1. See?  Look what you can do when you just start off with a modest stadium of your own.  That's exactly what we need to do.  45,000 or so seats on-campus with an expandable plan to 65,000, then 85,000.

USF already has a 65k stadium.  Why drop down to 45k?

UL didn't already have a nice 65k stadium when they built their 45k

    apples & oranges.

    Correction....

Malcolm Glazer already has a nice 65K stadium.

Let's be accurate in what we say.

    That's a 65K seat RENT-A-STADIUM for the Bulls.

If the town of Louisville had RayJay stadium, do you seriously think they would've built one?

no, you say?  Yeah, I don't think so either.

Dude, you're getting so caught up in the "keeping up with th Joneses" mentality, you've over looked that we are already ahead of the Joneses!

Ummmmm.........yeah.........again, that's akin to saying that a 30 year-old who still lives with his parents in their nice mansion is "ahead" of me and the nice 4 bedroom 3 bathroom house that I MYSELF own.

You seem to be constantly overlooking the fact that USF does not own Raymond James Stadium.  In terms of what we're talking about, we are not ahead of ANYONE who has their own stadium......even UCF now!!

I assure you (again,) if ucf or UL had RayJay at their disposal, they wouldn't have built a stadium.

  4. Just waiting on the announcement of where we go! I'd like some imput on what people are looking for on a bowl shirt. We definitely want to feature USF not the Other school!

If you have constructive ideas let me know, but hurry. I have a fealing the anouncement is coming soon. ECU has already accepted for the Pizza Bowl (Papa Johns)

How about the Bowl logo....then under that put...

    "I bought an X-large shirt....

    got this medium one free!

Something I never saw last year was a polo with the bowl logo on the left breast area...

I got one at the team hotel.

  6. some other gig? Who will USF hire? Will they care about USF as much as some of us do? Bulliever... its a six figure payday... would that be a big enough payday to throw your name in the hat? Personally, I've never been a Veit fan. And most of you here know that... hopefully someone with moxy gets hired for the job... someone who eats, drinks, and sleeps Bulls and would put the job ahead of all else. It is such a single man's job.

I would pass up my branch office in Ft. Myers and a huge payday if USF would give me a legitimate shot at running marketing and a slightly less payday. I can learn on the fly with the best of them. Oh well... it'll be interesting to see where the search goes...

    Back to work now...

Writing the appraisal now on the house of a former Florida State football player now with the Cardinals. Pretty sweet pad to say the least. The guy has real nice taste.

Marketing was my major at USF.  I'll do it!

  7. Just made reservations at the Sheraton Birmingham for me and the family.  I said screw it... I can cancel without penalty if we go to Texas.

There are a few cheaper rates out there, but I decided that I wanted to stay at the Team Hotel this year.  Got 2 nights (22/23) for about $210 after taxes.

is everyone sure this wil be the team hotel?

Also, where do you see that you can cancel?  Their website says no.

  8. put down the kool ade my friend

so you're saying that Rod Smith is better than Larry Coker?  Ok, your vote has been noted.

realistically, i think Coker might end up at FIU worst case scenario.  He obviously has made a decent recruiting trail through So. Fla, enough that he could develop something with FIU.  However, I'd love to see him as OC here.  I just have memories of the Ken Dorsey/Andre Johnson/Jeremy Shockey/Portis days when Coker was calling the plays and they were an offensive juggernaugt (good defense too).  That'd be great over here with Grothe = Dorsey

I'd like to place an order for a pound of whatever it is you're smoking.

  9. I agree... I just wish it would happen now!  Like everyone else on this board... haha

    I can't bullieve it didn't happen 11 years ago?  ::)

Hell, Miami is (usually) a top program, they don't even sell out regularly.  It's a  different animal when there's Pro sports teams in town.

Most Universities don't have to compete  with a Professsional sports market.
