  1. Whether it be the ones that cover USF or nationally, but more to USF coverage why are the tough questions never posed to a coach and then if not answered directly, the reporter follows it up and pushes for an answer to the question and not a beat around the bush answer.

    Example:

Willie: Mike White's head wasn't in the game;  but he is our starting QB next week

Media-I don't understand how that is acceptable and tolerated, you are willing to take a chance that his head won't be in the game next week, you are more than half way through the season & your QB's head isn't the game

Media-Wille your offense has ranked  xyz at USF and xyz at WKU, how can you continue to expect to win with offensive #'s such as those.

I know i am picking on Willie but there are many many situations where the media doesn't push the envelope with coaches or administrators and i never understand why

  2. I am really trying to come up with a good answer why he isn't playing.  Why wasn't he inserted into the game for the 2nd half of Cincy, why isn't he starting this week……..Facts are Mike White and Bench are not the future, bowl hopes are slim why not see what you got. The few offensive series Flowers has played this season is no way to judge his talent. I understand why he did play those series, he was promised he wouldn't be redshirted & so for future recruiting purposes Willie played him.

Many people want to give Willie more time, I am not necessarily opposed to that but I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel with the most important position on the field & that is very concerning.  There is no stud QB in the recruiting pipeline and the supposed 4 star stud that was brought in at QB is not playing, i am very puzzled by the whole situation.

True freshman play at many other programs & are very successful, if your going to lose this year like we are, you mind as well go down with a freshman that shows there is a glimmer of hope.  But losing with a 2 star recruit who pretty much played football only in his senior of HS in 3A competition no less or kid only got recruited to Penn St because of their situation (he had no other "big time" offers) is absolutely mind boggling

Leavitt, Selvie and Nevins are clear future additions. I'd say Grothe, Daniels and maybe DoJo. There aren't glaring omissions. A couple current coaches and maybe a few soccer dudes.

No need to force the issue and keep throwing people in now.

You are out of your mind, how many championships did they win and in the case of the 1st 2 how many interceptions did they throw? Not even close to HOF material.......

Blackwell is in. Grothe and Daniels should be as well in my opinion. But I can see debate on them.

If you're arguing Selvie, Nevins or Leavitt (for reasons other than the allegations made) then we will have to agree to disagree. Those three are clearly deserving.

Grothe and Daniels shouldn't even get a look, unless its an HOF of interceptions and mediocrity

You want to be a big boy, you gotta put on your big boy pants a play the big boys

Does you no good to play them if you are going to get steam rolled by them, like it or not the reality is in the next 1-3 yrs we are not going to have the athletes to compete, i am not saying schedule MAC schools 5 yrs down the road from now, but though they won't be exciting playing them the next 1-3 yrs so we got a shot at winning and going to a bowl is better for the long-term.

If expansion every occurs again they will look back and say 2014 USF went 7-5 and won a bowl  2015 USF went 8-4 and won a bowl etc> they won't look back and say USF went 7-5 or 8-4 etc> and played schools A, B, C, D……I want it more than anyone and put my money where my mouth is but you gotta be realistic.

Going 5-7, 4-8 etc with loses against SEC school does you absolutely no good, we aren't going to run the AAC table (athletes just aren't there yet) so you need some OOC games to get you W's and confidence.

EVERY big boy started off in diapers.

I would much rather the comments be, "USF was too good of a team to be playing so-and-so in this bowl game. They need to be in better bowls"

instead of the comments being, "USF had no business playing so-and-so in this bowl game. They don't need to be playing in these bowls."

Most boys don't go from diapers to underwear and regress back to diapers and we most certainly did

Agree, but the fact is, we're there. We're not the first team to have to rebuild. Won't be the last.

My point is playing big time schools (in the next 1-3 yrs) isn't going to make your team better, getting wins and going to bowl games is going to make your program better in the long run….

  8. We need to consistently get 4-5 teams into the tourney.

We need to consistently get 6 teams into bowls.

This means some teams need to loase so others can win. We need great OOC victories but we also need some AAC bottom feeders.

This also means when we schedule subpar OOC games so we can get wins to go to bowl games, people need not to ***** cause though playing Alabama and others would be fun we prob have less than a 10% chance of winning, so people need to decide would you rather play a big time programs get your ass blown out of the stadium or play a MAC school win and go to a bowl game......
