclusion that WKU would move up.

  5. Joe, but the gushing never lasts long.  Besides, that doesn't get at all his 'gushing' last year over CFU.  It is about who has their games on Sunshine....we don't, so even though they have received some e mails from USF fans, they don't have to be accountable to us.  Paying attention to us is like giving Brighthouse free advertising in their minds.  It is simple economics.  They will only pay attention to us when they absolutely have to....like the week after the Louisville game last year.  Otherwise, they could care less about USF.  To imply that we are relevant only when we beat somebody as Watson has done here is a farce.  All I am saying is cut the crap.

  6. What a hypocrite.  Last year Watson was wetting himself when CFU won 8 games....7 of which were against losing teams.  Why can't he just admit that our games are not played on his precious 'network' and that is why they will NEVER give us attention.  We BEAT #9 Louisville last year.  Why is that not beating SOMEBODY?  Just another seemingly smug writer who always got picked last on the playground when he was in school.

  7. Also, if you check the prospect lists of football recruits on Rivals and Scout, we are currently recruiting to Julmistes from south Florida.  At least one is related to Pat.  Everything JL says is calculated for effect.  Another thing, what if Pat has to be the guy next Saturday against Cuse.  I want JL to start building up his confidence right now.

  8. I can't believe after the way the Cincy game went a couple weeks ago that you guys are so flippantly dismissing Syracuse.  Haven't you figured out yet that every game in the BE will be a battle.  Yes, Cuse is a home game, but I wouldn't be counting any game as an automatic "W" this time of year.
