  1. Harlan's AD career at USF and his future will come down to one thing & that is  the next football hire and the success of the team in the next 3-4 yrs.   Willie is gone after this season if not mid-season and Harlan brings in his guy.

If Harlan doesn't have success at USF he will have a challenging time getting another AD job, he is only in his mid-40's so lots of yrs left unlike dougie. No success at USF and he goes back to a #2 guy, success at USF and he may be able to land an AD job at a bigger school.  In my opinion this one hire could define his career.

  2. It amazes me tho, all these haters, but let's face the facts. Fastest d1 school in the top 25, fastest in the top 10, and the fastest FOREVER in the top 3.

Can't be denied but its all about what have you done for me lately, and america has a short term memory  and the last 3-5 yrs have been nothing short of disaster. For those that make decisions about college football, they do not remember or care about the accomplishments you mentioned, that's reality

  3. Usually the people that brag about what they have usually have the least.

You are correct in some instances, and usually the people who bit*h about the team, support (financially) the team the least……unfortunately many members of this board fall into that category

  4. You can't tell anything from the soring game.

    We are playing against ourselves

Which is even worse, our defense is still probably mediocre at best (middle of the pack in AAC) and we still cant put up points, our offense is worst in the conference and defense gave up points.  if junk is practicing against junk and can't be successful how in the world are they going to be effective when playing against something even semi-decent. Bottom line; athlete vs athlete, its coaching in the sense that its their job to recruit the best athletes, unfortunately i just wonder if we have the athletes to compete, forget the schemes.

  5. Not renewing this year either. I'm struggling with how they tossed aside those who have stood by the program through this **** show on the field. I'll attend every game, but not at the premium I have paid for years. I have my bricks and locker there, and have facility donations still going to athletics, so I am happy with that. We've decided to give the money to veterans services this year and hopefully athletics changes course next year....

I'll be there, but with extra beer money

No course will be changed as far as tickets, so you mind as well drop those hopes now!

  6.

Show me wins. Show me that we can beat SEC teams and ACC teams and Notre Dame. I'm tired of the "we might be awesome, we're a sleeping giant, here's a lot of rhetoric". I got it. I went here. I know. I was there.

So you wanna show when they win but you don't wanna be there through thick & thin………….we'll gladly take your money when we do win but i hope you truly don't consider yourself a true Green & Gold fan.  The Athletic department was neglected?  It doesn't sound like you were at every game, and financially supporting every single year, so i guess we can throw you into the mix of those that neglected athletics.

    UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS

The Texas athletic program officially announced its pricing structure for the 2015. The average price of season tickets at Darrel K. Royal-Texas Memorial stadium went up by six percent. To sit on the fifty-yard line, new ticket buyers will pay $4,160 per seat, which includes a $3,500 contribution in addition to the $660 ticket price. However, a new, entry-level ticket was introduced to reduce the get-in-the-door price. The upper deck of the north endzone begins at $199 for the year. -Stefan Scrafield, The Dallas Morning News-

  8. I'm not new here as I read WAY more than I post(as you can see from my post count).   I do enjoy this site.  I am however totally upset(for lack of a better word) with the new scheme.  I am a herd level donor that has been with the team from day one.  I have attended almost every home football game.  I purchase two tickets and do not have club access.  Regarding the club access, for me personally, I don't need or want it.  Last season, I paid $835(seats and donation).  For 2015, the bill will be $1215 for the same seats.  That is for section 236, like I said, day one ticket holder.  The price increase for 2015 is beyond obscene.  Perhaps, if we were coming off a better season, with a consistently better product, then my opinion would likely be different.  Unfortunately, the timing of this new strategy is very likely to push me out of the USF football season ticket model.

I definitely understand your frustration, HOWEVER if we were coming off a couple 9 or 10 win seasons, many people would be saying that " USF is a bunch of jerks for doing this & they are only doing so because we've been better but I stuck with the team when they had 3 and 4 wins & now they are trying to screw me"  Its a no win situation however what is a win is the long term effect this will have on revenue and the athletic dept.  The "grandfathered" people are the only ones going to be frustrated and frankly there isn't that many to be concerned about.   Though we all should appreciate those than have been there since day 1 and have attended every single home game unfortunately those $100 donations aren't going to pay the bills & that's the bottom line!
