  1. Level II

Since you are Bulls, you will start with 100 points.

    1) Testing The purity of Your USF Heart

Have you rooted for the Noles/Canes/Bastard Gators since USF has had football?

(Subtract 10 points / Subtract an additional 10 points if you cheered for the Bastard Gators.)

[red]Yes when they played FSU and Miami and before I was a Bull. [/red]

Do you own Noles/Canes/Bastard Gators' paraphernalia (also known as 'garbage')?

(Subtract 10 points / Subtract an additional 10 points for Bastard Gator garbage)

[red]Absolutely NOT! But subversive family members have gotten an article under my radar to my son.  The boy only has Semenhole 'nailya.[/red]

    2) Testing Your USF Devotion.

Do you feel a deep hurt when we lose a football/basketball/baseball game (other sports also count)?

    (If "No", subtract 10 points.)

[red]Deep is subjective.  Disappointm't yes.  Greater in FB then basketball & then baseball.[/red]

When we recruit players, do you get emotionally attached to the outcome?

    (If "No", subtract 10 points.)

[red]I am disappointed when we lose out on the "big name" recruit that's much needed but not outwardly emotional.[/red]

Have you attended, transferred, or applied to another university since you were a Bull?

    (If "Yes", subtract 10 points.)

    [red]Nope.  Considered FSU's internet engineering master's degree.  So I have guilt.[/red]

    3) Testing Your Commitment To USF

Will you call in sick / cancel a hot date/ abandon something pretty important (like your anniversary) to watch/attend a major USF sporting event?

    (If "No", subtract 10 points.)

[red]Not a 100% of the time but the Wife has been "influence" to attend football on her birthday and basketball game on our anniversary.  I've also taken vacation days to go to Troy, AL, Greensville, NC & Gall Darn Birmingham, AL.[/red]

If for some ungodly reason USF Athletics were shut down completely, would you cry for days and days?

(If "No", ---You are dead inside, so subtract 20 points!)

[red]I don't cry but would consider taking Prozac for 6 mos to function.[/red]

When USF got football, did you hop/jump around like a little kid upon hearing the news?

    (If "No", subtract 20 points.)

    [red]Higher than the moon[/red]

    4) Testing Your USF Blood

If you had a choice to choose between a USF alumnus or your non-USF relative for employment, would you choose the Bull?

    (If "No", subtract 10 points.)

[red]I like Wooly's reply but if everything is equal its still a coin toss.[/red]

Would you let your child attend another university?

(If "Yes", hit yourself on the head and subtract 10 points.)

[red]Gotta qualify the answer, if a schollie is involved gonna havta say yes as long as the school offers a quality education.[/red]

Would you let your child attend Bastard Gator U?

(If "Yes", poke yourself in the eye and subtract 25 points!

    [red]See above answer.[/red]

Shucks, I have one eye n a concussion and I'm not a Bull no more.  Me thinks Basketball's poll is to harsh.

  2. Title 9 needs to be reworked. They simply must take football OUT of the equation entirely. The number of athletes required/used in that one sport alone has no equivalent in female athletics. It typically is also where the money comes to fund the rest of the teams in the first place. Basketball, while it is often the chief bread winner depending on the school-- does have a female equivalent.

Title 9 is slowly killing the sport of college wrestling, among others.

Wanna take it one step further.  Any sport which is self supporting financially should not be part of Title IX which includes football and men's D1 basketball.  Not to be sexiest but if the women want equal status they should have equal interest & equal venue sources.

  3. Not to be pessimistic but USF will not have 10000 spring game attenders until the Bulls win back to back national championships.  There is just to much to do on a 75-78 degree, sunny, spring afternoon in April in the Tampa Bay area.  Such as golf, beach, NHL playoffs, boating, jet skiing, fishing, Little League, outdoor basketball, MLB.  Compared to the great metropolis of Louisville, KY where the sun has probably come out 12 times since Halloween.  There is no comparison.  Heck Tampa Bay home owner are mowing lawns in April and a late snow in Louisville is not unheard of in late March.

  4. I don't think we can use Heinz as a good example-- they went into that stadium as full partners with the Steelers. When you go through the gates, there is a Panther on one side and Steeler logo on the other.

We might be more like Temple (but with less costs) is with the Eagles.

Why & how do you consider RJS a Bucs ownership type deal?  Did the Bucs put any money in the kitty to pay for RJS.  I think not. The Glazers/Bucs bullied their way to have  control but its a "community" stadium.  Our Hillsborough community leaders forgot/failed to make USF a partner 'cuz RJS was & is all about the Bucs.  USF is just another tenant like the defunct MLS team.

Wonder what would happen if USF did threaten to build a 38K stadium on campus w/the ablility to close in each EZ for a total of 20K total more seats 58K total.  Think they would share the keys to theRJS executive wash room?  Absolutely not.  They force TSA to foot the bill.

Question for the BBC'rs that went to the Polo grounds for the AllStar game in Jan.  How were the accomodations?  Would they be acceptable for 6 Bull home games?  Secondly could a decent facility house football and baseball?  Think Joe Robbie Stadium on a smaller scale?

  5. Bwaahahaha...but beer CAN be served on campus and there's plenty of parking on campus.  And the campus is more centrally located between I275 & I75 for better access to the stadium.  It would be such an improvem't to the campus experience.  And just imagine the Ah-vee-awn-centz of an on campus stadium.

Heehehehe...this boat is leaving the dock.  This dog will hunt.  There is no stopping this freight train thread.

  6. Good new...Swift won't play in the BE.  He's a senior next yr.  And yea he's definitely a defensive liability.  Bad new, neither will Leather  :(.  Hoping Jones will pick up that slack and Diarra will find some athleticism.  Bulls could have some starting size at the 4/5 w/those two in the first yr of BE play.  BTW our guards will be 6' plus to w/Collins Holmes & Prekevius.  Wonder if Mobley could play the 3?

  7. i am happy he is working and not mugging for camera

    i have the faith

That's one thing I have faith in is CRM's work ethic, coaching ability, and level headed decision making.  W's beget good recruits and good recruits beget W's.  It's a vicious cycle.  While this recruiting class is appears to be just adequate I know RCM will make the difference up in coaching ability.  Another thing is the team is definitely deeper on paper than it was on the court in 2004-2005.

  8. Not to knock our the Bull past greats but Hakim played Sun Belt basketball unlike Mr. Mobley who will play BE ball.  Comparison falls short.  Mobley seems to be an odd signing.

I see Brigman & Diarra & some Jones at the 5 with Leather, Jones & Mobley at the 4 spot.  TL will see some time at the 3 and even the 5 if CRM goes athletic or there is foul trouble.  Prekevicius will primarily be a three but I can see him drift to the 2 maybe even 4 when shooters are needed.  I know the 1 is Swift w/Collins making a big push by conference play  and Mosley spending some time here too.  The 2 is a lock for Mosley w/Holmes, Bryant and Flowers(?) backing up

I saw someone mention that Brian Graham could come back.  I'd like to see it.  He would give the team solid depth at the 2-3.  Might even be worthy of Mobley's schollie.  I see .500 ball 2004-05 as possible w/o any significant injuries and a cake OOC schedule.

  9. what game is more important?  TCU... due to being in conference.  I'd rather sweep tcu than worry about UCF.

Depends on what matters to USF or if the conference reg. season championship is still viable for our Bulls.  You pick. An easier path 2 the the second week of NCAA baseball playoffs or a conference championship.  My pick is conference c'ship 'cuz I think our Bulls are a stretch for Omaha.  BTW, rather see our Bulls go to Miami for the NCAA regional instead of Tallahassee.
